Ruelle sat at the Groundlings' table in the dining hall, where some students had already finished their dinner and left. Candles flickered inside the lanterns, the room filled with a low hum of conversations from the Elites' and the Groundlings' tables, except for the Halflings, whose chatter was slightly louder than the others.
"I can't believe you are finally done with the scarf; it has turned out so intricate," Hailey, who sat beside her, said as she admired the scarf, taking it in her hands to observe it closely.
"It feels like you've been working on it forever," Kevin said with a small, thoughtful smile. "But now that it's almost done, it feels like something we've all been part of, like we've gone through the process of making together. You made it look easy."
