Mika, Michael, and Kai made their way to the local animal shelter. When the blonde had mentioned to his nephew the plan to adopt a kitten, the young boy became overwhelmed with excitement. He sat in the backseat, making small meow noises.
"Meow!" Michael yelled out excitedly. "Mew, mew, Meow, Meow!"
"Mike, chill out," Mika giggled.
"Can we get a kitten, mommy?" He asked, a pleading look in his eyes.
"I don't think Grandma would like it if we got a cat," Mika sighed.
"But do you want a kitty?" He asked her.
"Maybe if we see a cute one," Mika said.
"Yay, we're all getting kittens!" Michael cheered.
"Hold your horses," Mika sighed. "We might not get one today."
"Aww," Michael whined. "At least I can play with Uncle Kai's kitten."
"Should we stop by the pet store first?" Kai asked.
