Triiiiiin. The ringtone on Kei's night table broke the silence. Kei pressed the ringtone to turn that off. It was only 7 o' clock, so why did he have to wake up? The one who put the ringtone was probably his mom. She was very strict about some things. Kei, then, decided to go back to sleep. After more or less five minutes, a woman with brown hair kept in a bob suddenly opened the door. "What are you doing still on the bed?" Kei was perplexed. After all, he had a small feeling to have forgotten of something. But what was that? His mother, seeing her son's face, opened her eyes in surprise. What does she have to do with such a son? Then she asked "You haven't forgotten about your first day of school, have you?" Kei widened his eyes. So that's what he had forgotten. His mother was exasperated. She has heard of people who forget their glasses on their head, and other similar episodes, but she has never heard of somebody forgetting his first school day. Kei asked his mother to exit the room while he was choosing his clothes. He came out of the bed and opened his wardrobe. Kei wasn't very tall. It can be said that he was of average height. He had messy orange hair which covered his eyes. When he was young, his big brother had fun mocking him for his eyes, and, to do not feel anymore like those terrible days, he cutted his hair like that. Obviously, after this small change, his brother still kept having fun of him, but, almost a year later, their parents divorced, and Kei, differently from his brothers and sisters, went to live with his mother. It was quite obvious, though. His brothers were all geniuses, while he was normal. As you might guess, they weren't all geniuses in intelligence. There's no way that such a genius would bully his brother, even less saying things like "Your eyes stink". This sort of sentences ever left Kei surprised for his big brother's dumbness (and his own for believing him). Infact, it is said that his family is 'This century's top family', which means that, as for how some people think, they will stand at the top of their fields (quite ambiguous, right?). Anyway, it was time to leave, while I was explaining you this things about his family, time was passing and he was lost between his thoughts too. Well, luckily he was back to reality too. He ran to take the breakfast: the pullman would have arrived in ten minutes, but the stop was at ten minutes from his house too. He started to run while wearing his schoolbag and keeping a sandwich in his hand. While jumping into the bus, just in time, the sandwich fell on the bus' floor. Kei knew that he should have taken it, but he was also sure that he wouldn't have eaten it. He would have probably asked for something to his middle-school friend, and future classmate, Daisuke. And, when he almost took the sandwich, a hand interposed. 'How strange, 'till a moment ago there was nobody there'. "Three seconds rule!" exclaimed an eccentric boy with beige hair. He had a strange accent, probably from the UK. Kei couldn't avoid to make a disgusted face for that boy's action. He actually ate that sandwich! Then, the boy gave his hand to a reluctant Kei. That boy had putted the sandwich in his mouth not caring if the hand would end up in the mouth too, and the result was the fact that now there was saliva on that hand. Kei was getting more and more nauseated. The boy gave a look at Kei, and said "I should be worrying of the same thing too, you are lucky that I don't care". What? What was he saying? "Anyway, I'm Alex. And, yes, I am from London. Do you like challenging?" 'Ok, I keep liking this boy less and less. What is he talking about now?'. More or less an hour later, the two of them were sitting in class next to each other while fireworks were exploding on the school's pool.
