Prologue: Langa Rivera is here! The King of Beasts Festival begins in one month!
プロローグ:ランガ・リベラがやってきた!百獣の王祭りがあと1ヶ月で始まります!
Planet Virantis: 150 years after the establishment of the I.G.P.
There is a large exoplanet located within the Adorin Galaxy, 25.2 million light-years away from our Earth.
Forget the cold designation of 1-09, for this vibrant world thrives under the name Virantis. Imagine Mars, but larger, and adorned with three moons as loyal companions. Instead of barren deserts, vast continents sprawl across its surface, divided by a mesmerizing emerald ocean. Towering forests whisper secrets, rugged mountains pierce the sky, and bioluminescent mushrooms, taller than skyscrapers, illuminate a unique "Mushroom Forest."
Life flourishes on Virantis. Introduced animals like dogs, cats, and even pigs roam free alongside native grazers. Fifty years ago, humans arrived, seeking treasures hidden within the planet's heart and forging alliances with the native Virians. But a shadow hangs over this paradise. One noble family's colonists vanished without a trace.
In the year 2418, humanity has shed the scars of nuclear folly and ecological devastation. A new era of innovation dawns. But on Virantis, a chilling mystery threatens to unravel this burgeoning peace. What happened to the missing colonists? The answer lies hidden within the heart of this extraordinary world.
Humanity has become a space faring civilization, after the establishment of the I.G.P, humanity had become protectors of the known galaxies, enter Planet Virantis, a lush green world filled with life, its native inhabitants are the Virantians, humanity became friends of the Virantian people, settling on the planet as the Virantian Princess married the President of the USNA(United States of North America), producing the royal family of today.
Nestled among the vibrant subcontinent lies a bustling metropolis where humans and aliens have woven their lives together. But three months ago, a dark stain fell upon this tapestry. The powerful Valari family, a human-Virantian union, was found brutally murdered. Their only daughter, Elara, vanished into the night, branded a fugitive and burdened with a bounty for her family's deaths.
Elara, determined to prove her innocence and uncover the truth, left civilization behind. The western continent, once home to a majestic tech metropolis, now stood desolate. Towers, once monuments to innovation, lie shattered, victims of time and neglect. The echo of life has long faded, leaving the city a grim silhouette against the setting sun.
Not a single living soul stirs within its empty, rusting streets. Elara's journey begins here, in the ruins of a forgotten dream, where the silence holds clues not just to a city's downfall, but perhaps, to the truth behind her family's demise. Will she find sanctuary or become another victim of this forsaken land? The desolate heart of the forgotten city awaits her arrival.
Except for one....
Amidst the sprawling chaos of the city's main district, a lone figure sprawled unconscious on the dusty ground. Beneath a harsh sun, a young man, no older than seventeen, emerged from the haze. His Afro-Latino features were framed by vibrant red and black dreadlocks, most gathered in a ponytail except for two loose strands mirroring the disarray around him. Grime and debris clung to his clothes, contrasting starkly with the strange silver-and-blue device gleaming near his wrist, pulsing with white light. Another contraption, a case housing thirteen mysterious cylindrical tubes, rested on his belt at his left hip.
A groan escaped his lips, followed by the slow flutter of golden eyes against the searing sunlight. He winced, raising a shaky hand to shield them. Inhaling deeply, he mustered the strength to push himself into a sitting position, the city's harsh reality slowly coming into focus.
"Langa: Okay....Definitely don't know where the hell I am..I'm not in the states anymore..hold up? Is this even earth???"
Disoriented, the young man massaged his temples, a wave of confusion washing over him. His eyes darted around, widening in dismay as they landed on the desolate cityscape. Buildings stood like hollow teeth, devoid of life. This stark reality clashed with the memory of his vibrant surroundings, sending a tremor through him.
He craned his neck, searching for the familiar warmth of the sun. Instead, an unsettling azure orb hung overhead, its cerulean glow defying reality. Panic clawed at his throat. The sun, always a constant, was now an unsettling alien. The ground rushed to meet him as searing pain erupted from his chest. Gasping, he crumpled to his knees, the agony unlike anything he'd ever known.
"Langa: Oww....Tch?! Dammit that hurts.."
A choked groan escaped him as the chest pain intensified, then slowly waned. Wincing, he scanned the desolate landscape – a tapestry of sand and rocks stretching to the horizon, devoid of any familiar sight.
Yet, the unsettling chorus of unseen creatures echoed in the distance, a chilling reminder of his solitude.
To his right, a peculiar device glinted, drawing his gaze. Unknown, yet strangely alluring, it pulsed with an otherworldly light, beckoning his touch. Hesitantly, he reached out, his fingers trembling with a mix of fear and curiosity.
"Langa: Woah....J-just what is this thing? It's....calling out to me...how does it..know my name....?"
A tingle of warmth, tinged with an odd coolness, pricked Langa's curious fingertips as he grasped the unknown device. Its purpose was a mystery, its sleek form unlike anything his seventeen years had ever encountered. Yet, an undeniable pull emanated from within, whispering secrets almost too alluring to ignore.
But as he cradled the object, a jolt of surprise shot through him. Its hue, somehow eerily in sync with his attire, defied logic. This uncanny synchronicity fueled his bewilderment.
Every inch of the device was scrutinized, searching for answers amidst the heat radiating from its depths. What secrets did it hold? Why did it feel so inexplicably connected to him? The questions swirled, demanding answers from the unyielding silence the device held.
"Langa: Huh, kind of weird that it matches my outfit. And what the hell is this thing?"
Langa soon realized he didn't know where he was.
"Langa: Dammit?! Now I definitely wanna know where the hell I am?!"
Aching, he pushed himself upright, the aftershocks of pain still sending tremors through his body. As he scanned his surroundings, a jolt jolted his memory. He'd been with his friends, laughing and chatting as they walked home. Then, a blinding white light. Oblivion. Panic welled up. Where were they? He spun around, searching desperately, but he was alone. The joyous chatter, the friendly presence - all vanished. Only an unsettling silence remained.
"Langa: Wait a minute…..Nia? Hayley? Leeya? Maia? Devin? Austin? Guys? Where are you morons?"
His call echoed unanswered, swallowed by the suffocating silence. He strained to hear a reply, any sign that his voice had reached someone, anyone. But there was nothing. Nothing but the vast emptiness pressing in on him.
He spun around, searching frantically for his friends, their faces blurring in his worried mind. Panic gnawed at him, fueled by the eerie quiet. Had they gone somewhere? Were they lost too? Or...worse?
"Langa: C'mon you guys? Answer me? Where are you damned numbskulls?!"
Panic clawed at his throat as he roared once more, the sound ragged and desperate. Sweat, icy and heavy, tracked down his face, blurring the desolate landscape before him. He spun, his voice cracking as he called out, each unanswered echo a hammer blow to his hope. The ruins, once a shelter, now mocked him with their silence, amplifying the gnawing fear that had taken root in his gut.
