As soon as William boarded the plane, he followed the flight attendant's guidance and immediately lay down on the sofa to sleep. He wasn't interested in the flight attendant on this flight; she wasn't his type. Ignoring her disappointed look, William drifted off to sleep.
After an eight-hour flight, the plane landed at Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. Once off the plane, William turned on his phone and checked the message from Barney, then called for a taxi.
"To the Ocean Club Hotel."
"Sure, sir," the taxi driver replied.
Upon arriving at the hotel, William walked into the lobby and immediately spotted Barney and Christmas waiting for him.
As soon as they saw William, Barney and Christmas approached and greeted him quietly, "Good afternoon, boss."
"Hello, Barney. Hello, Christmas. Where is Alex Demetrios now?" William asked.
"Alex Demetrios and his wife have rented a villa by the beach. Yin Yang and the others are watching them there," Barney replied.
William nodded, "Keep watch in shifts during the day and rest when you can. We might have some action tonight."
"Understood, boss."
After parting with Barney and Christmas, William approached the hotel front desk, where a beautiful blonde was seated. He smiled and said, "Hi, I'd like to book a room."
The blonde, noticing the handsome young man in front of her, smiled back and asked, "Do you have a reservation?"
William smiled and replied, "No, this was a spur-of-the-moment decision. It's a spontaneous trip; I didn't even bring any luggage, just my wallet and phone."
The receptionist checked her computer and said, "We only have ocean view rooms available right now. Will that be okay?"
"Perfect," William responded, showing off as he handed her a black Bank of England card.
After completing the check-in process, the receptionist returned the card to William with a playful gesture, brushing her finger against his palm. She giggled, "Sir, I'm off work in three hours. Perhaps you might need a guide to show you around the beautiful sights of the Bahamas?"
William caught on quickly and replied, "Sure, I'll let you know if I need anything."
"Absolutely, sir. You can come to me for anything at all. Here's my card." She handed him her business card and winked at him.
"Got it. I'll remember that. Goodbye."
"Goodbye, sir. I'll be waiting for your call."
The weather in the Bahamas was wonderful, a pleasant change for William who was wearing a down jacket yesterday and now only needed a shirt and shorts. Feeling good, William took his room key and stepped outside the hotel. He noticed two women in sports tops and skirts with tennis rackets walking past. One of them glanced back at William, recognized his handsome features, and smiled.
"Isn't that Alessandra Ambrosio, the Victoria's Secret model?" William thought, following the two women to the hotel's tennis court. He sat down in the resting area and ordered a fruit juice.
Watching the two women play tennis was indeed a delightful sight. William soon confirmed that the woman was indeed Alessandra Ambrosio, looking even more beautiful and vibrant than she did in his past life. She exuded youthful energy, possibly because she was only twenty years old at the moment.
After a short while, Alessandra gestured to her companion to pause and, looking somewhat annoyed, walked towards William.
Realizing he had been caught staring, William pretended to focus on his juice, turning his head away to avoid eye contact.
"Hey, Mr. Devonshire, over here," Alessandra called out, waving at him.
Caught, William had no choice but to turn and look at her with an innocent expression.
"Mr. Devonshire, I noticed you were watching me. It's quite rude to stare at people like that," Alessandra scolded him, clearly upset.
Seeing that he couldn't avoid the situation, William stood up and flashed a smile he thought was charming, "I'm very sorry. I shouldn't have stared at you. But I was just admiring the beautiful people in this beautiful place. Miss, I didn't mean to offend you. My eyes just can't help but be drawn to beautiful things, even though I know it's not right. I was just mesmerized by you."
Alessandra, amused by his flattery, burst into laughter, "Mr. Devonshire, you sure know how to talk. But that doesn't excuse your rudeness. Alright, since you didn't come over and bother me, I'll accept your apology for now."
"Thank you. May I invite you to sit down?" William asked, pulling out a chair for her.
After she sat down, William signaled a waiter and asked Alessandra what she would like to drink.
"A mango juice, please. Thank you," she said to the waiter, then turned to William, "Mr. Devonshire, aren't you supposed to be in England? What brings you to the Bahamas? I just saw you on TV yesterday, doing that amazing archery performance. When I saw you at the hotel entrance, I thought it was you. Mr. Devonshire, your archery skills are so cool. My agent nearly had a heart attack watching it."
William watched Alessandra, who was smiling so broadly her teeth were showing, and thought to himself how beautiful she was at twenty, with a youthful vibe so different from the confident and mature woman she would become.
"Mr. Devonshire, may I call you William?"
"Of course. But it's not fair that you know my name while I don't know yours, beautiful lady," William responded with a smile.
"Hehe, William, I'm not going to tell you. But you can guess. If you guess right, I might let you take me out for dinner," Alessandra said playfully.
"Oh, you're making it hard for me to take you out to dinner. But since you want me to guess, you must be someone famous. How could I not have heard of such a beautiful lady?"
William pretended to think hard, scratching his chin for a moment. When Alessandra started to look impatient, he suddenly exclaimed, "Aha! I remember now. I wondered why you looked so familiar. I saw you in ELLE magazine. You're Alessandra Ambrosio, aren't you?"
Alessandra, realizing she had been tricked, pouted, "William, you're a bad guy. You knew who I was all along and just wanted to mess with me. William, you're so sneaky. I can't believe I fell for it. I'm mad at you now."
William laughed out loud at her adorable frustration, which only made Alessandra more upset. She playfully hit his shoulder before sitting down opposite him, pouting.
