The entire morning, Kai and Liam's real estate agent, Erin, had taken them to different homes in the market that fit into their budget. Liam wasn't picky—and of the homes would be suitable—but Kai protested each and every one. Since none of them were as nice as their parents' house, he was frustrated.
At last, they were on their way to the final house they planned to visit that day. Kai didn't have very high expectations for it. "This one is gonna suck, too," he whined.
"Kai, we just need to pick one," Liam suggested.
"It's going to be our forever home, we certainly can't just pick one for the hell of it," Kai scoffed in response.
"Try to remember the housing market is bad," Liam commented. "Money doesn't go as far as it used to."
"I know," Kai frowned and looked out the car window, watching the scenery they drove past. "But it's sad. We should be able to afford something better. Fluffy deserves it."
