Alright let's start exercising, better now then never. First let's start with some leg stretches and go for a run. I live in an older neighborhood in the suburbs that my parents owned when they were still alive. If I run around my neighborhood it's roughly 1 square mile. So I changed into some running clothes, some basketball shorts and running shoes and a t-shirt I probably should have thrown away a long time ago. I filled up a large 32 ounce water bottle with cold water and ice to keep me hydrated during the run. I am living in Phoenix, Arizona and it's the middle of the summer, if you don't bring a ton of water while running you will pass out from exhaustion.
I start with stretching out my legs, I do a standard quad stretch, where I stand straight on one leg and bring the other leg behind my back, I count for 30 seconds and then switch to my other leg. I then do what I call the old man stretch, which is stretching my hamstring/calf. I start with my right foot pointing the tip of my toes up with my heel on the ground, I then bend my left leg while leaning forward, I then switch legs. I do a few jumping jacks and a few high knee runs in place and I am ready to go.
I am in decent shape and take off for a job and start running around the neighborhood. I make it halfway around the neighborhood about ½ a mile. I then walk around ¼ of a mile and then start running again. I repeat this process and end up walking for ½ a mile and running for 1 ½ miles. I get back to my home, I am breathing really heavily and feel a little dizzy. I slowly walk around my house while drinking water until I know longer feel dizzy and my breathing calms down. I then pull out a simple exercise mat and start doing at home exercises for a whole body workout.
Since I am doing these exercises to get stronger for going into the dungeon. I want to focus on more active exercise so I am focusing on more reps and less weight vs trying to build big useless muscles where I will get tired in 2 minutes by doing high weight and low rep. So I am following a military style exercise that I have looked up on the internet which is what people recommend to do before going into basic training.
I am going to do 3 reps in rotation and take short breaks in between. I am going to start with doing 30 push ups. I lay down on the ground, put my feet together and push up with my arms on my side and back straight keeping my core straight and tense. I then do 30 sit ups, I lay down on my back with legs 90 degrees bent with my feet on the ground, I sit up all the way and then lay back down. I then do 20 lunges on each leg, you take a big step and bend your knee down all the way until it's barely touching the ground and then push up all the way. I repeat this 3 times and I am super exhausted and dying, I am laying on the ground with my back to the sky. I finally see a screen pop up.

Successful completed an exercise that included stamina and strength training increased strength and stamina by .1.

A smile appeared on my face. .1 doesn't seem like a lot but it gives me hope, it gives me hope that I can grow stronger and live my dreams of being a dungeon diver through hard work. The scary thing to me is not that the path I have to take is hard, it's that there is no path at all.
I got up and took a long shower, I changed into some pajamas and made myself a simple healthy dinner. I don't know if my diet will affect my stats but I don't want to risk it, for most dungeon divers it doesn't matter what they eat because their stats won't change. However I feel like I will be different since healthy exercise can make me stronger. I make some simple baked chicken with rice and some carrots and broccoli. I just do something simple with a good amount of protein. I then looked at the time and it was 8 o'clock, I was exhausted and decided to just go to bed.
