After dinner ended, the dining hall was filled with a comfortable hum of satisfaction. Plates were being cleared, and we all leaned back in our chairs, pleasantly full and slightly dazed from laughter.
The night had gone better than I expected, despite the constant teasing and relentless flirting from Ciara and Aeliana. Even Riley, the chief critic of public displays of affection, had ended up joining in the fun.
I dabbed at the corner of my mouth with a napkin, then glanced over at Riley, who was still grinning like the Cheshire Cat. "Well, I guess the evening's not over yet, is it?" I asked, already sensing the mischief brewing in her.
"Absolutely not," Riley said, rubbing her hands together with a gleam in her eye. "I was thinking... a game. But not just any game."