"Langa: Yep....I'm here all alone....I'm gonna kick their ass once I get back home-"
Langa said to himself as he looked all around the empty city.
The oppressive silence pressed down on Langa as he surveyed the deserted cityscape. Empty buildings stared back with hollow eyes, broken vehicles littering the streets like fallen soldiers. This city, alien yet somehow familiar, held him captive. Fear gnawed at the edges of his mind, but determination burned brighter. His friends, his home – these were his beacons, pulling him forward.
Jadena City, Texas, back on Earth – the name tugged at the fringes of his memory, a comforting anchor in this sea of the unknown. Yet, fragments of past experiences kept surfacing, whispering of a previous visit to this very place. His mind strained against a barrier of amnesia, the cityscape acting as a distorted mirror reflecting a forgotten truth.
As he navigated the maze of deserted streets, a sense of déjà vu clung to him like cobwebs. Buildings, shops, landmarks – echoes of his home intertwined with an eerily similar yet foreign landscape. Was it a trick of the mind, a cruel joke played by his subconscious?
His steps quickened as he approached the colossal central building, its imposing height dominating the skyline. Strange, yet stirring a deep resonance within him. Memories flickered, tantalizingly close – his uncle's voice, a cryptic warning about this very building, its hidden purpose...but then, a deafening explosion ripped through the nascent recollection, leaving only echoes in its wake.
Langa stood at the precipice of a forgotten past, the weight of its secrets pressing down on him. But he wouldn't be deterred. This deserted city held the key, and he would unlock its mysteries, even if it meant confronting the fragments of his own shattered memory.
His gaze snapped westward, witnessing buildings erupt in flames on the city's fringes. Panic surged through him as more detonations rattled the ground, one structure imploding into a cloud of dust. Whatever was happening, he knew it wasn't good. The tremor beneath his feet intensified, growing with each earth-shattering stomp.
An inhuman, guttural chatter sent shivers down his spine, amplified by the looming spires. As the monstrous footfalls echoed anew, Langa gasped, clutching his chest where a sudden, searing pain had taken root. He sprinted for cover, adrenaline coursing through his veins as the unknown terror closed in.
Langa held his breath, stifling a whimper of pain as he strained to locate the source of the unsettling sound. Suddenly, a gasp escaped him as a towering figure emerged from the shadows, nearly twice his height at a staggering 6'9". Hope surged through him. It had been hours since he'd seen another soul, and salvation seemed to walk towards him in the form of this unknown being.
He eagerly met the figure, relief washing over him as he imagined a friendly face offering guidance back home. But as the distance closed, a chilling realization dawned. This was no human, but a creature from beyond the stars.
The alien was immense, its muscular frame draped in dark-green skin, contrasting starkly with the pale skin of its chest and abdomen. Sharp eyes gleamed beneath heavy brows, and long fangs glinted menacingly. Two pointed ears jutted from its head, crowned by jet-black dreadlocks that flowed down its back. A powerful tail, the color of deep emerald, swished behind it.
Its attire was as striking as its form – a crimson bodysuit clung to its sculpted physique, adorned with matching fingerless gloves and boots. A necklace of razor-sharp fangs hung around its neck, competing for attention with an ornate crown and a fur-trimmed cape secured by a scorpion-shaped buckle.
This was no savior, but a being of unknown origin and intent. Langa's heart hammered against his ribs, his hope replaced by a chilling uncertainty.
"???: I don't know who you are, but as I see it, you're my opponent!"
The alien's reptilian eyes locked onto Langa's, a chilling contrast to the warmth of the cloak flung skyward. Anxiety gnawed at Langa. What did this towering figure, wrist adorned with the same enigmatic device, want with him? The answer, reflected in the alien's unflinching gaze, offered no comfort.
"???: Mark my words, young one. On Planet Virantis, Dynix Controllers like us are a precious few! Rarer than stardust, and whispered about in hushed tones. We wield power beyond imagining, commanding beasts of legend in the ultimate test of might! We are Dynix Controllers, and we clash in the arena for the coveted title of King of the Beasts! Now, summon your own Dynix and face me!"
Langa's face mirrored the bewilderment in the alien's words. Each syllable, a foreign chime, bounced off his understanding, leaving him utterly dumbfounded. The alien's message, whatever it was, remained as impenetrable as a locked vault. Langa, lost in translation and sheer confusion, could only stare, his expression a comical mask of disbelief.
"Langa: Dynix? Planet Virantis? The hell're you talking about man?! I didn't understand one thing you just said, so forgive me if I look weird cos yo dumbass didn't explain it well enough-"
The alien tongue outside Planet Virantis was gibberish to Langa. He grasped that much, along with the bewildering truth: he stood on foreign soil, a planet unseen and unheard of, yet strangely familiar. It was as if a forgotten memory danced at the edge of his mind, a whisper of a journey on a ship to an unknown world, followed by...nothing.
The man facing him mirrored Langa's confusion. A whirlwind of questions swirled within Langa, but one clawed its way to the forefront, demanding an answer.
"??": Tell me something young man, do you know what that device In your hand is? Or even what it enables you to do?"
Langa's gaze locked onto the man as his head shook in disapproval. The man responded with a booming laughter that reverberated through the dilapidated cityscape, his twisted grin mirroring his malevolent intentions with chilling clarity.
With a flick of his wrist, he activated a device strapped to it. A cylindrical object shot out, pulsating with an ominous emerald glow as it landed firmly in his grasp.
The man's frustration was palpable, a guttural groan escaping his lips upon seeing Langa's unwavering stance.
"???: Damn, you really are a newbie. Well then I'll tell you a little bit about it. That device in your hand is known as a "Dominator", it is the main device we as Controllers use to summon our Dynix and guide them in battle! And the one strapped to your waist is known as the "Dyna-holder", it is just the name suggests, it holds any Dyna-Core's you have with you. It's one of two devices all Controllers have. So be sure you keep ahold of your Dyna-Core's and the Dyna-Holder."
The man's hand drifted towards the small of his back, fingers brushing against the Dyna-Core holder on his belt. Langa's apprehension grew, eyes glued to the hand of the alien. Was it a weapon? A tool? Something Langa had never encountered before?
Fear gnawed at him, reflected in his tense posture. But then, Calnor surprised him. A smile softened his features, acknowledging the young man's nervousness. He knew the human was on edge, and it was time to break the tension.
"???: Before we get started, how about you tell me your name? Mine is Calnor and I am a Kylosian. I am the King of my homeworld - Planet Naronga!"
"NAME: Calnor Briggata - AGE: ??? - SPECIES: Kylosian - Occupation: Dynix Controller/Kylosian King."
Towering over Langa like a redwood over a sapling, Calnor radiated an imposing presence. His immense size and stature dwarfed the young human, yet Langa stood his ground, defiance burning in his eyes. He wasn't one to cower, even against strangers. But before Langa could utter a word, Calnor uncorked the mystery he held, revealing...
