Between August 5 and August 15
Between August 5 and August 15, Harry and Void occasionally visited Diagon Alley with Hagrid. Hagrid, who came every other day at noon, would take them on explorations of the bustling alley or share stories about their parents.
The boys quickly grew fond of these outings, finding comfort and joy in their newfound connection to the magical world. Each visit brought new discoveries and adventures, from the whimsical displays in the shop windows to the fascinating magical items they encountered.
Hagrid, always a source of warmth and knowledge, would entertain them with tales of their parents' time at Hogwarts.
"Yer dad, James, was a real prankster," Hagrid chuckled one afternoon, recounting a particularly humorous escapade. "And Lily and Amara were one of the kindest witches I ever knew. Smart as a whip too. Reminds me a bit of you two."
Void and Harry listened intently, their eyes wide with wonder as they soaked up every detail. They learned about the Marauders and their mischief, Lily's brilliance in Potions, the deep friendship that had bound their parents together and Amara's natural gift in care of magical creatures, charms and hexes to the delight of her house head.
During their explorations, they often revisited their favourite shops. At Quality Quidditch Supplies, Harry would gaze longingly at the broomsticks, imagining himself soaring through the air. Void, ever curious, would spend time in the bookstores, expanding his collection of magical texts and delving deeper into the history and theory of magic.
Hagrid would also take them to the Apothecary, where Void would chat with the shopkeeper about various potion ingredients. He was particularly interested in acquiring more advanced components, having read extensively and asked Hagrid about the rarest and most useful ingredients.
Occasionally, they would encounter familiar faces, like Daphne Greengrass and her family, and exchange polite greetings. The boys felt a growing sense of belonging in this magical community, and their excitement for the upcoming school year continued to build.
Meeting the Weasleys
As Harry, Void, and Hagrid continued their exploration in Diagon Alley, they eventually ran into another wizarding family: the Weasleys. Arthur Weasley, along with his twin sons, Fred and George, were bustling about with their shopping.
Arthur Weasley, a kind-looking man with thinning red hair, noticed Hagrid first and approached with a warm smile. "Rubeus Hagrid! It's been a while, hasn't it?"
Hagrid grinned widely. "Arthur Weasley! Good to see yeh. How're things at the Ministry?"
"Oh, you know, same old, same old," Arthur replied, then turned his attention to the boys. "And who might these young wizards be?"
"This here's Harry Potter, and this is his cousin, Void Potter," Hagrid introduced them. "They're startin' at Hogwarts this year."
Arthur's eyes lit up with recognition. "Harry Potter, is it? And Void Potter? A pleasure to meet you both. These are my sons, Fred and George."
Fred and George, identical with their bright red hair and mischievous grins, stepped forward. "Hey there, Harry, Void," said Fred.
"Pleasure to meet you," added George. "Heard a lot about you."
Void smiled warmly, feeling an immediate connection with the twins. "Nice to meet you, too. We were just finishing up our shopping. First year at Hogwarts, you know."
Fred leaned in conspiratorially. "First year, huh? Well, you've got to watch out for Filch. He's always prowling around, looking for troublemakers."
George nodded, a twinkle in his eye. "And Peeves the Poltergeist—he's a right menace. But if you stick with us, we'll show you the ropes."
Harry, initially shy, couldn't help but smile at the twins' infectious energy. "Thanks. That would be great."
Arthur chuckled, watching the boys interact. "It seems like you'll have a good time at Hogwarts with these two as your guides. They're always up to something."
Void laughed. "I can tell. It's nice to meet some friendly faces before school starts."
Fred and George exchanged glances, and then Fred said, "You know, Void, if you ever need any advice on pranks or getting out of tight spots, just come to us."
"Yeah, we've got loads of tricks up our sleeves," George added with a wink.
Void's smile widened. "I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks, guys."
As they continued to chat, Harry gradually came out of his shell, feeling more comfortable around the Weasleys. Fred and George's easy-going nature and playful banter made him feel at ease.
Hagrid eventually nudged the boys. "We should be gettin' along, lads. Still got a few more things to pick up."
Arthur nodded. "Of course, of course. It was wonderful meeting you, Harry, Void. I'm sure we'll see you again soon."
