As the sun beat down on the landscape, Minor curled up in a ball, his eyes drifting shut as he let out a soft snore. Ethan watched him for a moment, then slipped out of the cave, making his way to the brook that flowed nearby.
He found Ann sitting on a rock by the water's edge, her eyes gazing out at the gentle current. Ethan sat down beside her, his eyes taking in the peaceful scene.
"Hey," he said softly, not wanting to startle her.
Ann turned to him, a small smile playing on her lips. "Hey."
Ethan hesitated, unsure of how to bring up what was on his mind. But he knew he had to talk to her about it.
"Minor found your phone," he said, his voice low and serious.
Ann's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"
Ethan glanced around cautiously before leaning in closer. "He found it and started going through it. I don't think he meant to snoop, but...he's curious about your life back home."
