////Ruins////
Miguel followed Toriel through the winding passages of the RUINS, feeling a mix of gratitude and apprehension.
The underground world was unlike anything he had ever imagined. Despite the initial terror with Flowey, he felt a strange sense of wonder as he explored the ancient, labyrinthine structures around him.
"Stay close to me," Toriel said gently. "The RUINS can be dangerous for those who are not prepared."
They passed through several rooms filled with puzzles and traps. Toriel explained each one patiently, showing Miguel how to solve them. He was amazed at how seamlessly she navigated the challenges, and he found himself growing more comfortable in her presence.
"Why are you helping me?" Miguel asked as they paused in front of a particularly complex puzzle.
Toriel looked at him with soft, caring eyes. "All who fall into the UNDERGROUND are like my children. It is my duty to protect and guide them."
Miguel nodded, feeling a warmth in her words. They continued onward, eventually arriving at a cozy little home nestled in the heart of the RUINS.
Toriel led him inside, where the smell of freshly baked pie filled the air.
"Welcome to your new home," Toriel said, smiling. "I have prepared a room for you. Please make yourself comfortable."
Miguel looked around, taking in the warm, inviting atmosphere. It was a stark contrast to the cold, foreboding caverns he had traversed.
He found his room and was touched by the care and thought that had gone into it.
"Thank you, Toriel," he said earnestly. "This means a lot to me."
"You are very welcome," she replied. "Now, why don't you rest for a while? I will call you when dinner is ready."
Miguel nodded and lay down on the soft bed. As he stared at the ceiling, he couldn't help but think about the stories he had heard about this place. It was supposed to be filled with dangerous monsters, yet here he was, being taken care of by one.
After a short rest, Miguel was awakened by Toriel's gentle voice calling him for dinner. He joined her at the table, where she served him a slice of butterscotch-cinnamon pie. The warmth and sweetness of the pie filled him with a sense of home he hadn't felt in a long time.
As they ate, Toriel spoke of the history of the UNDERGROUND, explaining how the monsters were sealed away by humans long ago. Miguel listened intently, feeling a deepening respect for her and her kind.
After dinner, Toriel led him to a small library filled with books. "There is much to learn about our world," she said. "Feel free to read as much as you like."
Miguel spent the evening engrossed in the books, learning about the different types of monsters, their history, and the magical properties of the UNDERGROUND.
He felt a growing sense of connection to this strange new world.
Before he went to bed, Toriel approached him with a serious expression. "Miguel, I must warn you. Beyond this home, there are dangers you are not yet prepared to face. I urge you to stay here, where it is safe."
Miguel looked at her, conflicted. He appreciated her concern, but he knew he couldn't stay hidden forever. "I understand, Toriel. But I can't stay here forever. I need to find a way back home."
Toriel sighed, her expression filled with sadness. "I knew you would say that. Just promise me you will be careful, my child."
"I promise," Miguel said, determination in his eyes.
The next morning, Miguel woke up early, ready to continue his journey. He packed some supplies Toriel had given him and prepared to leave the safety of the RUINS.
Toriel stood at the doorway, a look of both pride and worry on her face.
"Remember, you are always welcome here," she said, hugging him tightly.
"Thank you, Toriel. For everything," Miguel replied, hugging her back.
"Oh and before I forget, there's currently another human like yourself in the underground" she told him.
"Wait really!" He replied surprised.
With a heavy heart, Miguel stepped out of Toriel's home and into the unknown, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
As he ventured deeper into the UNDERGROUND, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and resolve. He was determined to prove himself, to find his way home, and to uncover the mysteries of this hidden world.
////10 Minutes Later////
Miguel arrives at a large door, its surface covered in intricate carvings that seem to tell a story. The air around it feels charged with an ancient energy. He pauses for a moment, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves.
He moves forward and pushes the door, opening it and leaving the ruins behind.
////Snowdin////
Miguel's breath hung in the frosty air as he stepped into the vast expanse of Snowdin, the blanket of snow muffling his every footstep. The tranquil beauty of the wintry landscape filled him with a sense of wonder, a stark contrast to the dark and foreboding depths of the RUINS he had traversed.
With each cautious step, he felt a mixture of excitement and trepidation, unsure of what lay ahead in this new, unfamiliar territory. His eyes darted around, taking in the towering pine trees and the soft glow of distant lights from the town ahead.
As he ventured deeper into the snow-covered forest, a rustle from the nearby bushes snapped him out of his reverie. Miguel's heart raced as he tensed, ready to face whatever awaited him.
From the bushes emerged a figure clad in a blue hoodie, a wide grin plastered across their skeletal face. "Heya," the figure said in a surprisingly casual tone. "You lost, buddy?"
Miguel's initial apprehension melted away at the sight of the friendly stranger. "Uh, no, not lost. Just...new here."
The skeleton chuckled. "Name's Sans. Sans the Skeleton. And you are?"
"Miguel," he replied, offering a hesitant smile.
Sans nodded. "Well, Miguel, welcome to Snowdin. It's a chill place, literally and figuratively. Come on, I'll show you around."
As Miguel followed Sans down the snowy path, he noticed another figure up ahead, a child with short brown hair and a striped sweater, their gaze fixed on the world around them with an air of quiet curiosity.
Sans noticed Miguel's gaze and called out, "Hey, Frisk! Found another one of your kind."
Frisk turned around, their warm smile instantly putting Miguel at ease. "Hi! I'm Frisk."
Miguel felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Hi, I'm Miguel. Nice to meet you."
Frisk's eyes twinkled with understanding. "Nice to meet you too, Miguel. This place can be a bit overwhelming at first, but you'll get used to it."
Miguel nodded, grateful for their reassurance. "Thanks, Frisk. It's good to have someone to show me the ropes."
Frisk grinned. "No problem. I remember how confusing it was when I first got here. Come on, let's head to Grillby's. It's the best place in town."
Sans chuckled. "Can't argue with that. Grillby makes a mean burger."
As they made their way to Grillby's, Sans and Frisk filled Miguel in on life in Snowdin, sharing stories of their own adventures and the friends they had made along the way. The journey was filled with laughter and camaraderie, and by the time they reached the pub, Miguel felt like he had known them for years.
Inside, the warm glow of the fire and the smell of sizzling food enveloped them, and Miguel couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging as he settled into a seat at the bar.
Grillby, the bartender, nodded in greeting as they approached. "What can I get for you folks?"
Sans grinned. "Three burgers, extra cheese."
Grillby nodded and set to work, his flames dancing as he cooked up their meal.
As they ate, Miguel found himself opening up more to Sans and Frisk, sharing stories of his own life and the reasons he had ended up in the UNDERGROUND. With each passing moment, he felt more at ease in their presence, grateful for the friendship they had offered him.
Later that evening, Sans and Frisk took Miguel to Papyrus's house, where they were greeted with open arms and boundless enthusiasm.
Papyrus beamed at their arrival. "Welcome, friends! Please, come in and make yourselves at home. I've got spaghetti cooking on the stove!"
As the night wore on, Miguel found himself feeling more at home in this strange, underground world. He thanked Sans, Frisk, and Papyrus for their hospitality and made his way to the small inn in the center of Snowdin for a good night's rest.
As he lay in bed, Miguel thought about the journey ahead. He knew there were challenges to face and mysteries to unravel, but with the friends he had made by his side, he felt ready to take on whatever the UNDERGROUND had in store for him.
