The sun finally shines after the rain stops, making the surroundings now become average.
Like always, after the sun is seen; the day will continue to begin its way again. One of the examples is seen through a majestic orphanage. Children from there went to play wildly as the door of the orphanage opened, permitting them to have free time playing in a field of flowers outside of the building.
As they went playing through, an old man; having decreased white hair, was almost bald, and a shortened weighted physique, while having a cane, went looking at them and smiled vividly as they ran, he couldn't help but feel grateful that god gave him sustenance to make him raise orphans, and even gave a permission to him so that he can make the orphanage pretty whilst making it the most hospitable place's to them.
As he still views his children playing around the flower fields, a carriage of horses is heard outside of the orphanage's gate. Of course, The old man's focus shifted to the main cause of the sound
'Possibly rich nobles wanted to raise an orphan, perhaps', said the old man throughout his mind, but when he awaited the one who he believed was earlier, it was actually not a noble. Wearing a fully covered body black hood, he is more of an assassin or other figure who was hidden in the shadows, as his appearance indicates. Confused and kind of panicked, he tried his best to be confident with his questions if the man went near to him, as he didn't know why such an imposing figure went to his place.
But that was not what he only noticed, another thing about it is that he heard a cry of a child, a baby if more accurate. It was then that the old man might understand the situation he was in, but before that, he wanted to make sure it was because of that child or otherwise, beforehand.
"Greetings visitor, supposed you want to send a lostful child, perhaps?"Questioned the old man, in a mannered tone, even though his confidence was shaken greatly. The figure has a black leather mask, but there are no visible holes in the areas for the eyes to see, possibly indicating that the man does not even need to use sight.
From head to toe, the old man knew there was something off about this particular figure, but as he tried to speculate on what the imposing figure's motives were about, he already gave words to the old man.
"No need to ask about my appearance or even my motives...I only want you to take this child as your adopted son, or your head is detached from your body, leaving the children here screaming for you, as their favourite father, Marline, will be a lifeless headless corpse, having blood to paint the beautiful fields of flowers" As a cold voice was heard from him, already in a split of a second when his sentence is finished; a weird-looking ancient sword was inches away from the old man's neck in an alarming speed made by the mysterious man.
Of course, the old man was immediately shocked by the sudden action made by that man, and as soon as he realized because of that, he tumbled down and went panting to catch his breath, as he could not withstand the pressure he was forced to take.
Understandably, the man went easy by taking up his sword on his shoulders, possibly letting the old man relax for a while, and in between the little silence he gave, he gave apologies and an explanation beforehand so that Marline could understand why this man wanted this poor soul to be adopted so badly, as he too thinks that his actions are a bit weird for a responsibility that the old man always carries no matter what.
"Apologies for making you covered in fear, perhaps. But I have my reasons on why I should be doing this..."His voice deepens, suitable to the sentences he made as the reason for it will become deeper if the old man tried to undercover it.
"What is it? To the point you need to threaten me with a sword?"Surprisingly, after the old man had caught his breath even though he was still panicking, questions were poured onto him in a straightforward variant.
"Hmm? It was something important actually. And since that I only knew records of you, not your real personality, makes me think that you might be a selfish person than what you are for real. Hence makes me feel like I need to 'force you' to do it. So, my actions are truly regretting sincere " He replied in a more peaceful tone, in which he gave a moment of silence to see Marline's reaction, in which he displayed a confused emotion as he is known by many of his neighbours as the 'kindest' man. Not 'Selfish'.
"Anyways, the child in question is the prince's son resulting from a harem he made for his so-called; 'beautiful' women."He then continued to give his facts to Marline in which Marline's reaction went wild as he never knew that Eastfield's prince would do such a thing. After all, they are the descendants of 'The Reminder Of The Heavens'.
'Out Of All...The Reminder's Descendants?!' Marline could never believe it, as there were speculations that the descendants of The Legendary Figures would never easily fall to disgusting sins.
"Why does his descendants do this? I thought the Holy Figures would teach their sons to do Heavenly Virtue!"He started to get frustrated with the fact that such degeneracy had been made by the supposedly divine generations
"Time has changed, Old man. We were safe during the 'Golden Age Era' at that time because of the Reminder still existed... But that all changed when god notified the reminder that there will be no other Reminder for a period of time, through clues from the Holy Books that we might have read."He calmly replied as Marline watched him in awe, he had never heard of this.
