"Are you afraid?" Clay asked as he saw Edsel's terrified face. He then moved towards Edsel, who was on the floor continuously moving backwards. But Clay was persistent; he kept closing the gap between them.
As Edsel moved backwards, Clay persistently moved forward until Edsel became incapable of moving backward due to the door behind him.
He turned and saw the door, which made him sweat in terror. On the other hand, Clay stopped three steps away from Edsel, squatted, and gazed towards him. "Are you from Earth?" he asked.
"He knows?" Edsel asked inwardly.
"Yes, I know," hearing this made Edsel even more terrified.
"Hahaha, don't be frightened. I'm on your side," looking at the craven young man, Clay attempted to lighten the mood. However, despite this, Edsel's fearful expression didn't subside.
Clay then stood up and turned his back as he walked slowly. A door slowly appeared facing his front direction; it was first illusionary until it became apparent.
Before he opened the door, he turned his head slightly and said while his chin showed, "Y'know, you'll die if you stay here." After saying this, he opened the door and left.
On the other hand, Edsel, who was confused, was left stunned and staring blankly. "What's happening?" Suddenly, the door opened once again; it was Clay.
"Oy, boy, come with me. You'll die if you stay here."
Hearing the word "die" instantly made Edsel have no choice but to come; he ran forward and grabbed Clay's hand. They successfully entered together, and the door automatically closed itself.
After entering the door, they experienced freefall. As Edsel looked around, he realized that they were falling from the sky.
"Waa... Waa... Waa..." Edsel didn't hide his fright.
"This kid really has no guts," Clay thought, looking at Edsel. He then sighed.
"Whaaaaaaaaaaa!"
Before they could hit the water, a black dragon swept in and caught them smoothly.
"Thank you, Zephyr," as Clay said.
The black dragon nodded in agreement and then sped up, going high.
As the dragon flew, Edsel's fear turned into excitement. Below, a busy city full of people came into view. The houses and buildings looked like something from a fantasy game—it was awesome!
Before Edsel could scrutinize the surroundings further, a wooden door reappeared instantly, taking them to another location, cutting off Edsel's view.
"He really is just a kid," Clay pondered.
They were on top of an island, with only one house standing on the peaceful island, so tiny that even one person could hardly fit within.
They slowly landed on the peaceful island.
"Is that yours?" Edsel asked, pointing at the house.
"Yeah, my headquarters," Clay smiled as he finished his sentence.
Edsel and Clay got off the dragon. Suddenly, the dragon transformed into a man: tall, with black hair that covered his shoulders and blue sharp eyes. Sizing up the man, Edsel couldn't help but be mesmerized by his appearance.
Edsel was astonished by this good-looking man; no one would believe that he was a dragon just moments ago.
Zephyr then proceeded to walk to the house, seemingly unfazed by Edsel's gaze.
He entered the cramped house, and Edsel saw this, feeling a bit unconvinced.
However, he proceeded to walk forward. He opened the door, and the first thing that came into view was a wide sofa room, with a 19th-century rich vibe interior. There was a chandelier and a second floor. It was so tiny outside, yet the inside was so spacious.
Clay, who had been looking at Edsel's reaction, walked towards the door. He said in a commanding tone while going upstairs, "Zephyr, come on. Edsel, just familiarize yourself here, roam around." Zephyr made no reply; before he moved, he looked at Edsel and said, "Keep safe," in a serious manner.
As Edsel was confused, staring blankly, he wondered, "What does that mean?"
Looking at the backs of the two who were slowly fading, when they were finally out of his sight, he turned right where the smell of food came from.
The house was filled with an appetizing aroma, leading Edsel from one location to another. After a lot of effort, he finally found where the smell came from—the kitchen.
The kitchen was a bit spacious, with a brown wooden table standing in the middle, with five plates on its surface as if someone was about to eat. Edsel then moved his gaze towards the hotpot; he eagerly wanted to look into it and try it, yet he decided not to; he thought it might be a bit disrespectful. Thus, he moved straight into the alley, ignoring the kitchen. He continued to explore the house; from time to time, he discovered many rooms with unique designs.
After a lot of walking, he was finally tired. He sat on the sofa, and suddenly, he got alarmed. In the corner of his vision, he noticed a mirror. Since he came to this world, he hadn't seen his face even once. Today, the urge to know spiked in his heart, and for some reason, his heart raced faster than normal. He was tensed as he got up from the sofa; what should he fear?
When he finally reached the right distance, he didn't look at the mirror but rather kept his head lower, preparing himself to discover something that could tarnish his soul.
While he was looking downward, he scrutinized the surroundings when suddenly, a big egg caught his attention. This robbed Edsel's attention. "Wow, this world always has a way to shock me," he said, given that in the little amount of time, he had discovered many unbelievable things in this world.
He walked up to the egg, scrutinizing it, touching it. "Is this a dragon egg? Where's the mommy?" as he thought, he stroked the big egg again. Suddenly, it cracked.
"Shit!" he was shocked and didn't know what to do. He tried to face backward, towards the crack side, sighing from relief. Suddenly, it cracked again, and he didn't know what to do.
Before he could touch the egg again, a voice reverberated throughout the surroundings. "What are you doing to my brother?!" It came from a teenage-looking black-haired girl, seemingly the same age as him. The girl was about to cry. "A-a.. sorry, I didn't mean it," he said apologetically, and the girl just replied with a pitiful look.
Edsel then slowly moved backwards, attempting to get out when suddenly, another voice called him. "Oy, oyyy..." It was a white-haired short boy.
"You want to get past?" the boy said with a smile.
His sister looked at him. "Enzo, punish him," she said, crying.
"Look, this is the ball," as he showed it to Edsel. "The only objective you need to do is to throw it to me, and if I get hit, okay?"
Edsel nodded in fear, then grabbed the ball and positioned himself. On the other hand
