Time continued to pass - Mika's baby was over a year old and Michael entered the 1st grade. For Kai, he continued to work weekends at the nursing home while Liam had officially finished his residency program and landed a new job, which be was scheduled to start in just a week's time.
"Kai, when is the party?" Nancy asked as she finished the ADL charing. "I'm invited, right?"
"Of course," Kai replied. "It's planned at Liam's mom's house on Wednesday. I'll message you the address."
"What kind of gift would he like?"
"You don't need to get him anything," Kai replied. "He'd just be happy to see you."
Kai finished his charting then turned around in the office chair to look at the woman. "How's your grandkid?"
