The Journey to the Land of Darkness
With the artifacts in hand, we set off on our journey to the land of darkness. The Council's words echoed in my mind, reminding me of the importance of our mission.
As we walked, the air grew thick with an eerie darkness. The trees seemed to twist and writhe, their branches reaching out like skeletal fingers. I could feel the weight of the prophecy settling over me, heavy and oppressive.
Riven walked beside me, his eyes fixed on the path ahead. His usual confidence and bravado seemed to have been tempered by the gravity of our mission.
We walked for hours, the silence between us growing thicker than the darkness. I could sense Riven's unease, and I knew that I had to say something to break the tension.
"Riven, do you remember what the Council said?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
He nodded, his eyes flicking towards me. "Yes, we have to help the warriors defeat the darkness."
I nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. "We can do this, Riven. We've come too far to turn back now."
He nodded, his face set in a determined expression. "You're right. Let's do this."
As we walked, the darkness began to take on a life of its own. Shadows seemed to move of their own accord, and I could feel eyes watching us from the trees.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the darkness. It was a woman, her face twisted with a mixture of sadness and anger. She held a sword in one hand, and her eyes seemed to bore into my soul.
"Who are you?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
The woman's eyes flashed with anger. "I am Eira, the warrior queen of this land. And you are...?"
I felt a sense of trepidation wash over me as I introduced ourselves. But Eira's eyes seemed to soften slightly as she looked at Riven.
"You are the chosen ones," she said. "The prophecy has spoken of your coming. We need your help to defeat the darkness."
And with that, our journey into the heart of darkness began.
What lay ahead for us now?
To be continued...
