"In the direction of point B, there's an exploding tag trap."

**********

"Copy that."

"There are also three rogue ninjas guarding the room where the target is. I'll control them, and Ino is in charge of finishing them off."

**********

Outside a manor, the Ino–Shika–Chō trio communicated via radio earpieces.

A strategy was quickly decided upon between the three.

By extending the [Shadow Possession Jutsu] from the yard's pole, Shikamaru easily controlled the unsuspecting rogue ninjas.

Ino rushed up swiftly, wielding her newly acquired Thunder God Sword, and casually swung it, stunning the enemy with electricity.

Just like that, the fight was over.

"Well done, Ino. Your physical skills have improved significantly," Colt's voice suddenly appeared behind her.

Ino turned with a smile and gave him a hug.

While she did get faster and stronger than before, it was still thanks to the sword that she found the missions easier now.

"It's just easy to use the Thunder God Sword that you gave me. I'm now the main attacker of the team, hehe."

Shikamaru reluctantly came over and untied the rope on the hostage they were tasked to save.

He wondered why he always ended up doing the least exciting task on every mission.

Also, Ino's fighting style had changed drastically.

She was supposed to be a ninja specializing in perception and control techniques.

'So, what's the deal with rushing in with a sword head first?'

In fact, Colt also had a headache about this.

Tsunade didn't retrieve the Thunder God Sword and gave it to him, and it was useless to hold it in his hand, so he simply handed it over to Ino to add some attack power to her rather empty arsenal.

However, when she got the Thunder God Sword, Ino liked it so much that she didn't even use her family's secret technique now. Whenever there was a chance, she would rush to strike with her sword.

As for why Colt was accompanying the Ino–Shika–Chō trio on missions? It wasn't because of any shortage of Konoha's manpower or something like that.

He had just originally planned to go flower-viewing with Ino today, but one thing led to the other and it turned into a joint mission somehow.

On the way back to the village, Asuma looked at Ino and Colt, whose hands were locked, with a complicated expression.

Why was his love experience so smooth, and it was so difficult for him?

'Sigh'

Recently, Kurenai had even started to ignore him, saying that she wasn't interested in anything to do with him.

A gust of wind blew, and Asuma felt something land on his head. He stretched out his hand to grab it, and a few leaves appeared in his hand.

"Colt-san! Hokage-sama requests your immediate presence at the Hokage building!" An ANBU appeared in front of them just as Colt and Ino were separating from Shikamaru and the others, planning to get something delicious to eat.

Colt frowned slightly.

The ANBU's tone was urgent; it seemed that something serious had happened.

He looked at Ino apologetically.

"It looks like I'll have to accompany you another time."

Ino nodded and after a brief hug, she started going running after her teammates.

"See you later, Colt"

She could be eccentric, but she wasn't ignorant.

Watching her retreating back, Colt smiled and then said to the ANBU.

"I'll go ahead first."

With that, he instantly disappeared from the ANBU's sight.

In the Hokage's Office, Tsunade smashed the desk in front of her with a punch, scattering the documents on it across the floor.

"Does the Hidden Cloud Village really think Konoha can be bullied so easily?!" A powerful aura swept through her body, her blonde hair fluttering in the air.

At that moment, Colt appeared in the office instantly.

Looking at the mess on the floor, he asked Shizune in a low voice.

"Is it that day of the month?"

Shizune quietly shook her head, but she hid a small laugh beneath her hand.

"You two, this is not the time for this" If it was in the past, Tsunade would still chat with Colt and joke around before reaching the point, but the news she had got, just had her in a foul mood.

"What's the matter?" This was the first time Colt had seen Tsunade so angry and serious.

"The Cloud shinobis have been carrying out missions across the Fire Country border, provoking our patrolling ninjas. Just yesterday, another clash broke out as usual. But this time two special Jōnin were killed, and a genin named Kosuke Maruboshi was also seriously injured."

She had still been explaining but at the mention of the genin…

*BOOM!*

The floor under Colt's feet sank a bit with a bang. Dense cracks spread all around them.

Shizune looked at all this with a wry smile.

After today, the entire Hokage office would need some renovation.

"Give me the relevant information. I'll head over immediately."

Kosuke Maruboshi was Colt's first teacher in a true sense, and he was grateful for his unreserved teaching.

Now these Cloud shinobis had actually wounded him.

And from listening to Tsunade's tone, it was likely not an ordinary minor injury.

Colt was furious and couldn't wait to rush to the border immediately.

"Wait a minute, I'll assign you an ANBU team." Tsunade started to say but before she could finish, Colt interrupted her.

"No, they're too slow. Just tell me what I need."

His Sharingan activated quietly out of anger.

He wasn't directing that anger at her though, but he was simply asking Tsunade for permission to go berserk.

"Go ahead! As long as you can handle it, beat those Cloud shinobis and bring them to me!"

Although she was new to the post, Tsunade was far more decisive than the Third Hokage, she was a true tough leader.

"However, you still need to be careful. Your future is definitely worth more than this. Don't act solely on impulse..."

In the future, Colt would undoubtedly become an existence comparable to Senju Hashirama, but he was still young and had only been learning the Wood Style for a month or two.

As Tsunade spoke, her voice kept dropping, and she thought of Nawaki again. She was almost tempted to not let him go…

Seeing Tsunade's concern and the sudden wave of sadness that hit her, Colt felt warmth in his heart.

He stepped forward, hugged the suddenly vulnerable Tsunade, and said softly.

"Don't worry. Although I haven't mastered the Wood Style yet, another power of mine is almost at that level."

After saying that, he took the information scroll from Shizune's hands and started walking out.

"Be careful," Tsunade said with a laugh after she recovered, surprised to be comforted by someone so much younger than her.

Colt was gone. At his speed, he could reach his destination in two hours.

After thinking for a moment, Tsunade called for the ANBU who had been looking for Colt earlier.

"Neko, rush to the border with the sixth squad. If Colt encounters any danger, protect him even at the cost of your lives."

"Roger, Hokage-sama!"

After arranging everything, Tsunade's face suddenly showed shock as she recalled what Colt had just said.

'Another power almost on that level?'

At the Root base, a Root ninja stood before Danzō.

"Danzo-sama, Kamiyo Colt is already traveling to the border of the Land of Lightning, and the Fifth Hokage has dispatched the sixth ANBU squad to follow after him."

Danzō nodded.

"What about our people?"

"They've arrived at the designated location. If Kamiyo Colt is heading to the border, he'll definitely pass through there."

Danzō wasn't at all surprised by Colt's actions.

After all, he had also gotten involved in Kosuke's situation, but it deviated slightly from the plan.

Originally, he wanted to use the Cloud shinobis to get rid of that old guy.

Who would have thought that they would actually let him run away?

But this time, Danzō's eyes gradually sharpened. He decided to let the Root operatives handle it themselves.
