The announcement of the second name sparked an immediate commotion among the first-floor members.
"Syvis? She's not even in the top ten in the annual ranking; how did she manage to secure second place in this trial?" Someone questioned skeptically.
"Well, it's not all that surprising. Despite Syvis's average annual ranking, she excelled in light magic, which brought her a total advantage in this trial." Countered another member in defence of Syvis.
"Indeed," Added another, "Her specialty in light magic, coincidentally the most effective element against abyssal creatures, along with her expertise in support magic spells, seems to have put her team in a better shape than the others. That's likely why she earned the second spot."
