Chapter 26 - Clarity

As the mana flowed through Leroy's body, its course directed towards the wall that was blocking the rest of his mana, his body covered in sweat as he tried to keep the direction of the flow.

Finally, after a few minutes of what felt like pure torture on his mental capacities, Leroy's mana arrived at the wall.

*BOOM*

It felt like an explosion happened inside his body as shocks went through his entire body causing him to gasp in pain.

A split second later, tens of similar explosion sounds could be heard in Leroy's ears, only he could hear them as the mana started rampaging at the block that had appeared in its road.

Finally, the pain started to get too harrowing as Leroy had to drop to the ground while holding his chest, his breathing haggard as he couldn't even release a scream from the amount of pain that he was experiencing at the moment.

"Are you all right kid?" Gorkuis asked as he got closer to Leroy.

'It's started, the unlocking' Gorkuis thought as when he came closer to Leroy he could sense it much more clearly.

It was a sensation as if a black hole had spawned and the entire air was being sucked and then it stopped just for a few seconds.

"This, is the process finished?" Gorkuis thought out loud.

But he frowned a moment later

'No it's just getting started' He thought suddenly

And then it happened, the air itself seemed to start shaking as the process took place.

Wind started to surround Leroy's body as it started revolving around him almost as if a tornado was about to start.

*BOOM*

This time the explosion was heard by everyone, even the others on the other side of the plain where the tents were.

At Leroy's body, an explosion had happened that had even pushed Gorkuis back and ravaged the grass around Leroy's body.

'This amount of mana at such a young age, just what is this kid' Gorkuis thought as he stared at Leroy who was now getting up on his feet slowly

Leroy finally stood up, the simple action taking much more effort than usual, unlocking his mana had taken a huge toll on his body, both physically and mentally.

He looked at his hands, clenching them and unclenching a few times, and then raised his head to look around him.

It was as if a new set of eyes had opened for him.

He could see everything so clearly, that it almost felt like he had been blind his whole life until now.

He could feel the sensation of mana running through his veins as it helped his body recuperate, what would have taken days to heal was being done in mere minutes.

"I did it, I unlocked my mana," Leroy said out loud towards Gorkuis though it felt like it was mostly directed at himself.

At that moment Harry could be seen walking towards them.

He was looking at Gorkuis while asking a question with his eyes and then turning them towards Leroy.

Gorkuis just nodded as he allowed Harry to pass and go to Leroy.

'This monstrous kid really did unlock his mana in a single day and its such a large quantity that I don't think i have even seen nobles with this amount of mana.' Harry thought as he asked Leroy.

"Are you all right kid? Any side effects?" Harry said as he patted Leroy's shoulder.

"I'm fine, everything seems fine at the moment, I'm just exhausted" Leroy answered.

"Good, that's normal, now then let's stop the training here for today, I'm sure you're excited to use your mana but you need to rest your body," Harry said as he pointed behind his back.

"Let's go to the camp, they started cooking food, I'm sure you're hungry"

And then he turned around and he started walking back to the camp.

Leroy just nodded as he followed him, moving together with Gorkuis.

Turning his head, he faced Gorkuis and gave him his thanks.

"Thank you for helping me unlock my mana," Leroy said as he nodded towards him.

"It's no problem, it wasn't like I did much, I just told you the way and you did it all on your own, either way having stronger comrades is always better than having weaker comrades" Gorkuis replied as they continued following Harry.

Arriving at the camp, Gorkuis went to his tent as he said he wasn't hungry, leaving Harry and Leroy together.

Harry took Leroy to a small campfire they had created with six huge logs surrounding it.

Taking up a seat, Leroy noticed everyone looking at him.

"So ya finally unlocked them mana circuits eh?" Henry, the man with the everlasting smile on his face asked Leroy.

Nodding his head, Leroy answered

"Yeah, it was pretty hard but Gorkuis managed to help me through it"

"What does it feel like to have mana?" Another man asked him, if he was average in all categories, Leroy only knew that he was called Jakob and that he was part of the tanks of the group.

"It feels surreal, it's almost as if I was dead and only now came back to life" Leroy answered the man honestly.

"Checks out, that's what everyone says when they unlock their mana for the first time" The man replied as he extended his hand and gave Leroy a stick with meat skewered on it.

Taking it, Leroy nodded in gratitude as he started munching on his food immediately.

The whole process had taken a lot of energy and now he was feeling starved.

"Was the process hard for you, I remember mine being the worst pain I'd ever experienced" Jakins asked from another log where he was seated.

Stopping his ravaging of the meat on the stick, Leroy answered.

"It was painful as hell, it was like explosions were sounding out in my body" Leroy answered

"Explosions? What do you mean by that?" Harry asked his expression perplexed.

"When my mana crashed with the wall surrounding the core, it seemed to cause an explosion" Leroy replied as he continued to eat his meat skewer.

"You... made your mana crash with the seal" Harry asked, his face filled with disbelief.
