Jake's POV
The funeral service of Alpha James was a gloomy one. His pack members trooped in, some blamed me for his death, some blamed Doom.They said all sorts of things but they were right. I was to be blamed had it been I didn't choose James to join my entourage he will still be alive.
The sad fact is that he didn't have a Luna nor an offspring to carry on. His mate came around, she looked disheartened. I offered my condolences to her his Beta was to take charge and he was going to become the new Alpha.
"I owe you one." I whispered.
I watched James' photo album for the last time before heading out with Steel and Scott.
"Alpha" Steel called me while driving.
We were on our way back to the pack.
"I'm good, I'm just thinking of the cruel things to do to the Doom when I lay my hands on him." My eyes were shut.
"The other Alpha are suspecting you,they think you might be the Doom." Scott chipped in.
