"Oh, my god. Are you wearing a ring?"
Nancy stood at the nurse's station, looking down at Kai's hand. She grabbed his wrist, holding his hand up to get a better view.
"That's a weird engagement ring," Nancy said.
"It's a smart ring," Kai smiled.
"So, it's not an engagement ring?"
"Sort of."
"Sort of?"
"I mean," Kai took a deep breath. "I am engaged."
"Kai!" Nancy nearly screamed. "I can't believe it. That's so cute. Congratulations!"
"T-Thanks."
"What kind of ring is that?"
"It's a smart ring," Kai chuckled. "It tracks steps, sleep, and stuff like that."
"That's so cool, but that's a weird engagement ring."
Kai shrugged. "I like it."
Liam walked up, taking a seat in an empty chair. He frowned. "Kai, have you called Jayden yet?"
"No."
"We need to call her."
Nancy raised her brow, then looked at Liam's hand, noticing the man wore a matching ring. "Oh my god, you have one, too."
