"My daughter is back..." Miao Peiqin muttered to herself in wonder.
The others looked out the window and, sure enough, saw Qian Sisi, who was hand in hand with a young man. The aunties were quite excited and asked Miao Peiqin, "Who is the one with Sisi? Her boyfriend?"
Miao Peiqin initially wanted to say he was her son-in-law but then thought better of it—Qian Sisi was still in college after all. If these gossip-loving aunties found out she was married, it would surely spread to the school soon enough.
She nodded, "Yes, Sisi's boyfriend."
Upon hearing this, the aunties unanimously said, "Call them in. We've watched Sisi grow up; we want to help check out her boyfriend too..."
Miao Peiqin couldn't put them off any longer, so she called out the window, "Cheng'an, Sisi, come in for a moment!"
