Chapter 1 - chapter 1 - Death of mother, last words, awakening

Jack Arlin woke up to the gentle chirping of birds outside his window. His eyes opened slowly, still sleepy, as he struggled to free himself from the shackles of sleep. The soft light of dawn filtered through the curtains, painting shadow patterns in the small room where he spent his nights.

Stretching his arms, Jack yawned, feeling his muscles lengthen after a restful night's sleep. He sat up in bed, his thoughts still fuzzy with sleep. Gradually, reality began to seep into his mind, bringing with it the duties of the approaching day.

Getting up, Jack walked to the window and pulled back the curtains, revealing the serene scenery before him. His small house, nestled on a quiet street in the small town, seemed to be asleep under the morning light. The enticing aroma of fresh coffee wafted from the kitchen, inviting him to start the day with a steaming cup.

Heading downstairs, Jack found his mother in the kitchen, preparing breakfast with her usual diligence. She smiled at him, her eyes tired but affectionate, reflecting the unconditional love she felt for her son.

"Good morning, dear," she greeted, handing him a cup of hot coffee. "I hope you slept well."

Jack nodded, accepting the cup gratefully. He knew it was a privilege to have such a loving and dedicated mother, and he made sure not to take it for granted.

Sitting down at the table, he savored the simple but comforting breakfast while his mother made plans for the day. She mentioned a local fair happening in the town center and suggested they go together later.

Jack readily agreed. He enjoyed these quiet moments with his mother, away from the pressures of the outside world. It was a gentle reminder that, despite the challenges he faced, there was always a safe haven for him at home.

After breakfast, Jack quickly got ready and headed off to work. He worked at a small neighborhood convenience store, where he was well known to the local residents. The work was simple but honest, and he appreciated the sense of community that came with it.

Throughout the day, Jack interacted with customers, helping them find what they needed and exchanging friendly conversations. He enjoyed the feeling of being part of the community's life, even if it was only in a small capacity.

In the afternoon, Jack took a break for lunch, sitting on a bench in the nearby park to enjoy his sandwich. As he chewed, he watched the children playing on the playground, their joyful laughter echoing through the air.

For a moment, Jack allowed himself to dream of a future beyond the narrow boundaries of his small town, a future filled with exciting adventures and discoveries. He knew there was a vast world out there, waiting to be explored, and one day he would like to see it all with his own eyes.

But for now, he was content to enjoy the small joys of everyday life, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. For he knew that, even in the simplest moments, there was beauty and meaning to be found, if only he had eyes to see.

And so, as the sun set on the distant horizon, Jack Arlin returned to the comfort of his home, grateful for the life he led and the people who shared his world.

As Jack Arlin prepared for another quiet night in his small town, a deafening roar echoed through the sky, shaking the ground beneath his feet. He grasped the edge of the kitchen table.

The world around him began to twist and distort, as if reality itself were being torn in half. The air was charged with electricity, making the hairs on the back of Jack's neck stand on end in warning. He knew, instinctively, that something terrible was happening.

A blinding flash swept across the night sky, tinting it with shades of red and orange, as the city trembled under the force of an invisible power. Jack ran to the window, watching in horror as the world around him disintegrated before his eyes.

On the distant horizon, he saw the dark outline of other planets rapidly approaching, their skies blending into a tumultuous mass of colors and shapes. It was as if the very universe itself were tearing apart, ripping the fabric of reality like paper.

As the cosmic fusion shook the city, Jack Arlin ran desperately through the house toward his mother's room. His heart raced in his chest as he struggled to stay calm in the face of the chaos unfolding around him.

Entering the room, he found his mother clinging to the window frame, her eyes wide with horror as she watched the cosmic cataclysm unfold before them. Jack ran to her, enveloping her in his arms with strength, seeking to offer the slightest comfort in the face of impending devastation.

"Mother, it's okay," he murmured, though his own words sounded hollow in the face of the magnitude of the tragedy surrounding them.

She turned to him, tears filling her eyes, her voice choked with fear. "Jack, what's happening? What's happening to the world?"

Jack had no answers to offer. He himself was stunned by the magnitude of the event they were witnessing. But he knew he needed to be strong, not only for himself, but also for his mother.

"I don't know, mother," he admitted, struggling to keep his voice steady. "But we'll be okay. We'll stay together."

With a deafening roar, Earth was torn from its familiar orbit, hurtling toward the turbulent chaos unfolding before it. Jack and his mother clung to the window with all their might, feeling the ground disappear beneath their feet as their house was dragged into the unknown.

Time seemed to lose all meaning, diluting into a haze of confusion and terror. Jack could barely distinguish the line between dream and reality, so surreal was the scene unfolding before him.

When the cosmic fusion finally ceased, Jack found himself standing in an unrecognizable world, surrounded by a twisted and desolate landscape. The small town where he had spent most of his life now lay in ruins, its familiar structures twisted and deformed beyond recognition.

Looking around, Jack saw other survivors emerging from the wreckage, their faces pale and shocked, reflecting the same anguish he felt. They exchanged uncertain glances, with no words to describe the magnitude of the catastrophe they had witnessed.

But the feeling of despair turned to horror when monsters emerged from the distant shadows, their grotesque and menacing forms slithering through the devastated streets. Screams echoed through the air as survivors ran in panic, trying to escape the approaching terror.

Jack gripped his mother's hand tightly, fear pulsating in his chest as they fled from the approaching monsters. He knew he needed to protect her at all costs, no matter what it took.

But in a fateful instant, one of the monsters caught up to them, its sharp claws cutting through the air with ferocity. Jack desperately tried to push it away, but it was too late. The monster attacked, its jaws closing around Jack's mother, taking her life in a terrible instant.

"Jack, my dear, I love you. Even if the world crumbles around us, I will always love you. I will always be with you, in heart and soul. Live with courage, my son, and never lose hope thank you for being my light." Elizabeth Arlin.

The world around Jack seemed to slow down as he watched, powerless, as his mother's life was taken. Her last words echoed in his ears, a final lament of love and farewell that struck him like a knife in the heart.

Amidst the agony of loss, a primal fury ignited within Jack, a burning flame that blazed fiercer than anything he had ever experienced. His eyes, once dark, filled with an intense purple light, his expression hardening into relentless determination. Jack had Awakened.

Following the Awakening, his eyes underwent a striking change, acquiring an intense purple hue, reflecting his newfound power and connection to magic. Additionally, his black hair grew waist-length, suggesting a more wild and imposing aspect. With his unique purple eyes, he became a mysterious and enigmatic figure, capable of commanding the hidden forces that permeate the world. Those around him could feel his presence and respect his authority, for he was the embodiment of magic and the unknown. His gaze hypnotized and attracted, and his energy was palpable, as if he were a bridge between the visible and invisible realms. He was a force of nature, an entity that transcended the ordinary and defied the laws of reality. His destiny was intertwined with ancient secrets and forgotten prophecies, and he was about to unravel mysteries that would change the course of history.