"But the thing is, minimal but impactful information's came from the Holy book were gone away, mostly been forged by unauthorized people" He continued sentences
"Unauthorized people?" Asks Marline as he is more into the man's tale, although his mind barked it as a hoax, but his explanation just... makes sense.
"It is because the Demons went back to our realm again...After The Reminder exorcise many of them. Who's the cause of this? I, personally don't know how they appeared again. But it seems a some people hear its whispers to release them for something, as the demons will always be like that. Using deals as a way to make himself free." Speculations were given that make the old man now in fear with the latest information. The Demons are coming back
"But don't worry about it, they aren't like some individuals who will eat our kids alive. Instead, they are more of like, manipulative creatures aiming to make the world rot from being religious."
Stunned, the old man was even more shocked by this, it just kept getting worse.
"Which is why I need you to take this poor soul, as he is the last hope of the world to be free again."
All this explanation makes the very eyes of the old man start to tear up. He had never seen someone so close to being divine like this. But it was a mixed reaction, some of his body screamed it was all a lie, but some said it to be true.
With all of this combined, he decided to accept the offer, even though it left him tasting bitter for some reason.
"I will accept your offer, but I have a question"
"Hmm? What is it that has been boggling you?" He replied to Marline in a questioned form, as he expected that the explanation he summarized was supposed to be complete.
"What is the point of forcing me to do this as if this is was too urgent? Even if the child belongs to an important figure, you shouldn't be like this"Marline asks yet a sound of complaint is heard by him, as he is not understood by the man's actions.
"Don't you see? If we manage to make the kid become an adult, he can change the world again. As the red-haired bastard will make this world become endangered again."He answered
"So your motive is to get revenge?"Replied Marline in a questioning tone
"Not in the least, Marline. It is for a greater purpose."The man still remained his patient.
"Then what?"
"To reunite the world."Finally, the answer was named, which made the old man in confusion
"Reunite the world? How?" Marline ask
"He will be the next Reminder" He replied again. Now, rather than covered in confusion, he is in an expression of surprise.
"Wait, he will be The Next Reminder? How?" Even though it seemed unbelievable to him, his face brightened along the way as he spoke.
"You see, I was supposed to do this because I have been given orders from the Last Reminder in a dream to do a new prophecy they made, he also gave me the sword to defend and a book of prophecy from them as a present. At that time, I almost died on a battlefield." He explained it
"Orders? Did you get them when you almost died and continued to live? I do not even trust you in the slightest. who even are you?"He asks as he now would want to see the mysterious man's face after suspicions raised highly.
The man silenced at Marline's reply at first, but he later on opened his mask. And for no reason, the old man gasps as he immediately recognizes the man's face.
"Sabre Bleu? Weren't you supposed to be...Wait, it makes sense now. That's why...It's too urgent."Marline mumbled
"they said every action mattered to us, to the world...Which is why I looked forceful at you. Sorry"He later apologizes
"I see, then I will not disagree with you now. I am so sorry that I judged you too far. Forgive me, sir"Marline bows down to respect Sabre, as he is a knight
"No worries, It is I am the one who should apologize to you, well. I hope my explanation helps you, anyway. I am leaving. Take care of the child, Marline. I cannot adopt the child myself, as my life will come to an end faster than the child grows. They notified me as I was supposed to live to do this quest, so your understanding is appreciated."Sabre replied
As soon as they ended, they waved their goodbyes with The important child in Marline's hands. He watches as the sun begins to set away from the land they stepped on, making the sky display its beautiful orange atmosphere.
The baby was already fast asleep during Marline's talk to Sabre. And the children went back to the orphanage. This makes the surroundings feel calm yet again. With nature displays continued to ease Marline's mood.
As he watches the baby, he forgets something.
"Oh...Right..I forgot to ask Sabre the name of the baby..."
But because Sabre was already away, he continued to look at the horizon for a little more period.
As the focus was shifted to both Marline and the sleeping baby for a period, Marline finally became satisfied looking at god's creation and slowly walked away from the outside and entered the place where he would give the baby the place where he originated from.
That is his home.
