The castle was buzzing with excitement and, more importantly, chaos. Today was the final day of preparation for the royal banquet, and everyone seemed to be running around in a frenzy, trying to get everything perfect.
I was standing in the grand hall, watching as servants, decorators, and even some of our close friends attempted to prepare the space for what Seraphine had deemed "a celebration fit for our little demons."
Two weeks had flown by since Seraphine announced the banquet, and ever since, it felt like the entire realm was preparing for the event.
The twins, of course, had no idea what was going on and were more than happy to cause havoc wherever they could.
I was trying to keep an eye on them while Seraphine gave orders to a group of servants who were busy hanging garlands from the ceiling.
"Riley, can you hold onto Rowena for just a second? She's trying to eat the flowers again," Seraphine called over to me.
