Minor crept back into the cave, his small sword at his side. He had been searching for Ann, but she was nowhere to be found. As he made his way deeper into the darkness, he noticed that the cave seemed eerily quiet.
Suddenly, he heard a faint cry for help. Minor's heart skipped a beat as he realized that it was Ann's voice. He followed the sound, his sword at the ready.
As he turned a corner, he saw Ann being dragged away by a group of pirates. Her eyes were wide with fear as she struggled against her captors.
Minor's anger and determination surged through him. He knew he had to act fast to rescue her.
The pirates, unaware of Minor's presence, were making their way towards the cave entrance. Minor knew that if he didn't act quickly, they would escape with Ann.
He took a deep breath, steeled himself, and charged towards the pirates
Minor found Ethan lying unconscious in the woods, his small sword still clutched in his hand. Minor's heart sank as he knelt beside his friend, feeling for a pulse. It was weak, but it was there. He gently turned Ethan's head to one side and began to examine his wound.
As he did, Minor heard the distant sound of oars dipping into the water and the creaking of the ship's hull. He knew that the pirates had taken Ann on board, and he had to act fast if he was going to rescue her.
Minor quickly checked Ethan's wound and decided that it wasn't life-threatening. He gently lifted Ethan onto his back and began to make his way towards the coast, hoping to find a way to get onto the pirate ship.
As they neared the shore, Minor saw the pirate ship anchored offshore, its black sails billowing in the wind. He could see Ann standing on deck, her eyes fixed on the shore as if she was searching for something - or someone.
Minor knew he had to come up with a plan quickly. He gently set Ethan down behind a nearby bush and crept closer to the water's edge, trying to come up with a way to get onto the ship without being seen
Minor gently carried Ethan back to the cave, trying to make as little noise as possible. He knew that the pirates could still be nearby, and he didn't want to alert them to their presence.
Once they were safely inside the cave, Minor set Ethan down on the rocky floor. He quickly rummaged through their supplies, looking for anything that could help him come up with a plan to rescue Ann.
Ethan groggily opened his eyes, taking in his surroundings. "W-what... what happened?" he mumbled.
Minor explained what had happened, and Ethan's eyes widened in alarm. "We have to get her back!" he exclaimed.
Minor nodded vigorously. "I know. But we need a plan. We can't just charge onto the ship without thinking it through."
Ethan struggled to sit up, wincing in pain from his wound. Minor helped him into a more comfortable position, then pulled out a small pouch of herbs from their supplies.
"These might help with your wound," Minor said, sprinkling some of the herbs onto the cut.
Ethan winced as he touched the herbs, but soon his eyes cleared and he nodded in gratitude. "Thanks, Minor. I think I'll be okay."
Minor nodded, feeling a sense of relief. "Good. Now let's think about how we're going to get Ann back."
The two friends sat in silence for a moment, thinking through their options. Then Ethan's eyes lit up with an idea.
"I know how we can get onto the ship," he said, his voice filled with excitement.
Minor leaned in, eager to hear the plan. "How?"
"We can use the small boat we found earlier," Ethan said. "It's not much good for fighting, but it's fast and quiet. We can sneak up on the ship and try to grab Ann before they notice us."
Minor's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. It was a good plan, but it would be risky. They would have to time it just right and be prepared for anything.
"I like it," Minor said finally. "But we'll need to be careful. If we get caught, we're in trouble."
Ethan nodded grimly. "We know the risks. But we have to try."
Minor nodded, determination etched on his face. "Alright then. Let's get moving."
With a newfound sense of purpose, the two friends set off towards the coast, ready to face whatever lay ahead in their quest to rescue Ann
