Rumble*
The thunder roared with all of its might, making those who were afraid of it flinch, turning up to see the web of lightning that spread far and wide.
"Just what is going on?" They muttered, but soon they turned their attention back to the speech that Varyn was giving.
Varyn extended a hand, following which slender, ornate candles glowing faintly with a blue line that circled it, appearing above everyone's head. Each one had intricate carvings spiralling along its length, radiating a subtle, mysterious energy.
"These," Varyn said, gesturing toward the candles, "are the Mana Candles. Each of you will receive one. Without it, you can not step onto the path of pilgrims." Saying that, he motioned toward the guard, who, receiving the clue, pushed the giant door, opening the passage to the Shrine.