Fred and George waved enthusiastically. "See you at Hogwarts!"
"Yeah, we'll save you a seat on the train!" George called out as they walked away.
Harry turned to Void with a smile. "They seem really nice."
Void nodded, feeling a warmth in his chest. "Yeah, they do. I think we'll have some good friends at Hogwarts."
As they continued their exploration, the encounter with the Weasleys left both Harry and Void feeling more excited and less anxious about their upcoming adventure at Hogwarts.
Preparing for Hogwarts
Each day, as they returned to the Leaky Cauldron, Void and Harry would share what they had learned and experienced, their bond strengthening with every shared adventure. They felt ready and eager for their journey to Hogwarts, knowing that they were not only well-prepared but also supported by the memories and legacy of their parents and the new friendships they were forming. Every day, Void would read his books in the morning when he woke up before Harry and at night before bed, he focused on books about magical society and laws as per the recommendation from Ragnok so they are not taken advantage of by others and so he ca better protect harry and himself if the adults at this school are anything like what the adults of the muggle world.
Void's Strange Dream
On the night of August 15, Void had the strange dream again, but this time it was much more intense. He found himself engulfed in a whirlwind of memories, watching movies called "Harry Potter" featuring his family and friends. Hagrid was there, along with Fred and George, with their family, and Daphne, though he couldn't see their faces clearly. He also remembers reading books about them as well the books were different from the movies in some parts and gave more details about some things. He was sure it was them as he heard them talking in those movies. The scenes were vivid and disorienting, filling him with a sense of urgency and confusion.
In the real world, Harry was becoming increasingly worried. It was already 3 PM, and Void was still asleep, drenched in sweat and appearing to be in pain. Even their pets, Shadow, Sera, and Yue, were distressed, trying everything they could to help Void but to no avail.
Panicking, Harry rushed downstairs and spotted Hagrid chatting with the Greengrass family, minus Astoria and Cyrus. Bursting with concern, he interrupted, "Hagrid, Void's in trouble! He's not waking up, and he seems to be in pain!"
Hagrid's face turned serious, and Adorabella, who was already alert, stepped forward. "Show me to his room, Harry," she said, her voice calm but urgent.
They hurried upstairs, and Adorabella wasted no time in assessing Void. "Fortunately I have training as a medical witch," she said, already casting a series of healing spells over Void. Her wand moved swiftly, creating a gentle glow around Void's body as she worked.
Hagrid stood by, his large frame tense with worry, while Harry watched anxiously, clutching his cousin's hand. The pets gathered around, their eyes reflecting their deep concern.
Adorabella muttered incantations under her breath, her brow furrowed in concentration. After a few tense minutes, she looked up at Harry and Hagrid. "He's experiencing a powerful magical disturbance in his sleep. It's causing him intense stress and pain. I've managed to stabilize him, but we need to find out what's causing this disturbance."
Void's breathing began to steady, and the tension in his body eased slightly under Adorabella's care. Harry let out a sigh of relief but knew they had to get to the bottom of this disturbance.
"Thank you, Adorabella," Harry said gratefully. "What can we do to help him?"
Adorabella placed a comforting hand on Harry's shoulder. "For now, he needs rest and constant monitoring. We should consult someone with expertise in magical dreams and disturbances. There might be a deeper connection here that we need to explore."
Help from Gringotts
As they made plans to seek further help, Harry and Hagrid stayed close by Void's side, determined to protect him and unravel the mystery of his dreams. The bond between the boys and their friends only grew stronger, united by the challenges they faced together.
As they were pondering their next steps and considering looking for an expert, a sudden knock was heard at the door. Harry, still on edge from the situation, hurried to answer it. To his surprise, it was Griphook, the goblin from Gringotts Bank.
"Good afternoon, young Mr. Potter," Griphook greeted, his sharp eyes glinting with purpose. "We were alerted to a disturbance in Void's magical signature, and I am here to assist. I bring a letter from Ragnok."