"Calnor: Listen well boy, just because you're a newbie to Controller battles doesn't mean i'm gonna go easy on ya. Now, after you tell me your name, we can get started!"
The giant alien's words seemed to melt away some of Langa's initial fear. While a flicker of nervousness remained, each rumble from the alien's voice chipped away at it. Langa sensed no malice, and that was enough for him. Steeling himself, he straightened his posture, his yellow eyes catching the light with a momentary glint before softening into a wide, toothy grin that seemed to defy his apprehension.
"Langa: My name is Langa, and I am a human."
"NAME: Langa "Morningstar" Obasi Rivera - AGE: 17 - SPECIES: Human/??? - Occupation: Dynix Controller/???"
As Langa revealed his name, a wide smile stretched across Calnor's face, momentarily erasing the tension etched there. The hulking man's gaze softened as he studied the young man, taking in his determined stance and the glint of anticipation in his eyes. Calnor, mirroring the gesture, raised his arm high, the device strapped to it and the device held in Langa's hand both were pulsing with an otherworldly glow. The air crackled with unspoken energy, the silence thick with unspoken purpose. In that charged moment, both Langa and Calnor knew they were on the precipice of something extraordinary.
"Calnor: Well then, Langa. It's time to battle!"
A surge of emerald light pulsed from the man as he activated the waist-mounted device. With a hiss, chambers opened, ejecting several cylinders that arced through the air towards the young man. He caught them reflexively, their unfamiliar forms igniting his curiosity. Glancing back at the reptilian figure, Calnor, he found a knowing smile playing on the man's lips. Mimicking the movement, Calnor slotted his own cylinder into the arm-mounted device, leaving the young man to ponder the purpose of these mysterious objects.
"Calnor: COME ON OUT AND ATTACK SCORPTIX!"
A triumphant roar erupted from the man, punctuated by manic laughter. Finally, a worthy opponent! And what luck – a greenhorn, ripe for a lesson. He'd show this Langa the true meaning of a Battle, of this entire Festival.
As if conjured by his excitement, the Dominator on his arm pulsed with an emerald glow. With a flick of his wrist, he sent the cylinder soaring into the sky. Calnor launched himself after it, arm extended in a graceful arc. High above Langa's head, the cylinder spun, bathed in a blinding green light, before bursting open in a dazzling spectacle.
"Robotic Voice: Insertion complete. Commence DNA fusion! Scorptix Dynalize!"
The deafening blare of the device echoed through the room as a grotesque, scorpion-like image flared on the screen. A guttural roar erupted from within, followed by an eerie green glow pulsating from the creature's form. Without warning, a blinding emerald beam shot skyward, solidifying into a colossal entity before crashing to the ground in a burst of crackling energy.
"Kssh! Booom!"
Langa instinctively shielded his eyes from the onslaught of light, bracing himself for the inevitable impact. He felt the tremor as the colossal figure landed mere feet in front of him. As the dust slowly cleared, a bone-chilling bellow resonated through the air.
"Scharrrrrrrr!"
Awe and terror warred within Langa as he dared to peek through his fingers at the colossal figure before him. It was a creature out of nightmares, an embodiment of both the sublime and the monstrous.
Stretching twenty meters long, its massive body resembled a living tank. Six long, spindly legs supported its weight, while a whip-like tail tipped with a menacing stinger arched menacingly overhead. Two powerful arms, their ends equipped with deadly pincers, hung at its sides, and large, reddish-brown eyes gleamed with predatory intelligence. Flanking its carapace, strange organs pulsed with an unknown liquid, adding an unsettling luminescence to the scene.
The creature bore the scars of countless battles, a gash revealing the absence of one eye. Each war wound was a testament to its immense power and the dangers it had faced. To Langa, it was an enigma, a being beyond his wildest imagination. But then, the device clutched in his hand hummed to life, its internal database confirming a chilling truth: he had just encountered a legend, a beast known only in whispers and forbidden texts.
"Robotic Voice: The Rock/Bug type Dynix known as Scorptix! One of many types of insect class Dynix that were recently relocated to Virantis over 200 years ago!"
Species name: Scorptix
Height: 15 meters
Weight: 24,000 tons
Origin: Planet Naronga
Attack: 900
Defense: 1099
Speed: 789
Electricity crackled through the air as the Scorptix let out a bone-chilling screech, its bioluminescent organs pulsing on its flanks like malevolent eyes. Calnor, perched atop his Dynix, reveled in the terror radiating from the young man before him. Each hesitant step back fueled Calnor's amusement, the young man's wide eyes reflecting the monstrous Scorptix looming closer.
With a snap that echoed through the desolate landscape, the Scorptix's pincers gnashed, their metallic gleam a stark contrast to the glistening venom dripping from its segmented tail. The toxin, a sickly green luminescent ooze, sent shivers down Langa's spine. He knew its touch meant oblivion, yet he found himself frozen, mesmerized by the horrifying beauty of the creature before him.
"Calnor: Because you're a newbie and you don't know how to summon your Dynix, I'll finish this fight quickly! Go now, Scorptix! Finish Langa off now!!"
Dread pulsed through Langa as the Scorptix's side-mounted organs flared a menacing orange, signifying live prey. Calnor, a chilling smirk twisting his lips, watched his beast stalk closer.
Fear locked Langa's limbs, but as the Scorptix lunged, smashing a building in its fury, primal instinct kicked in. He scrambled away, the earth trembling with each monstrous thud. For now, he'd escaped the Dynix and its master, but as he dared a cautious glance back, a voice, soft yet insistent, sliced through the silence.
"Feminine Voice: Put on the Dominator and summon your Dynix."
Langa whipped his head around, heart hammering against his ribs. The voice, undeniably feminine, echoed eerily, sending shivers down his spine. He couldn't place its origin, the sound swirling around him like a desert wind.
Gripping the Dominator tighter, he peeked around the corner, his gaze scanning the dusty alleyway for any sign of the speaker.
Only the sight of the monstrous scorpion and Calnor met his eyes as he watched the beast crash through buildings looking for him. Hesitantly, he turned back, the metallic hum of the Dominator a constant thrum in his palm. But the silence that followed the voice was even more unsettling. Where had it come from? Who was watching him? The unease gnawed at him, adding another layer of dread to the already perilous situation.
"Langa: Huh? Who tha- Who's there?"
Ducking into the shadows of a building, he hushed his voice to a whisper, wary of both Calnor and his Scorptix. His gaze darted nervously around him, his hand gripping the Dominator tightly. Every creak and groan of the aging structure sent shivers down his spine, fueling his need to remain unseen.
"Feminine voice: I am E.v.a, an advanced battle/guidance system within the device known as an Dominator, which you are currently holding in your hand. I am apart of the Dominator's main systems and I am the primary battle system as well. I wish to help you as you are my new master."
A jolt of surprise ran through Langa, who instinctively held his breath. He clamped a hand over his mouth, eyes widening as he stared at the imposing Dominator. Furrowing his brow in confusion, he shifted his gaze back and forth between the machine and something just beyond it.
