Ash's eyes fluttered open to the warm, gentle light of the morning sun filtering through the curtains. For a moment, he was disoriented, his mind sluggish from sleep.
As his senses sharpened, he realised two things at once: he was nestled comfortably against a warm body, and Elijah's arms were wrapped around him.
He frowned. Didn't he sleep on the floor?
In reality, when Elijah couldn't take it anymore. As soon as Ash slept, Elijah quickly picked him from the floor and rested beside him.
He felt the heat of Elijah's body pressed against his own. His heart began to race, and he moved slightly, trying to disentangle himself from Elijaj's strong embrace.
But as he moved, it slightly disturbed Elijah's slumber. He unconsciously slipped his hand under Ash's shirt and caressed his back.
