A few hours later
Alex had woken up and was shrugging the grass of his clothes.
"It's about to be evening already, Xiao Lie is supposed to come to the Xia Mansion. I guess, I should just move right now, if nothing then I will just go and talk with Qingyue. By now, everything must have sunk in her mind. That's the only reason I had left in the morning. That and also to give them a bit of father daughter bonding time."
Saying so, Alex flew towards the Xia Mansion and within a few seconds he arrived there, this tells us about the speed of an Emperor Realm Expert.
This time the moment the guards saw him, they cupped their hands and bowed their heads.
'Guess they were already were told about my arrival.'
Alex just nodded at them and moved inside. There a maid saw him and took him towards the room they were sitting in the morning, poured him some tea and went to inform the Xia family about his arrival.
Alex just calmly sat there and waited for either Hongyi or Qingyue to arrive.
Soon enough, the door opened and it was none other than our icy princess, Xia Qingyue.
Alex smiled at her and said, " Come inside Qingyue, have a seat, I wanted to talk to you. And where's your father?"
Xia Qingyue nodded and moved inside and elegantly sat on the other side of the table, i.e. in front of Alex.
"Where's your father?" Alex asked.
Xia Qingyue replied, "Father has gone to the Xiao family to invite Xiao Che's grandfather over personally."
Alex nodded, "That's great as I wanted to talk to you personally."
"So what do you think of everything that has happened today. Do you regret your decision?"
Qingyue looked at Alex and said, "To be honest I do not regret any of it. I am more than willing to devote my body and soul to you as long as you fulfill your promise."
"You do not need to be worried about that. I give you my word that I will definitely take you to meet your mother within the next three years."
"For now, I want you to come with me for a few days. We will travel together, then we will head out to the Frozen Cloud Asgard and settle things there."
"We will set out immediately after I deal with Xiao Che's grandfather."
Qingyue was a bit shocked but just nodded her head.
Alex sighed at her behavior as he thought she would be more startled and said, "We also need to remove that emotion suppressing technique as it basically makes you like a block of ice."
"Also, I wanted to tell you that you will not be my only wife, I am going to get a lot of wives."
Alex looked directly into her eyes and said, "I am by no means a good guy, I intend to live this life to my fullest and doing so, I mostly intend to indulge myself in the pleasures of body."
"Do you still accept me even after that?"
Qingyue looked into Alex's eyes and spoke, " I do not care about how many wives you have and I won't stop you ever as well. As long as you fulfill your promise, I promise to treat you as my God and devote my entire being into serving you."
Alex was surprised at her words and just said, "Thank you. I promise to take care of you."
"Also, I intend to take Xiao Lingxi as my disciple today, do you have any problem with that?"
Qingyue was surprised to hear that, "I do not have any problem with that but if I may ask, why do you intend to take her as your disciple?"
Alex just replied, " There are many reasons. Her existence is a special one and I would rather have her on my side than against me." and started to drink the tea that was on the table.
Qingyue squinted her eyes a bit and asked, "Could the real reason be the one you discussed with me before?"
Alex splurted out the tea a bit and looked at Qingyue staring daggers at him and just coughed a bit and said, "I won't lie by saying no."
Qingyue relaxed her eyes and said, " I see, at least you did not lie to me. And it would be better for that poor girl to be with you than to be in her own clan."
Alex furrowed his brows at what Qingyue had just said and was about to question her but just then, Alex sensed few auras moving towards the Xia Mansion and said,
"Our guests are about to arrive, let's get out to meet them."
Qingyue nodded and stood up and guided Alex to the main hall where the meeting was supposed to take place.
Soon, Alex and Qingyue reached the main hall and inside the main hall. Inside the main hall, there were three figures present.
One of them was Xia Hongyi and as soon as he saw Alex and Qingyue, he said, "Young Master Alex, Qingyue, come have a seat, I was just about to send someone to inform you."
Alex felt weird at being addressed as a Young master by someone who was going to be his father-in-law but just nodded and sat.
Qingyue just stood besides Alex.
Xia Hongyi introduced the two old men in front of him, "Young master Alex, these are the clan leader and the fifth elder of the Xiao clan. Clan leader Xiao wished to come as well to discuss things."
Alex nodded at him and saw that the two old men were looking at him and trying asses him. He just released his aura leaving Hongyi and Qingyue out of the pressure and solely focusing it on the two old men.
Alex took back his aura spoke, " I am an Emperor Realm cultivator and I wish to discuss a few things with you."
'This will help to skip the usual bullshit and any possible rash moves from them."