Suddenly, a holographic shimmer materialized, revealing a miniature woman – E.v.a. – suspended within.
Short, platinum blonde hair, fluffy and untamed, framed her face. Her eyes shone with a light pinkish-red hue, mirrored by the shade of her peach lipstick. Her skin was a rich ebony brown, a stark contrast to the stark white visor that covered her eyes. A skin-tight purple bodysuit, adorned with intricate tech patterns, hugged her form closely, stopping just above her chest. Over this, she sported a cropped, black waistcoat, its sleeves absent. Violet boots completed her attire.
Langa's head spun. First, the discovery of the Dominator, then a "Dynix Controller" out for his blood, and now an enigmatic A.I. woman speaking directly to him? Sensory overload threatened to drown him. Yet, amidst the chaos, a metallic grip clamped onto his left arm – the Dominator activating.
Langa instinctively raised his arm, inspecting the device. No clasp, no seam, just cold metal seemingly fused to his flesh. Panic clawed at him. He tugged, but it wouldn't budge. The Dominator was one with him, and the unsettling truth settled in: escape was impossible.
"Langa: Guess I'm stuck with this thing...Well ain't this a bitch. Also, who tha hell're you? Apart of the system? How will you help me? And watcha mean "new" master?"
Bewilderment etched itself onto Langa's face, mirroring the whirlwind in his mind. The A.I.'s words bounced around his skull, leaving him teetering on the edge of comprehension. Every twitch of his brow, every dart of his eyes towards the Dominator, betrayed his desperate search for answers. His thoughts raced – 100 miles per hour? More like a panicked stampede. But before the silence could stretch on any longer, E.v.a cut through his confusion, her reply reaching out to her enigmatic master.
"E.v.a: I am programmed to guide the wearer of this Dominator, which is you master, on their journey to become the king of beasts. And your DNA sequence has now been programmed into the systems of the Dominator, which means you are my new master. Now, listen to what I say, and you'll survive to fight another day. Is that understood master?"
Unsure, Langa hesitantly faced the A.I. Given the circumstances, with E.v.a. as his only lifeline back home, he had little choice. He muttered a reluctant agreement, a low groan escaping his lips as he acknowledged his dependence on the machine.
"Langa: Tch! Fine. Wait a minute, what in the hell am I supposed ta do about that big bastard Calnor and his big ass monster of a bug? That thing can kill me with one swipe of those pincers."
Calnor and his monstrous Scorptix continued their rampage, Langa's hand outstretched in their direction.
A tense silence stretched as E.v.a computed the answer to her master's query, her processors whirring thoughtfully.
After a moment, she finally spoke, her voice calm and measured despite the chaos unfolding before them.
"E.v.a: Press the silver button on the Dominator, then a blue and black device will eject from the device on your waist."
Langa obeyed, his gloved hand trembling as he pressed the activation button. The machine on his wrist pulsed with a sapphire light, then hissed open, ejecting a cylindrical device skyward. With a practiced flick of his wrist, Langa snagged the device in mid-air.
"Langa: What is this thing E.v.a? Why does it look like a tube?"
Confusion furrowed Langa's brow as he scratched his head.
The cylindrical object clutched in his hand defied understanding.
Its sleek silver and black exterior was accented by menacing blue edges, resembling the maw of a primeval predator.
Emblazoned upon its surface were the ominous words "Tyrant King," accompanied by a snarling T-Rex graphic. Each detail offered a clue, yet the object's true purpose remained bafflingly out of reach.
"E.v.a: Those are Dyna-Cores, Master. They're essential tools for all Controllers, used to capture and house their Dynix companions. Imagine them as sturdy, lightweight capsules, launched from Dominators to unleash the power within. Each Dyna-Core bears the Dynix's image and species name, a constant reminder of the unique bond they share."
Langa's grip tightened around the Dyna-Core, his knuckles white against the cool metal. He couldn't tear his eyes away from it, the weight of its potential pressing down on him.
Suddenly, both Calnor and his hulking Scorptix whipped their heads in his direction. The beast roared, a tremor that shook the very ground, its eyes locking onto Langa, instantly alerting its master to his presence.
A cruel smile twisted Calnor's lips as he scanned the buildings lining the street, his gaze lingering on each potential hiding place. He knew Langa was trapped, and a thrill of anticipation danced in his chest. The prey was cornered, the hunt about to begin.
"Calnor: There's no use in hiding kid, if you wish to survive in this tournament, you must win many Controller Battles, so you must face me and win! Only men can survive in this harsh environment, no children will survive!"
A jolt of adrenaline shot through Langa as he spun, following the thunderous roar of the Scorptix. There, framed against the dying light, stood the monstrous Alien, flanked by his ever-present Scorptix. Both radiated malice, their forms a chilling tableau against the fading sun.
Langa loathed being backed into a corner. His mind, usually a whirlwind of possibilities, was now consumed by a singular, desperate question: survival. The beast loomed large, a colossus of unimaginable power. How, in the seven hells, could he even hope to prevail? The answer, as elusive as smoke, mocked him from the depths of his churning mind. Yet, even amidst the dread, a flicker of defiance ignited within him. He wouldn't go down without a fight.
"Langa: Alright. What do I do, E.v.a? What should I do?!"
A guttural yell ripped from his throat, echoing in the arena. A stark fork in the road lay before him: fight in this tournament of beasts, the only path back to his world, or abandon everything and flee.
Doubt gnawed at him, a whirlwind of thoughts swirling in his head. Yet, survival burned brightest amidst the chaos. He had to win, to cling to the fragile thread of life, even if it meant carving his victory from the very bones of his opponent.
E.v.a's response, whatever it may be, would hang heavy in the air, pregnant with the weight of his decision.
"E.v.a: Raise the Dominator high into the air! Insert the Dyna-Core and press the red button to launch the Dyna-Core as you command whatever is inside to come out and attack!"
The Scorptix loomed, a monstrous silhouette against the battlefield. Glowing red organs pulsed on its head, mimicking the malevolent embers in its eyes. A deafening screech tore through the air as its massive pincers clashed with bone-chilling fury.
Undeterred, Calnor marched forward, a predatory glint in his blue eyes that mirrored the fiery glow in his Scorptix's gaze.
Driven by a silent understanding, Langa obeyed the command of E.v.a. With a swift movement, he raised his Dominator, the Dyna-Core slamming into its socket with a decisive click.
"Langa: ALL RIGHT?! IT'S FIGHTIN' TIME! SO WHATEVER THE HELL IS INSIDE THIS DAMNED THING GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE AND ATTACK THAT BIG ASS BUG RIGHT NOW?!"
Langa's yell became one with the roar of the Dyna-Core as it rocketed skyward. A vibrant blue light pulsed from the spinning orb, intensifying with each rotation.
