Chapter 10 - Episode 10. Uncontrolled emotion

"Also, if you want to talk to me, change your condescending tone. I tolerated you before because you are Cheng Zhou's friend. Now you need to figure out what's going on."

Zhou Ji'an recalled the various times she was ostracized and humiliated by his friends.

She lowers her eyes and looks at the stumbling person downstairs indifferently. "There is no possibility of reconciliation between him and me. Please tell him when he is sober."

He is stunned when he rarely sees Zhou Ji'an being so tough. The last sentence makes him hear the determination in her tone.

The idea of revealing the hidden truth at that time comes up again, hanging in his heart, and could not be dispersed for a long time.

Seeing that he has lost his ability to speak before the battle even starts, Zhou Ji'an ends the topic without a sense of accomplishment: "Hang up."

Fan Si puts down the phone only after hearing the beep and gives up the idea.

Since Cheng Zhou asked him not to tell Zhou Ji'an about those things, there must be a reason for it. If he really said it, he couldn't help but shudder at the thought of the consequences.

Zhou Ji'an sees that Cheng Zhou is no longer downstairs and wonders if he has gone upstairs. She is worried that he would disturb the neighbors and get scolded, but she couldn't see anyone through the peephole.

She opens the door carefully, and just as she opens a crack, she sees a hand suddenly appear on the door, which frightens her.

She wants to close the door reflexively, but suddenly lets it go and takes a big step back.

Cheng Zhou finally stands up with the help of the door, and just as he is about to walk inside, his legs soften, and he falls down again.

Zhou Ji'an sees him fluttering like a goose, knocking on the ground with a bang.

She frowns and stands there for a long time, as if she is troubled.

Seeing that Cheng Zhou is about to hit the sharp corner of the entrance, she steps forward to support him, silently saying in her heart: Just to avoid serious injuries.

But Cheng Zhou's height and weight are not something Zhou Ji'an could bear, and he almost brings her down: "Try harder."

Cheng Zhou shakes his head, still not clear. "Huh?"

After saying that, he falls into Zhou Ji'an's arms.

She pushes him away with some irritability. His head knocks on the floor with a thud, and then he doesn't move.

This scares Zhou Ji'an. She checks his forehead and he should have fainted.

After trying to lift him to the sofa many times without success, she gives up and lets him lie on the floor.

She covers him with a white quilt and stares at his familiar but bearded face for a while. Then she wakes up suddenly, lifts the remaining quilt to cover his head, and goes into the kitchen.

She opens the window in a restless mood, and a cool breeze blows in.

Her mind becomes much clearer. She convinces herself that it is because she has not woken up yet and they have not seen each other for almost two years.

When she comes to her senses, looking at the lemon honey water just made in the thermos, she knocks her head twice and sighs sarcastically: "Cheap."

While walking out of the kitchen door and drinking what she has just made, she happens to hear him talking in his sleep under the quilt: "An'an, I'm so stupid."

Zhou Ji'an pulls up the corner of her mouth and sneers: What's stupid about you? I'm stupid. When that happened, there was a moment when I thought that if you explained it to me well, I would forgive you. At that moment, I was so strange to myself.

Cheng Zhou suddenly yells, "An'an!" and then whispers softly like a mosquito, "I love you."

Say like loudly and say love quietly, Zhou Ji'an told him.

Zhou Ji'an's hand, holding the cup and her tightly closed lips, trembles violently.

From the breakup to when he said this, the hatred she has rarely felt seemed to suddenly burst out uncontrollably this time, so strong that she seemed to be swallowed by this emotion.

She knocks the cup on the table, making a crisp sound, and suddenly turns back to the room to lock the door. She lies on the bed, covering her head, and the whole person, like steamed shrimp, curls up without leaving a gap.

She closes her eyes, covers her ears with both hands, and mutters to herself as if forcing herself to calm down: "It will pass, it will be fine, don't be afraid."

As soon as the voice falls, the tears of grievance gush out uncontrollably. After a short while, it filles her left ear and flows all over the pillow.

She seems to have fallen into the abyss of the sea, and the pressure that is about to be unbearable forces her chest to emerge with a tearing pain.

Her mind is full of: Why? Why? Why did it become like this? You said you loved me? But what kind of love would be like this? This is not love at all.

While she is thinking about this, she reminds herself that Fan Si is coming and forces herself to finish crying quickly.

She looks at her phone and gives herself twenty minutes to deal with this uncontrolled emotion.

Her emotions slowly calm down after her tears almost soak her whole body. She is confused and cancels the timer that is about to start ringing in a few seconds.

She gets up from the bed and goes to the bathroom to wash her face with cold water.

She looks at herself with expressionless red eyes and seems to see through the mirror that she is covered with wounds and tattered.

Her emotions seem to be coming back again.

She clenches her teeth and blocks her eyes with a towel, as if this could stop the hot stream from gushing out.
