Chapter 224 - Immersed in Sweetness

"Ah?" Fu Hanjiang exclaimed in surprise. "Who made our lovely Junjun unhappy? Tell uncle, and I'll help you get back at them, okay?"

"Look."

Junjun didn't hold back.

She lowered her head, raising her little arm to point at her hair. "I had a Minnie hairpin on each side, but now there's only one left! The other one ran away, and I don't know where it went!"

What?

Fu Hanjiang took a moment to understand.

Junjun was referring to her hairpins. She had one on each side of her hair, and now only the left side had one left.

Minnie hairpins? Fu Hanjiang thought, this little one really likes Minnie Mouse.

Playing along, Fu Hanjiang said sympathetically, "That's a shame."

"Exactly."

Junjun pouted unhappily. "Junjun and Grandma Xu searched for a long time but couldn't find it. It's so naughty!"

"Yes," Fu Hanjiang nodded, unable to suppress a smile.

"Junjun..."

Finally, Grandma Xu found her chance to speak.

She glanced at Fu Hanjiang several times. She remembered him; wasn't he the one they met at the park near their house last time?

It seemed like Junjun knew him, and she liked him quite a bit.

To be honest, this gentleman looked very distinguished and seemed quite wealthy. He didn't seem like a bad person.

However, it was always good to be cautious.

Grandma Xu picked up Junjun, giving Fu Hanjiang a forced smile. "Sorry to bother you, sir. The child doesn't know better."

"No problem." Fu Hanjiang smiled lightly and shook his head. "Junjun is very cute."

Of course.

Grandma Xu held Junjun close. "We'll be on our way then."

Not waiting for Fu Hanjiang to say anything else, she turned and left.

As she walked away, she whispered to Junjun.

"Where did you meet that uncle?"

"At the hospital."

"Oh dear."

Grandma Xu sighed inwardly, realizing they were fellow patients. She then cautioned Junjun, "Next time, don't run off without telling Grandma Xu, okay? It might hurt your tummy."

"Okay."

Junjun leaned on Grandma Xu's shoulder. "Grandma Xu, what about the missing Minnie? Aren't we going to find it?"

"If we can't find it, it's okay." Grandma Xu coaxed her. "I'll buy you a new one next time we go to the store, okay?"

"Okay." Junjun thought for a moment and agreed it was fine.

Suddenly, she seemed to remember something, lifted her head quickly, and waved her little arm in Fu Hanjiang's direction. "Bye-bye, uncle!"

Fu Hanjiang, still standing there, couldn't help but smile. "Bye-bye."

Grandma Xu pulled her along, amused and exasperated. "This child, you don't even know that uncle's last name, and you're already so affectionate! Let's go!"

With that, she quickened her pace.

Fu Hanjiang chuckled to himself and headed toward the parking lot.

"You're back?" Sheng Xiangsi opened the car door for him. "That was quick."

"Yes, the pharmacy had everything ready."

Getting into the car, Fu Hanjiang placed the medicine bag on the back seat and started the car.

Sheng Xiangsi noticed he seemed in a particularly good mood for just picking up some medicine. Had something nice happened?

She was curious but didn't ask, as it wasn't something she absolutely needed to know.

Leaving the hospital, they made another stop at TeeMall, again for Fu Mingzhu.

The old lady had a necklace that needed repairing, and Fu Hanjiang was to pick it up and bring it back to her.

Fu Hanjiang looked at Sheng Xiangsi. "Want to come along? You might see something you like."

"No, thanks."

Sheng Xiangsi declined, feeling that the watch on her wrist was already too precious. She didn't want to accept more gifts from him.

She waved her hand. "You go on. I'll wait here."

"You really aren't greedy."

Fu Hanjiang teased, gently tapping her nose. Most women loved jewelry and accessories, but Xiangsi wasn't like that.

Not wanting to keep her waiting, Fu Hanjiang hurried inside.

Like at the pharmacy, he just needed to collect the item and leave. But as he was exiting, he stopped suddenly.

Turning back, he approached the clerk.

"Do you have any hairpins for little girls here?"

The clerk was puzzled. "Mr. Fu, what kind do you need?"

"Well," Fu Hanjiang thought for a moment, "maybe something with a Minnie Mouse design?"

Hearing this, the clerk smiled. "We do have a designer collaboration piece with that design."

She retrieved a pair of hairpins from the display case. "Is this what you're looking for?"

Indeed, they featured Minnie Mouse, each adorned with small white diamonds and a red bow. They were exquisite.

Fu Hanjiang smiled, imagining how cute Junjun would look wearing them. He was sure she would love them.

"Alright."

He nodded. "No need to wrap them. I'll take them as they are."

"Okay, Mr. Fu."

The clerk closed the box and handed it to him. Fu Hanjiang put it in his bag and left the store.

Back in the car, Sheng Xiangsi was leaning back, yawning with tears in her eyes.

"Got bored waiting?"

Fu Hanjiang leaned over and kissed her on the lips. "Sorry, that's all for errands. Let's go."

"Okay."

...

At the Fu residence.

The entire Fu household was bustling with preparations for Fu Hanchuan's wedding.

As soon as Fu Hanjiang arrived, Fu Mingzhu roped him into helping, dragging Sheng Xiangsi along as well.

However, the main characters, Yao Leyi and Fu Hanchuan, were nowhere to be seen.

Fu Hanjiang asked offhandedly, "Where are they?"

"They're..."

"Right here."

Speak of the devil.

Yao Leyi descended the stairs with Fu Hanchuan, smiling brightly. She gave Fu Hanjiang a playful look. "Is Second Master feeling grumpy? Tired from helping out?"

"Not at all."

Fu Hanjiang smiled. "For big brother and sister-in-law, it's my duty."

"That's more like it."

Fu Hanjiang glanced at Fu Hanchuan. "Big brother, are you heading out?"

"Yes," Fu Hanchuan nodded slightly.

"Here's the thing," Yao Leyi explained with a smile. "I held a wedding dress design contest recently."

"Any results?"

"There's a design I really like, so we're going to meet the designer."

Yao Leyi looked up at Fu Hanchuan, half holding, half supporting him. "Even though I'll be the one wearing it, Hanchuan is the groom. His opinion matters too, so we're going together."

Since their wedding was decided, she seemed to be floating in a sea of happiness.

That overwhelming sense of joy was palpable, even to Sheng Xiangsi, who didn't usually concern herself with such things.

Suddenly, Yao Leyi's gaze fell on Sheng Xiangsi's left wrist, and her eyes narrowed slightly.

But it was only for a moment. She quickly looked away. "Hanchuan, let's go."

"Alright."

Watching their affectionate figures, Sheng Xiangsi remembered that Bai Ran had also submitted a wedding dress design. She wondered about the result.

Bai Ran hadn't mentioned it, so she probably wasn't selected.

...

Chen Zhong drove Fu Hanchuan and Yao Leyi to their appointment.

Yao Leyi half-held, half-supported him. "Hanchuan, take it slow."

"It's okay." Fu Hanchuan smiled gently. "I can manage on my own now. Don't worry."

"I know, but I still like to fuss over you."

They arrived at the private room.

A server opened the door for them. "Mr. Fu, your guests have arrived."