A hurricane of wind, unleashed by the Dyna-Core, forced Langa to shield his eyes. When he dared to peek through the swirling chaos, a sight burned itself onto his retinas, forever altering his reality.
From the Dominator, a colossal beast, conjured from pure energy, materialized high above.
The very ground trembled beneath Langa's feet, fracturing as molten lava bubbled forth. Pillars of fire erupted around him, momentarily sending him airborne. High above, the colossal being roared, a raw, untamed force. Then, with a deafening clang, the Dominator blared to life.
"Dyna-Core insertion complete. Commence DNA fusion! Tyrannoblaze Dynalize!"
The device whirred as the energy before it coalesced into the unmistakable form of a Dinosaur. The same image flickered on the screen before a bone-shaking roar erupted from within the device. A blue and white aura pulsed outwards, then a searing red beam shot skyward, revealing the Dyna-Core. Light danced around the Core, solidifying into a colossal creature before crashing to the ground in a burst of energy.
"Kssh! Booom!"
Langa instinctively shielded his eyes from the blinding light. As it subsided, he cautiously opened them, his heart pounding. Beside him, something immense had materialized from the dust. He had no idea what he had unleashed, but a deafening roar soon answered his unspoken question.
"Chaaaaaaar!"
A tremor shook the earth as a colossal beast emerged from the shadows. Its massive, scaled body pulsed with an inner light, casting dancing blue motes into the air. With a whip-crack of its tail, the air vibrated with a deep, primal growl. The creature, reptilian and proud, locked eyes with the Scorptix.
Combustible drool dripped from its maw, igniting in small, eerie flames as the otherworldly light faded. Beneath its sleek, muscular frame, power coiled and uncoiled with every twitch. Though feathers, thick and downy, blanketed its upper body, traditional scales protected its limbs, underbelly, and face. A striking white ruff, reminiscent of a regal lion's mane, flowed down its neck and back, forming a smooth coat of feathers.
But it was the face that truly captivated. Reptilian, yes, but with intelligence burning in its eyes, eyes that spoke of countless battles and hard-won victories. Razor-sharp teeth gleamed in a vicious snarl, while atop its massive head, a crown of vibrant yellow feathers stood defiant.
This creature was more than just muscle and might; it was a warrior, forged in the fires of conflict, with a mind as sharp as its claws.

Dust swirled into the air as he brushed it aside, his hand trembling. His eyes fell upon a sight that stopped his breath and sent a wave of icy fear crashing through him. There, towering before him, was a creature from nightmares: a dinosaur. Not just any dinosaur, but a colossal T-Rex, unlike any he'd ever seen in history books. Its immense form, easily twenty meters long and six meters tall, filled him with a primal dread. It was as if time itself had warped, spitting him into a prehistoric hellscape.
"E.v.a: Tyrannoblaze! The Undisputed Tyrant of Virantis! A beast from an unknown land somewhere on Virantis, known as the Undisputed Tyrant of the land for its immense presence on Virantis. Among all the species of Dynix, there's one species that stands out from all the others, the ultra rare Tyrannoblaze. They are the ultimate fire type Dynix. They're the generals to a Controller's Dynix. Extremely loyal, faithful and cleverer than your average Dynix,"
E.v.a's command hung in the air. Langa glanced between the menacing Scorptix and its master, then down at his own newly acquired Tyrannoblaze. The beasts mirrored their masters, growls rumbling in their throats, tense muscles twitching, waiting for the first move.
A surge of adrenaline coursed through Langa as the reality of his command hit him. He controlled this powerful creature, this "Dynix" as E.v.a called it. With newfound confidence, he raised his Dominator towards the Dynix, the gaze of his beast locking with the Scorptix across the battlefield. Their clash was imminent, and Langa, with his finger hovering over the trigger, was ready.
"Langa: Alright! Let's go...Yeah this guy needs a name....Now what do I call him....It has to be a cool name too.....That's it! Ripper! I'll call you Ripper! Now, go rip up that giant bug!"
A startled cry escaped Langa's lips as his Dominator flared blue, momentarily illuminating the scene. In response, the Tyrannoblaze's eyes ignited with an eerie golden glow, followed by a bone-chilling roar. It charged headfirst towards the colossal Scorptix, leaving Calnor speechless in its wake.
He thought the species was wiped out during the Dynix War centuries ago, the last living member died 18 years ago, this species was thought to be nothing but legend. Now, one stood before him, alive and magnificent.
The Scorptix, unfazed by the display, let out a thunderous roar of its own, accepting the challenge. The ground trembled as the two behemoths collided, unleashing a shockwave that sent debris flying from the surrounding buildings. The Tyrannoblaze, its nostrils flaring, snorted out a plume of air, the impact echoing through the ravaged cityscape.
"Calnor: Alright kid! Let's go?! Get'em Scorptix! Caliber Slash?!"
With a thunderous bellow, the colossal scorpion erupted in emerald fury. Its pincers pulsed with menacing light as it launched itself skyward, spinning like a deadly whirlwind. The Scorptix's claws became beacons of green energy, forming an X-shape as it unleashed a devastating blast at the Tyrannoblaze.
Langa, despite the chaos, felt a tug of familiarity, a flicker of recognition amidst the carnage. It was faint, but undeniable.
Ignoring the Scorptix's desperate attack, the monstrous Tyrannoblaze swatted its defenses aside with a casual swipe. Then, in a brutal display of dominance, it clamped its powerful jaws onto the Scorptix's arm, eliciting a spray of acrid green blood.
Razor-sharp teeth raked through the Scorptix's flesh, drawing even more of the noxious fluid. Through Calnor, the Dynix's agony resonated, yet its determination remained unbroken. With a defiant roar, the scorpion retaliated, unleashing a geyser of toxic sludge from its remaining pincer, aiming to blind its reptilian adversary.
"Calnor: Listen up Kid! You're not gonna win this fight if you don't get better! Now go Scorptix?! Caliber Strike?!"
Fury contorted Calnor's face as an unseen energy crackled around his Scorptix. A blinding flash of yellow erupted in front of the creature, momentarily turning night into day. With a defiant snarl, the Scorptix launched itself at its opponent. A swirling vortex of light, violet at its core and rimmed with streaks of electric yellow, materialized around its body. The Scorptix struck the Tyrannoblaze with earth-shattering force, the impact sending the colossal theropod careening into a building with a bone-jarring crunch.
Dust engulfed Langa, forcing him to shield his eyes. The air hung thick with the acrid scent of burnt metal and ozone. He coughed, struggling to see through the swirling haze, the monstrous clash echoing in his ears.
"Langa: Dammit dammit dammit?! We gotta win if we wanna survive this! Ripper get up please!"
Langa yelled as the Tyrannoblaze roared in confusion, standing up slowly as his yellow eyes glowed blue for a second, before he found himself blinded by the sludge. Langa was surrounded by the sludge as well, and he struggled to try and see where the Scorptix was as the sludge was like acid on the ground.
Calnor laughed loudly as his Scorptix's roar echoed throughout the city as steam was rising off the ground.