Harry quickly took the letter, his hands trembling slightly as he opened it. The letter, written in neat, precise script, read:
To the esteemed descendants of the Potter lineage,
It has come to our attention that Void L. Potter is experiencing significant magical disturbances. We detected the disturbance this morning and initially thought it to be the result of accidental magic from a growing wizard. However, upon further investigation, we have concluded that it may be life-threatening.
As part of the ancient contract established with his ancestors, we are obliged to assist in such times of need. Therefore, it is imperative that Void be transferred to the goblin healer at Gringotts immediately.
Ragnok
Director of Gringotts
Harry looked up at Griphook, relief and worried mingling in his expression. "We need to transfer Void to the goblin healer at Gringotts," he said, turning to Adorabella, Hagrid, and the Greengrass family.
Adorabella nodded, her expression serious. "Gringotts goblin healers are highly skilled. They will know how to handle this better than anyone."
Griphook stepped inside, his demeanour efficient and authoritative. "We must act quickly. The longer Void remains in this state, the more risk there is to his magical core."
Hagrid gently lifted Void, cradling him in his massive arms. "Lead the way, Griphook," he said, his voice resolute.
As they prepared to leave, Harry glanced around the room, feeling a mix of gratitude and anxiety. The pets followed closely, sensing the urgency of the situation.
Together, they hurried out of the Leaky Cauldron and made their way to Diagon Alley, moving swiftly towards Gringotts. The imposing white building loomed ahead, its grandeur and security reassuring in this moment of crisis.
Inside Gringotts, they were quickly escorted to a specialized wing for magical healing. The goblin healer, a stern-looking figure with an air of competence, was already waiting for them.
"Place him here," the healer instructed, indicating a softly glowing platform. As Hagrid gently laid Void down, the healer began chanting in an ancient goblin tongue, the air around Void shimmering with potent magic.
Griphook turned to Harry, his expression solemn. "Void is in capable hands now. The healer will do everything possible to stabilize his condition and uncover the cause of these disturbances."
Harry nodded, feeling a weight lift from his shoulders. "Thank you, Griphook. Please, help him."
Griphook gave a small nod. "We honour our agreements and the bonds of magic. Void will receive the best care we can provide."
As the healer worked, Harry, Hagrid, and the Greengrass family waited nearby, their hopes pinned on the expertise of the goblin healers and the strength of the magical bond that tied them all together.
Healing at Gringotts
Griphook gestured for everyone except Harry to step aside and wait outside the room, ensuring that the healer could work without distraction. "Please wait here," Griphook instructed Hagrid and the Greengrass family. "Harry, you may stay. Your presence might be beneficial for Void."
Hagrid, Adorabella, and Daphne exchanged worried glances but complied, moving to a nearby waiting area. Adorabella gave Harry a reassuring nod before they left the room. Harry felt a wave of anxiety as he watched them leave, but he steeled himself, knowing he needed to be strong for Void.
The goblin healer continued chanting in the ancient tongue, the room filled with an ethereal glow. Harry stood by Void's side, watching intently as the healer's magic worked its way through Void's body. Beads of sweat formed on Void's forehead, and his expression contorted with discomfort, but the healer remained focused and unflinching.
Griphook stood nearby, observing the process with a keen eye. "Void is experiencing a powerful magical surge," he explained quietly to Harry. "These surges can be unpredictable and dangerous. The healer is stabilizing his magical core and identifying the cause of this disturbance."
Harry nodded, feeling a mix of fear and hope. "Will he be alright?"
Griphook's expression softened slightly. "Goblin healers are among the best in the magical world. If anyone can help Void, it is them. Trust in the process."
Minutes felt like hours as Harry watched the healer work. The magical glow around Void pulsed rhythmically, gradually becoming steadier. Finally, the healer's chanting slowed and then ceased. The glow faded, leaving Void looking more peaceful than before.
The healer turned to Harry and Griphook, his face serious but calm. "Void's magical core has been stabilized, but the disturbances stem from a deep, magical bond tied to his lineage and past experiences. We need to monitor him closely and continue treatments to ensure his recovery."
Harry exhaled a sigh of relief, gratitude welling up inside him. "Thank you," he said earnestly. "Thank you for helping him."
The healer nodded. "He will need rest and continued care, but he should recover fully in time."
