The next morning, the first rays of dawn filtered through the curtains, rousing me from a deep, peaceful sleep. Seraphine was still beside me, her breathing steady and calm. I took a moment to admire her serene expression before gently nudging her awake.
"Morning, sleepyhead," I whispered, brushing a lock of hair from her face.
She stirred, her eyes fluttering open. A soft smile spread across her lips as she looked at me. "Good morning," she murmured, stretching lazily. "Ready for another day of adventure?"
"Always," I replied, leaning in for a quick kiss.
We climbed out of bed and headed to the bathroom, where we enjoyed a refreshing shower together. The warm water cascading over us was invigorating, washing away the remnants of sleep. We dressed quickly, eager to join the others for breakfast.