"Calnor: Tell me kid. Do you know how to have your Dynix use one of its moves???"
Langa's body tensed up. His mind raced to find an answer, but he instinctively responded.
"Langa: No I don't?! You already know I'm a newbie at this?!?!"
Calnor, a sly grin plastered across his face, tapped a button on his Dominator. A chilling screech, the unmistakable cry of his Scorptix, pierced through the steam billowing from the earth. Langa, apprehension gnawing at his gut, braced himself for the unknown. He had no clue what Calnor was plotting, but he steeled his resolve, focusing intently on the sounds around him.
Suddenly, amidst the swirling fog, the rapid thump of heavy footsteps echoed from behind. Monstrously large. Langa and his Tyrannoblaze whipped their heads to the right, their movements mirroring each other. The colossal theropod charged forward, its tail whipping through the air – only to meet empty space.
Bewilderment contorted Langa's face. He could have sworn the tremors originated from there. But before he could ponder further, the Tyrannoblaze was struck on the jaw from the left by a pincer-tipped appendage emerging from the mist. The Scorptix!
Calnor's laughter boomed through the fog, a chilling melody to Langa's ears. This tactic, he knew, was second nature to his Scorptix, one it had honed long before Langa's arrival on this mysterious planet. With a malicious glint in his eyes, Calnor retreated backwards, swallowed by the swirling mist.
The theropod lunged forward, snapping its jaws at the pincer once more. But the Scorptix, its task complete, vanished back into the opaque veil, leaving Langa gnashing his teeth in frustration.
"Langa: Dammit?! This thing ain't goin down without a real fight?! Calnor this is cheatin'! You big punk! Fight like a man?!"
A primal scream ripped from Langa's throat, only to be swallowed by Calnor's booming laughter. The Scorptix, a blur of fangs and fury, snapped its jaws mere inches from his face. But within its gnashing attack, Langa saw a fleeting window. His Tyrannoblaze, in a desperate lunge, momentarily exposed the creature's neck.
This brief glimpse sparked a new plan in Langa's mind. He scanned their surroundings, eyes landing on a massive, shattered shard of a building. A gasp escaped his lips, and he whipped around to face his unlikely ally. "Listen closely" he urged, his voice tight with urgency. The next words held the key to their survival, and perhaps, a chance to turn the tide of this brutal fight.
"Langa: Ripper! Use your fire breath to clear the fog! Then use your tail to slam that piece of the building onto the Scorptix!"
Langa's finger stabbed towards the debris, his voice sharp with command. The Tyrannoblaze rumbled to life, sucking in a massive gulp of air before unleashing a torrent of azure flames. The flames carved through the swirling mist, barely missing the Scorptix as the enormous Theropod huffed and finished its fiery breath. It lumbered closer, using its powerful tail to whip the debris skyward in a single, fluid motion. Before it could fall, the tail slammed against it again, hurling the massive chunk through the fog like a catapult.
Calnor, with the reflexes honed by a life of danger, spotted the projectile instantly. He barked a command, and his Dynix spat a venomous jet of acid, dissolving the debris in a hiss and sizzle before it could cause harm. But the threat wasn't over. A flash of movement at the edge of his vision caught the young man's attention. The Scorptix, guarding its master fiercely, whipped its tail around, stinger poised to strike. Calnor's voice boomed again, urging his Dynix to action as the two creatures prepared for another clash.
"Langa: Ripper! Behind you!"
A desperate cry tore from Langa's throat as his Tyrannoblaze whipped around. The colossal rock scorpion, its segmented body gleaming like obsidian, had raised its barbed tail, ready to unleash its venomous fury.
With lightning reflexes, the Tyrannoblaze danced out of the way, its razor-sharp teeth sinking into the scorpion's tail with a sickening crunch. A jolt of agony shot through Calnor, the Scorptix's master, mirroring the pained roar that erupted from his Dynix as the creature writhed in response.
"Calnor: Dammit?! He finally got me! Looks like I was right about this kid....I'm definitely gonna have to teach him how to finish a battle quickly!"
In a reunion marked by fire and fury, Calnor and Langa locked eyes. Grinning fiercely, they witnessed their beasts rise from the swirling steam. Langa's Tyrannoblaze blazed with blue flames surrounding him, flames crackling, while Calnor's Scorptix whipped the air with its powerful tail, a sandstorm swirling around it.
A deafening bellow erupted from the Tyrannoblaze, answered by the Scorptix's shrill screech. Their Controllers roared commands, urging the beasts onward, a clash inevitable.
Just before the Rock Scorpion's tail lashed out, Langa barked a cry, his Dynix expertly maneuvering the Tyrannoblaze into a dodge. With lightning reflexes, the fire beast clamped onto the scorpion's tail, its teeth scraping against the rock-hard armor.
With a powerful heave, Langa flung his arm skyward, mirroring the motion with his Dynix. The Scorptix spun wildly, caught in the fire beast's grip. Then, a downward swipe, a thunderous impact - the Tyrannoblaze slammed the scorpion down, the ground erupting in a crater. The battle cry was cut short, replaced by a sickening thud as the Tyrannoblaze ripped the scorpion's tail clean off.
This caused the Scorptix and Calnor a lot of pain as the stump where its tail was now gushing with green blood as the Tyrannoblaze swung his tail, striking the rock scorpion and sending it sliding backwards.
Then, Langa gave another order, calling for the Tyrannoblaze to then use his flames again, causing the fire Dynix to ignite the coat of feathers adorning his back as the beast bellowed loudly before rushing the Rock Scorpion and slammed the beast away with a tail strike.
Langa knew that the massive insect couldn't try this again, so he pointed towards Calnor and his Scorptix.
"Langa: Alright!! You see Calnor, I'm not some kid?! We are gonna win this fight! I will survive this fight! Time to finish it Ripper!"
A deafening roar echoed as the Tyrannoblaze launched itself at the Scorptix, flames spewing from its maw. Langa's orders rang clear, his voice echoing Calnor's own growing confidence. The Rock Scorpion, its obsidian carapace glinting in the inferno, acknowledged its controller with a silent nod. Calnor met Langa's gaze, a broad smile splitting his Kylosian features.
Pride bloomed in Calnor's chest. He watched, enthralled, as Langa and the Tyrannoblaze moved in unison, their attacks flowing seamlessly. Each synchronized maneuver elicited a brighter smile from Calnor. In the fiery dance of battle, he saw a reflection: a man mirroring Langa's confidence, his eyes burning with the same unwavering resolve.
Calnor knew he wasn't facing just another human, but a kindred spirit, a future king of beasts. This realization ignited a fire within him, his own pride soaring alongside the blaze of the Tyrannoblaze.
The silence broke as E.v.a spoke again.
"E.v.a: Now! It is time to use one of your Strike-Core Master!!"
The A.I said as Langa looked at his Dominator.
He scratched his head as he heard a massive explosion go off in front of him, Langa scratched his head more as he looked at his Dominator.
