Upon hearing what Erik said, Valcroy glanced down into the darkness, attempting to glimpse at the entity relentlessly attacking them/ But the darkness below felt impenetrable, shrouding everything in a suffocating black veil. Debris from above cascaded downward, large chunks of rock and stone crashing around him. Which made it impossible to stay in one spot and focus on what was pursuing them; the falling wreckage kept them constantly moving, dodging and weaving in midair.
