The bulb lit the room, its lighting prowess questionable. Valcroy had his eyes closed as he used his mental strength and peered in. He could see Abyssal Ether roaring through his body, but strangely, the chain wasn't reacting to it. It was like they couldn't even feel the ether's presence in his body.
'Maybe it specifically targets mana.' Valcroy thought as he kept making exuded the abyssal ether out of his body and it started doing its work, the amount it took could be said astronomical to make a different in Avaloria but he had an endless amount of it so he didn't care.
He looked down and could see the floor under his feet showing signs of corrosion, but his target was those chains that held him in place. The darkness made it so he couldn't see what the progress was and he was still in the intermediate realm, so he wasn't able to use mana pulse, if it was possible with abyssal ether.