"Langa: Strike-Core? The hell issa Strike-Core??"
The A.I quickly explained.
"E.v.a: A Strike-Core, is one of many techniques that can be seen on the Dominator's screen, each can boost your Dynix's attack and defense, as well as unleash a special attack that can give you a huge advantage in battle! As the one who is destined to fight for the title and throne to be the King of Beasts, you'll have to train your Tyrannoblaze to master your Strike-Core and to create your own signature move!"
Langa focused intently on his Dominator, his eyes flickering across the screen before he pressed a button. A holographic display sprang to life, showcasing eight different techniques for his Tyrannoblaze. Only one technique was highlighted at first.
Suddenly, an object shot through the air. With a powerful leap, Langa snatched the cylinder mid-flight. Simultaneously, his Tyrannoblaze unleashed a mighty shove, forcing the Scorptix to stagger back. As the enemy faltered, Tyrannoblaze delivered a crushing blow with its tail, the impact echoing through the air.
"Langa: Hmm, so what is this thing? Does this thing activate the Strike-Core? How do I use this thing E.v.a??"
Langa shielded his eyes as the Dyna-Core in his palm pulsed with an intensity that rivaled a miniature sun. The azure brilliance momentarily blinded him, forcing him to raise a protective arm. But amidst the blinding light, an answering luminescence flared from his Tyrannoblaze.
The once emerald eyes of the beast now burned a startling sapphire, mirroring the flames now raging hotter within its maw. It was then, amidst this mesmerizing display of synchronized power, that the A.I's voice pierced the silence...
"E.v.a: To properly use a Strike-Core, you must first press the blue icon at the bottom right of the screen of your Dominator, then a holo screen will appear, it will display the current Strike-Core your Tyrannoblaze should have unlocked, after seeing a Strike-Core press the icon of the Strike-Core then insert the Dyna-Core into the bio chamber!!"
Eyes snapping open, Langa saw his Dynix pulsing with energy, obeying the command E.v.a gave instantly. But before he could react, the monstrous Scorptix let out a deafening bellow, spewing another torrent of acid. This time, though, the attack was aimed directly at Langa.
Bracing for impact, Langa found himself shielded by an unexpected barrier. His Dynix, the colossal dinosaur, had conjured a wall of flames, effortlessly vaporizing the acid. Enraged, the Scorptix unleashed a barrage of acidic blasts, met only by the unwavering blaze.
With a final roar, the Dynix lowered its shield, its gaze locked on its master. In its eyes, Langa saw a burning desire to end this fight. A grin spread across his face as he channeled his Strike-Core, summoning a swirling vortex of wind that engulfed the Tyrannoblaze. Soon, the creature was cloaked in a wall of blue flames, its own earth-shaking roar drowned out by the inferno erupting from its maw.
"Langa: Time to finish this, Ripper! Volcano Crusher!"
A surge of power coursed through Langa as he jammed the Strike-Core into the slot. The Tyrannoblaze roared in response, flames erupting from his jaws as he charged towards the Scorptix. His entire body glowed sapphire blue, fueled by the unleashed energy.
Calnor mirrored the movement, his own Scorptix turning to meet the challenge. But the empowered Dynix proved unstoppable, its powerful slam sending the scorpion skidding across the ground. Painful shrieks from both Controller and Dynix filled the air as the Scorptix slammed into a building, spewing debris.
Unrelenting, the Tyrannoblaze spun and attacked again, teeth tearing into the scorpion's side. The rock beast roared in agony, lashing out with its pincers only to be lifted into the air by the Dynix's mighty jaws. A thunderous crash echoed as the scorpion collided with another building, dust and embers billowing upwards.
Langa watched, a predatory gleam in his eyes, as the Dynix dominated the fight. Blood, emerald green and viscous, dripped from the scorpion's wounds. Finally, the Dynix released its grip, sinking its fangs into the scorpion's armor one last time before stepping back.
Calnor, hidden beneath his hood, smiled grimly. He unclipped his own Dyna-Core, a new glint in his eyes. He raised it, aiming at his wounded beast...
"Calnor: Looks like you were right Demetrious, he really is going to take your place as the King of Beasts. He's the spitting image of you....my old friend."
Hidden beneath the concealing fabric of the hood, only the frantic sway of his tail betrayed his nervousness.
His heart hammered a wild rhythm against his ribs, each beat urging him forward. A mumbled phrase, barely a breath, escaped his lips, lost in the press of the moment.
"Calnor: Looks like my godson isn't that same little kid anymore....I'm definitely gonna have to teach him how to be a master Dynix Controller the next time we meet!"
Calnor's gaze darted to the boy, whose eyes flared wide once more. The image of the man from their past flickered before him as he witnessed Langa petting his Tyrannoblaze. Tears welled up, prompting Calnor to hide his face. It wasn't anger at his defeat that fueled his emotions, but rather a surge of pride. The little human boy he'd nurtured on Earth had blossomed into a capable young man and a true Dynix Controller.
Calnor activated his Dominator, and the words "Preliminary selection match: Complete" blazed across the screen, stark and undeniable. He knew this was merely a stepping stone for Langa, but with the gravity of the upcoming tournament pressing down, he needed to ignite a fire within his godson. Langa had to be prepared for the battles ahead.
As Calnor approached Langa, his Tyrannoblaze stepped forward, the imposing form of the beast a barrier between them. But Calnor's smile remained unfazed. He reached out, gently placing a hand on the beast's powerful nose. The tension eased, replaced by a silent understanding between men.
"Calnor: Nice battle, Langa! You've fought harder than I expected you would have. And for that I can say I'm glad to have fought you. And since you won our battle, I'll tell you whatever you want to know about this tournament, planet and your place in it."
Several days after Calnor, an aged Kylosian, began revealing the secrets of this strange world, the tournament, and Langa's purpose, he deemed it time to depart. Bidding the young man farewell, Calnor gifted him empty Dyna-Cores, some money, and a knowing smile. He saw not just a capable fighter, but the son of his dearest human friend, deserving of his watchful eye.
Langa watched as Calnor soared away on another Dynix. Settling under a tree, he accessed his Dominator, studying the Scorptix's data. This rock/bug type Dynix was neutral to fire. Suddenly, a roar of victory shattered the silence. He looked up to see his own beast, the Tyrannoblaze, triumphant against the sky.
As the Tyrannoblaze approached, Langa, despite controlling it, couldn't help but step back warily. He remembered the sight of green blood staining the theropod's teeth, it was a stark reminder of the wild nature of his beast. Langa, understandably, remained cautious.
"E.v.a: Do not be alarmed, Master."
E.v.a said again. Langa looked towards the Dominator.
The hologram of E.v.a appeared again, she bowed to her master before explaining further.
"Langa: Eva, I have a question. How do you know me and how on earth did I get on this..hold up, where the hell am I? I know this isn't the Earth, and thanks to Calnor, I know this planet is called Virantis, but exactly what planet is this?"
