Qian Sisi worriedly comforted Erhu and Bai Cheng'an, but the crying made her increasingly panicked. She turned her head and scolded, "Stop crying! They're definitely all right!"
Strangely enough, despite her baby-like face and lack of any authority, such a simple sentence managed to quiet the group of rowdy youths, who didn't dare to cry anymore.
Qian Sisi had just settled the children behind her when she saw the water surface suddenly become agitated; Bai Cheng'an emerged, dragging the exhausted Erhu with him.
In the instant she saw them, Qian Sisi felt a sourness at the tip of her nose and almost burst into tears.
Once Bai Cheng'an gritted his teeth and dragged Erhu over, Qian Sisi hurried to help.
Finally, they safely laid Erhu on the riverbank, pressed the water out of his chest, and removed him from danger. Bai Cheng'an then tiredly flopped onto the grass, lying flat and gasping for air with his eyes half-closed.