Griphook stepped forward, addressing Harry. "We will keep Void here for further observation and treatment. You can visit him whenever you wish, but for now, it would be best if you allowed him to rest."
Harry nodded, his heart heavy but hopeful. "I'll stay as long as I can."
With Void in capable hands and the promise of recovery, Harry felt a renewed sense of determination. The magical world was full of wonders and dangers, but he knew they could face them together. As he stepped out of the room to rejoin the others, he carried with him the strength of their bond and the unwavering hope for a brighter future.
Harry's Vigil and Void's Recovery
Griphook emerged from the room with a reassuring expression. He approached the waiting Greengrass family and Hagrid, who had been anxiously pacing the corridor.
"Void's condition is stabilizing," Griphook announced. "The healer has managed to address the disturbances in his magical core. He is resting now and will need further monitoring, but he should recover fully with time."
Adorabella let out a sigh of relief, and Hagrid's tense shoulders relaxed. Daphne smiled, her worry easing at the news.
"Thank you, Griphook," Hagrid said gratefully. "It's a huge relief to know he'll be alright."
Griphook nodded. "We honour our agreements and the bonds of magic. Void will receive the best care we can provide."
Hagrid Reports to Dumbledore
At Hogwarts, Hagrid recounted the events to Dumbledore. "That's what happened, and he is fine now according to the goblin healers," said Hagrid.
"Hmm, it is troubling that young Mr. Void was ill to begin with. As long as he is fine now, but you will have to monitor them more closely, Hagrid, until they can be safe at Hogwarts," said Dumbledore.
"Yes, Headmaster, I will," Hagrid replied, worried about anything else happening to the boys.
Dumbledore dismissed Hagrid and went to check his monitoring devices, which were now stable. They had been showing signs of weakness in Void's condition before.
"It may have something to do with the bizarre condition of his father that they would not tell me about, as he never liked me," Dumbledore muttered to himself in his office.
Void's Recovery
The days passed, and Harry faithfully visited Void every day, staying by his side. Their pets—Shadow the black snake, Sera the red bird, Yue the white cat, and Kuro the pure black owl—remained close, sensing the importance of their presence.
By August 25, with only six days left before their departure to Hogwarts, Void had made significant progress. The healer's treatments had worked wonders, and Void was gradually regaining his strength.
Harry sat beside Void's bed, reading aloud from one of their new magical books as he always did, knowing that Void loved to read these books. The pets were scattered around the bed, each keeping a watchful eye on their friend.
"You're getting better, Void," Harry said softly, closing the book and looking at his cousin. "We'll be heading to Hogwarts in six days. I can't wait for you to wake up and see all the people who care about us."
Void stirred slightly, his eyes fluttering open. Harry's heart leapt with joy as he saw the familiar spark returning to Void's gaze.
"Harry... Thanks for staying with me," Void's voice was weak but filled with determination.
"Always," Harry replied, smiling warmly. "We face everything together, remember?"
Void smiled weakly. "Thanks, Harry. It means a lot to have everyone here."
Harry smiled, relieved and happy to see Void in better spirits. "We're all here for you, Void. You mean a lot to us."
Hagrid and the Greengrass family, who heard from Griphook with Fred and George Weasley, who happened to be in Diagon Alley to get some materials for their pranks, soon joined them. Daphne, Cyrus, and Adorabella entered the room with smiles, their earlier worry replaced with relief.
"It's wonderful to see you awake, Void," Adorabella said warmly. "You've been through a lot, but you're a strong young man."
Cyrus nodded in agreement. "Indeed. The magical world holds many challenges, but with your resilience, you'll overcome them all."
Daphne stepped forward, her eyes bright with happiness. "Void, it's great to see you recovering."
Hagrid, his eyes misty with emotion, placed a gentle hand on Void's shoulder. "Yer a tough one, Void. Knew yeh'd pull through."
Void smiled at each of them, feeling deeply touched by their concern and support. "Thank you, everyone. I'm lucky to have you all."
Just then, Fred and George Weasley stepped forward, their identical grins lighting up the room.
"Well, look who's back among the living!" Fred exclaimed, clapping Void on the back.
"We were starting to think you'd decided to take a permanent nap," George added with a wink.