Perplexed, Langa turned to the A.I., his bewilderment evident. Not only was his location a complete mystery, but the recent duel between a dinosaur and a colossal scorpion defied all rational explanation.
Stepping out from the shade of the tree, he glanced down at his Dominator, the holographic form of E.v.a flickering to life as her voice filled the air.
"E.v.a: Well, I am the EXtractor Virtual Assistant, or E.v.a for short. I am an Artificial Intelligence program that has been installed onto this Dominator that is now fused to your left arm. I was programmed to become your personal battle assistant and to guide you on your journey across the Planet known as Virantis. A massive Super Earth-like planet. I was installed onto this special Dominator known as the Dominator by the famous scientist named Ricardo "Golden" Rivera, your Uncle by birth, before he went missing. He programmed me to assist you, Langa Obasi Rivera, son of Demetrius Obasi and Rosa Rivera, to become the future King of Beasts."
Langa's eyebrow lifted with Eva's explanation, the booming tremor of approaching Tyrannoblaze footsteps shaking the very ground. He glanced at his own Dynix, panting and scarred, the exhaustion evident. The aftermath of Calnor's departure was clear; once vibrant mega screens now stood rusting and shattered, the surrounding area devoid of life.
Shifting his gaze to the Dominator, Langa witnessed a video unfold on its screen. A map flickered to life, showcasing the unfamiliar landmass he stood upon, its diverse environments laid bare.
This soon dissolved, replaced by vibrant street scenes bustling with local and international businesses.
Finally, the camera soared upwards, offering a breathtaking bird's-eye view of an enormous pink-roofed stadium, dwarfing everything else in sight.
"Langa: King of the Beasts? What does that even mean? And what's my uncle got to do with this? And how do you know he's missing? It's been years since he vanished."
Langa's voice held a mix of confusion and emotion as he grappled with the revelations. A few tears escaped his eyes as he thought of his uncle, but he quickly composed himself and turned his attention back to the hologram, where E.v.a awaited his questions.
"E.v.a: I understand, my young master. Your uncle programmed me long ago, with the mission of guiding you to fulfill your potential. His sudden disappearance was a mystery, but he had prepared for such an eventuality. He assigned me a new master and a new mission: to assist Langa Obasi in his conquest of Virantis and his quest to become 'The King of Beasts,' a mighty and powerful Dynix Controller."
Langa looked up as he was thinking about what E.v.a is saying.
"E.v.a: And to answer your second question: The King of Beasts exists to create order and balance for all Dynix and controllers alike. And that is who YOU are destined to be, my young master. You and the Tyrannoblaze you have now named "Ripper" must battle every single other candidate on Virantis to become the last man standing and claim the title and throne as the new King of Beasts."
Langa's smile broadened as he thought of his uncle's trust in him, the responsibility he had been given with the Dominator. He turned his attention to the Tyrannoblaze, who was crouched down, eyeing him curiously. Their gazes locked, a silent exchange passing between them.
Though the Tyrannoblaze uttered no words, nor could it speak the language of humans, it understood the significance of the human before it. The beast snorted, embers of flames flickering in its breath.
Observing this, Langa extended his hand and gently touched the Tyrannoblaze's nose. The touch was warm, comforting, and it seemed to resonate with the creature. In response, the beast emitted a low growl.
Despite the intimidating sound, Langa felt an unspoken understanding between them. With E.v.a's words echoing in his mind, he was certain the Tyrannoblaze meant him no harm.
With a smile, Langa continued to rub the creature's nose affectionately, feeling a sense of connection and trust growing between them.
"E.v.a: You mustn't dawdle, my young master. From this moment on, you and all the Dynix you will encounter are now part of the next big battle to decide the next King of Beasts!"
E.v.a urged. Langa looked up, and though he felt a bit of confusion was still present, he knew that E.v.a was somehow correct.
He then heard a 'chime' sound coming from his Dominator. He looked at it, lifting his arm as he looked at the device, and then lifted it up into the air.
Suddenly, the Tyrannoblaze's eyes flashed a deep blue before bellowing loudly, the theropod was breathing heavily as its body was losing the glow.
Langa shielded his ears as he was shocked by this sudden action.
"Langa: What is it Ripper? Tch?! Is it another Dynix?!?!?!"
Langa said as he looked at the massive Theropod.
"E.v.a: Master, it appears that it is time for Ripper to return to his Dyna-Core, once a Dynix has been captured within a Dyna-Core, the beast must return to their Core in order to properly heal up. In order to make your Dynix return to his Dyna-Core, just say "return!" while you point the Core towards him."
Langa looked at the virtual model of E.v.a and then back at his Tyrannoblaze.
He then looked at the Dyna-Core in his hands, seeing the edges of the small cylinder glowing a bright blue, he then pointed it at his Tyrannoblaze.
"Langa: Uh...Ripper....return?"
As Langa called his name, the Tyrannoblaze's eyes flashed a deep blue color as the beast bellowed loudly, the top of the Dyna-Core opened as the Tyrannoblaze soon ran towards his controller, Langa flinched as he held up the Dyna-Core while shielding himself from the attack he thought was coming as the Tyrannoblaze jumped at him and shrink in size as he got closer.
Before the beast got any closer, he became a stream of blue energy as he was being absorbed into the Dyna-Core.
Langa looked at the screen on his Dominator, he saw the image of his Tyrannoblaze just before the screen showed the health bar of his Dynix filling back up, he looked at it, seeing what looked to be blue energy inside the Dyna-Core.
"Langa: Uh? E.v.a.....What's this energy inside the Dyna-Core? Is it Ripper?"
Once Langa asked this question, he turned to his Dominator, seeing E.v.a materialize before speaking.
"E.v.a: Master, that is indeed your Tyrannoblaze, he has returned to the Dyna-Core, which enables him to heal from his injuries and keep him safe."
Now inside, Langa smiled as the silver and black Dyna-Core had turned a dark blue within the center, indicating that the Core was in use, Langa then put the Dyna-Core inside the X-Core as it locked into the place.
"E.v.a: Now, my young master! You have MUCH to do...."
The A.I's voice said, as Langa looked at the Scorptix's detached and bloody tail, he soon turned to the horizon. There were many roars of other beasts in the distance, and he narrowed his eyes, clenching his hand.
"Langa: Well, Ripper....This is it, bud."
Langa said to the Dynix within the Core, even though he wasn't sure his Tyrannoblaze could hear.
"Langa: I don't know how I got wrapped up in this tournament, or how I got here, but if I'm here to fight, then I'll win, I'll do my best to win. But I NOW know why I have you by my side."
He spoke with determination as he stared into the distance.
Langa then pulled his Core-Holder from his waist and stared at the Dyna-Core that contained his new partner and nodded. He was confused as to why he was brought here, even why he was given such a powerful ally in his new Tyrannoblaze. But after the battle with Calnor and his Scorptix, his purpose became clear!
This is who they are!
To be continued....
