"Jerome, are you sure you want to proceed with the event? There's too many people!" His manager spoke worriedly as he paced back and forth.
"Don't worry Mitch, The event will go as planned, We don't want my supporter base to dwindle right? It would affect us negatively." Jerome spoke softly as he walked out of the Van and heafed into the building.
He could already hear squeals from the hallway into the ballroom of the hotel they booked for the event.
When he walked in the event finally started, He'd held the mic in his hands as he started to sing on stage.
After a few songs he smiled at the audience, "Thank you everyone for coming to my 5th anniversary fan-meet. So let's start the raffle? I'm quite excited myself, after all this is the biggest prize pool yet." He handed the microphone back to the host.
The lights of the hall dimmed down and the screen shone brightly. Soon a roulette was shown on the screen.
"The first lucky five will receive a signed vinyl as well as a commemorative pin." as the host spoke the roulette had already spun and the winners had lined up in the middle aisle in front of the stage.
Jerome was given 5 paper bags as he walked down from the stage to the front of the middle aisle to hand out the prizes won.Â
The raffle was underway as Jerome was giving prizes left and right to the lucky fans that were at the event. One fan caught his eye when she walked up to get her prize.
She was a plain Jane. Nobody would notice her unless she came up to you or were pointed towards. He had give her the prize, she had this smile on her face.
He paid no mind to it and thanked her for attending before looking at the host and nodding to continue the raffle.
"Now for our grand prize! A studio pass! Whoever wins this will be able to hang out at Jerome's personal studio for a day! Of course you will also be given a sneak peek at his upcoming projects." The host spoke and the crowd cheered loudly.
When the roulette started spinning the ballroom had gone silent. The roulette spun as the crowd looked on with excitement. It slowed down until it landed on number 20.
"Number 20! Come up stage and claim your prize!" Jerome saw the same woman from earlier stand up and walk to the stage.
He gave a polite smile before giving the studio pass over to her. The girl's ears flushed red and the smile on her face grew bigger.
She stood beside Jerome for their picture to be taken then she was promptly escorted off the stage. "Congratulations! Winning two prizes? You're quite lucky!"
The host said loudly before passing the microphone to Jerome. He took a deep breath as he looked at the crowd
"Thank you for coming to the 5th Anniversary Fan Meet. I hope everyone enjoyed, Everyone will be given a signed cd, poster, and pins so don't be disappointed if you didn't win anything from the raffle!" Jerome said happily and gave a bow before handing the mic back to the host and left to go to back stage.
He saw his manager stood there with a smile on his face, "Congratulations Jerome, come on let's go celebrate with fried chicken. I'll be lenient on your diet only for today."
"How about a week?" Jerome looked at his manager with puppy dog eyes.
"How about I change that to never?" The manager threatened and Jerome sighed and raised his hands in surrender.
They walked over to the van, the manager rushed over to the driver's seat, Jerome's phone started to ring. He opened the van door and told thr manager to wait a couple of minutes.
"Hey Hun, Yeah I just finished my fan meet today. Me and Michael are on our way to eat chicken, I'll ask him where and you follow?"
He asked as a female voice spoke through the phone, "Sure! Are we finally going public? We're already engaged after all honey."
Jerome smiled softly but heard a loud crash behind him, he turned around to see the same girl that won the studio pass.
"Hello? Something wrong?" Jerome asked the woman as he saw her gaze was directly on his phone.
"Honey I'll text you the location later." He dropped the call after saying goodbye.
She just stood there, she had an expressionless look on her face as he looked at her confused.
"Hello, anything wrong miss?" Jerome once again asked the girl. He approached her wanting to pick up the stuff she had dropped.
Only then he heard her scream loudly and felt something push into him. His manager screamed and rushed out of the car and pushed the crazed woman away.
Security guards rushed over and took the woman down as a large knife was stuck inside of Jerome. His eye's flickered, he felt himself grew colder and more tired while hearing the screams of his manager to not fall asleep.
"Michael, I just need a little bit of rest." Jerome voiced weakly as his eyes closed and his consciousness faded.