Void chuckled weakly. "It takes more than a magical disturbance to keep me down."
Fred nodded sagely. "Good to hear, because Hogwarts won't be the same without you."
"And we need all the help we can get for our pranks," George said, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "Got a few new ideas we need to test out."
Void raised an eyebrow. "Pranks, huh? What kind of ideas?"
Fred leaned in conspiratorially. "Well, we can't reveal all our secrets just yet. But let's just say, we've got plans to make Filch's life a little more interesting."
George nodded. "And Peeves. That poltergeist needs a taste of his own medicine."
Void laughed, feeling a surge of energy from their infectious enthusiasm. "Count me in. I could use a bit of fun after all this."
Harry, standing nearby, smiled at the interaction. "Just make sure we don't get expelled before we even start."
Fred and George exchanged a look. "Don't worry, Harry," Fred said. "We've got it all under control."
"Well, mostly," George added with a grin.
Daphne smiled, watching the lively exchange. "It sounds like Hogwarts is going to be quite the adventure with you lot."
Cyrus and Adorabella shared a glance, their expressions a mix of amusement and concern. "Just remember to stay out of too much trouble," Adorabella said gently.
"We'll keep an eye on them," Harry promised, giving Void a reassuring smile.
Hagrid chuckled. "With this lot, Hogwarts won't know what hit it."
Void nodded, feeling a renewed sense of excitement for the journey ahead. "Thanks, everyone. I'm looking forward to it."
As the room filled with laughter and friendly banter, Void felt a deep sense of gratitude for the friends and family who stood by him. With their support, he knew he could face whatever challenges lay ahead at Hogwarts.
Continued Treatment and Plans
As they were gathered around Void, the door creaked open, and Griphook entered with a stern-looking goblin healer by his side. The healer carried a tray filled with various potions, each glowing faintly with magical energy.
Griphook cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention. "Void needs proper rest and these potions to recover fully from the 10-day coma," he said, his tone authoritative yet respectful. "The healer will administer the potions and monitor his progress."
The goblin healer nodded and approached Void's bedside, carefully setting down the tray. "These potions are specifically formulated to restore your strength and replenish your magical reserves," the healer explained. "It is crucial that you take them at regular intervals and rest as much as possible."
Void nodded, understanding the seriousness of his condition. "Thank you," he said softly, appreciating the care and attention.
Griphook then addressed the others in the room. "I must ask everyone, except for Harry, to leave the room. It is important that Void is not disturbed during his recovery."
Hagrid and the Greengrass family nodded in understanding. They gave Void encouraging smiles and left the room, with Hagrid giving Void a gentle pat on the shoulder. "Rest up, Void. We'll be back to see yeh soon."
Once the room had cleared, the goblin healer began administering the first potion, a bright blue liquid that shimmered in the light. Void drank it slowly, feeling its warmth spread through his body.
Harry sat by Void's side, his presence a comforting reminder that he wasn't alone. "I'll be here with you, Void," Harry said reassuringly. "We'll get through this together."
Void smiled weakly but gratefully. "Thanks, Harry. I know we will."
As the potions began to take effect, Void felt a wave of exhaustion wash over him. He closed his eyes, allowing himself to drift into a restful sleep, knowing that with Harry and his friends by his side, he would recover fully and be ready for the new adventures awaiting them at Hogwarts.
Final Recovery and Preparations
As Void woke up, he found himself surrounded by his faithful pets and Harry, all asleep on a bed nearby. The room was quiet, bathed in the soft glow of the early morning light filtering through the window.
A healer was standing by, monitoring him closely. Sensing Void's awakening, the healer approached him with a small vial containing the last of the potions.
"You're awake," the healer said, a hint of relief in his voice. "Here, drink this. It's the final potion to complete your recovery."
Void took the vial and drank the potion, feeling its effects spread through his body, invigorating him. The healer then performed a diagnostic spell, his wand glowing faintly as he examined Void.
"You're in good health now," the healer confirmed, a reassuring smile on his face. "The potions have worked, and you should be back to full strength."
Void felt a wave of relief wash over him. He looked at his pets and Harry, grateful for their unwavering support and companionship. As the healer left, Void settled back into bed, feeling grateful for his recovery and looking forward to the adventures that awaited him at Hogwarts.
