Gabby made her way into the bathroom for a much-needed shower before she finally decided to head down for breakfast. She opened her door and was surprised to see Alessi standing at the front of the door with her hands raised in a knocking gesture. Before she could even open her mouth to ask any questions, Alessi pushed her aside and made her way into the room, throwing herself on the bed and leaving Gabby standing at the door in utter confusion.
By the time Gabby could gather her wits, Alessi was already making herself comfortable on the bed. Gabby immediately rushed to her to drag her off the bed, but Alessi was having none of it.
"Get your smelly ass off her bed right at this moment, miss. I just had that bed cover changed, and I will be damned if I do that again," Gabby said, all the while still pulling on Alessi's legs. But all she got from her ranting was a strong kick, which almost made her kiss the floor.
Gabby turned around to give Alessi a very strong glare, which kind of disappeared when she saw Alessi smiling at her weirdly, as if she had something very mischievous up her sleeve. She saw her stand up from the bed with that same stupid smile still etched on her face. Gabby watched her warily, trying to decipher what the crazy girl was about to do.
"Hey, look here Alessi, I'm certainly not in for your crazy stuff this morning. Look, I still have a mild headache and her stomach is very much in need of some food, so I would very much appreciate it if you would stop with any crazy idea you have up in that stupid head of yours."
But before she could even complete her sentence, Alessi dived from the bed towards her direction, and before she could make a quick escape, the bullion van, which was built in the form of Alessi, made a direct collision with her delicate structure and almost flattened her.
The collision knocked the total air out of her system, and her fall was great. She had fallen with a loud thud, with Alessi lying sprawled on top of her. She feared for broken ribs and bones because all parts of her body were screaming in pain.
She tried pushing Alessi off her body, but that was easier said than done; the beast of a girl was not movable, and her anger was fast rising. She gathered all the remaining strength left in her body and gave her a strong push, which had Alessi landing on the floor beside her.
She checked herself for any injury and was happy to find none, but that did not excuse what Alessi had just done. It was very dangerous and uncalled for, and something terrible could have happened.
She turned to Alessi only to find her still sprawled on the floor, and that only fueled her anger.
"Why on earth did you do that? I don't appreciate putting herself in any form of risk or danger. I clearly warned you against doing anything, but you ignored all of that, jumping off that bed and nearly sending me to an early grave. Was that your mission? What did you achieve by behaving so childishly, huh?"
The more she ranted, the more her voice increased, and the more Alessi seemed to sink into the ground; she just kept on repeating the words "sorry" over and over again.
It was all so messed up; she tried curtailing her anger, but the idiot was so adamant at the moment. She knew that if she should still stand in the same room with Alessi, her anger was not leaving anytime soon. So she made her way into the bathroom and closed the door; she knew she had to calm down.
She was not sure how long she had spent in the bathroom because she had been reciting the periodic table, which had proved effective in calming her down.
She heard a knock and a faint voice, which clearly belonged to Alessi, asking if she was alright and apologizing at the same. Gabby was no longer angry; her anger had long diminished.
She carefully opened the door to avoid hitting Alessi, who had been standing so close to the door. She knew that they had to have a reasonable conversation about what had just happened. She was not so sure herself if she had overreacted and escalated the matter out of proportion. She had just felt so mad and had lashed out.
She gently closed the door and turned to look at Alessi, who in turn was also staring at her. Gabby made an effort to talk, but before she could say a word, Alessi launched herself at her, and by the look of things, she was on the verge of tears.
You could tell by the way her voice was shaking while she was going on about how sorry she was, and she was really sniffing badly. Gabby was actually surprised by the action, that she had actually stood there awkwardly, not knowing how to respond to that kind of affectionate behavior.
She stood there with Alessi's arms still around her, contemplating what to do. Then she acted instinctively and gave her a tight hug and rubbed her back to calm her down; after some time, she was calm and pulled herself away from her.
She wouldn't even look Gabby in the eyes anymore; Gabby felt how sorry she was, and she didn't have it in her anymore to remain angry at her. Though Alessi had actually surprised her by shedding tears and hugging her in apology, she had never witnessed that kind of apology in all her years.
But she felt the sincerity behind the action and did not have it in her to still be mad at Alessi. She led them towards the bed, and they both sat down.
Alessi looked up towards her with tears gathering in her eyes and said, 'I am so sorry, Gabby. I did not know why I did that. I think I was still drunk, and I thought it would be fun. Then you fell, and you got mad, and then you started shouting at me...' she rambled.
Gabby touched her hands and squeezed slightly. 'It's all good, Alessi. I'm no longer mad at you. It's just that that kind of stuff is very risky and could have turned out worse than you had hoped for. And besides, how can a fat buffalo such as yourself try to bulldoze a delicate lamb like herself, hmm?' she said, trying to lighten the mood, which kind of worked because it drew a smile out of her.
'Ok... alright, all is fine and good. I'm sure you came to my room this beautiful morning for a good reason, or did you have it in that beautiful mind of yours to just trample the hell out of me?' she joked, smiling at Alessi.
Alessi snorted out what was supposed to be a laugh, which sounded more like that of a dying whale. She quickly placed her hands on her mouth and turned to look at Gabby, and that kind of broke the dam because they both burst into laughter, and that was a damn fine good morning laugh which they had right there, and all was good in their world again."
