The sound of a phone ringing stirred Liam awake. It was the familiar, heavy metal song from his partner's phone.
"Ugh, you still haven't changed your ringtone," he muttered, as he looked at Kai.
"And somehow you're drooling on your pillow."
The phone continued to ring as Liam waited for Kai to wake up and answer it. He didn't. He slept through the ear-piercing melody.
"Kai," Liam said as he poked the blonde's forehead.
The phone kept ringing. Eventually, it stopped, but relief was short-lived, because, around twenty seconds later, it began to ring again.
Liam decided to leave the bedroom. He shut the door and sighed. Kai really could sleep through anything.
A while later, his phone began to ring. He saw it was Mika, making him realize she was probably trying to get in touch with Kai. He answered it and walked back into the bedroom, flopping onto the bed next to his partner.
It was, indeed, for Kai.