As the healer was about to leave, Void called out to him, "Wait, could you please let Ragnok know that I'd like to speak with him?"
The healer nodded, noting down Void's request. "I'll pass on your message to Ragnok. I'm sure he'll be able to arrange a meeting soon."
Later that day, Void was informed that Ragnok, the director of Gringotts, was ready to see him. Feeling a mix of anticipation and nervousness, Void made his way to the designated meeting room within the bank. The room was grand, with rich tapestries and a large wooden desk where Ragnok sat, looking both stern and curious.
"Good afternoon, Void," Ragnok greeted him, his voice deep and commanding. "I understand you wanted to speak with me regarding your condition."
Void nodded, taking a seat opposite Ragnok. "Yes, thank you for seeing me. I wanted to discuss the state of my body and the various injuries I've sustained."
Ragnok leaned forward, his sharp eyes focused on Void. "Very well. What can you tell me about these injuries and how they came about?"
Void took a deep breath before beginning. "The injuries Harry and I have are from our time living with our muggle relatives, the Dursleys. They were... abusive. Most of the injuries are from Vernon Dursley, but we've also been hurt by his sister, Marge, and her dog."
Ragnok's expression darkened with anger, his hands clenching into fists on the desk. "This is unacceptable. The Dursleys have committed grave offences against you and Harry. As the director of Gringotts, it is a matter of honour and duty that I ensure they are punished for their transgressions."
Void quickly raised a hand, his voice calm but firm. "Please, Ragnok, don't take any action against them just yet. We don't know if they acted on their own or if they were influenced by other forces. It would be unwise to reveal our hand too soon."
Ragnok took a moment to consider Void's words, his expression thoughtful. "You are wise beyond your years, Void. Very well, I will hold off on any action for now. But know that the goblins of Gringotts do not take such offences lightly."
Void nodded in appreciation. "Thank you, Ragnok. I also wanted to ask if you could provide some potions to help heal my and harry's injuries. And please, keep anything you find about Harry's injuries a secret for now. Document everything and have it ready as evidence, just in case we need it in the future."
Ragnok's stern expression softened slightly. "I understand. Your request is reasonable, and I will ensure that your injuries are treated with the best potions we have. As for Harry, we will document everything meticulously and keep it confidential until the time is right."
Ragnok then handed Void a small, intricately designed card. "This is my personal contact address. If you need anything, just send an owl, and I will take care of it."
Void took the card, feeling a sense of relief and gratitude. "Thank you, Ragnok. Your support means a lot to both Harry and me."
Ragnok nodded, standing up to signal the end of the meeting. "Take care, Void. You and Harry will always be welcome at Gringotts. We will ensure your safety and well-being."
As Void left the meeting room, he felt a renewed sense of determination. With Ragnok's support and the resources of Gringotts behind them, he was more confident than ever that he and Harry could navigate the challenges ahead.
With that, the healer left the room, leaving Void to contemplate the events of the past few days and the mysteries that still lay ahead.
Void's Pondering
As Void prepared for his journey to Hogwarts, his mind buzzed with questions and uncertainties. The recent events, his strange dreams, and the new memories from his past all weighed heavily on his mind. He wondered about Dumbledore's true intentions in this reality. Was he the same wise and benevolent figure as in the stories, or could he be hiding darker motives?
The thought of trusting the Weasleys or Hermione Granger also gave him pause. Were they truly his friends, or could they be pawns in a larger game? Void shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. The idea that Petunia was not the same hostile figure he remembered from his old life puzzled him. Her unexpected kindness and help were a stark contrast to his previous experiences.
"Why am I Harry's cousin in this reality?" Void muttered to himself. "And what's with these memories? Is this some butterfly effect? My Mother was Lily's twin sister and because she was a kind sister to Petunia, they became closer is that why Petunia was a bit nice and felt guilty for the things that were happening to me and harry?"
As he pondered these questions, Void couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to his situation than met the eye. He remembered the mention of a "bonus" from R.O.B, the mysterious entity that had brought him here. Perhaps the answers he sought lay in this supposed bonus.
