The young nurse nodded hurriedly, scared out of her wits, "No... No worries..."
Feeling a bit nervous, she moved to find a vein on Qian Sisi's arm to insert the needle, but Bai Cheng'an tenderly reached out to cover the little woman's eyes. Qian Sisi, however, was not one to stay still; her eyelashes fluttered against the palm of Bai Cheng'an's hand, causing him to shake his head in helpless indulgence. Out of options, he could only threaten her, "Don't move!"
Just as the nurse had aimed at the vein, Bai Cheng'an's voice startled her, almost causing the needle to miss its mark entirely. She looked up to find Bai Cheng'an's gaze dangerously intense, as if a demonic hand had clamped around her throat, restricting her to breathe only the slightest breaths. She quickly repositioned the needle towards Qian Sisi's vein.
