This book is set after a mass depopulation occurs. It has a futuristic setting but not sci-fi, the plot is centered more around fantasy. 

I'll take this opportunity to say "Volume 1: Unveiling's" purpose is to expose the existence of supernatural abilities to the world after the Galaxy's government have kept it in under wraps for many years, so look forward to it!

In early chapters, we won't immediately see fireballs flying around nor would we see someone splitting the sky in two with the swing of his sword. Heh, who knows? Maybe in the future¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

Next, the MC Femi Noma is portrayed as someone who can only feel 3 emotions out of the 6 primary emotions, striping him from experiencing more complex feelings and hence depriving him from an enjoyable life experience. As the synopsis said, his journey is to free himself and this is the only goal he has in his mind as of the beginning of this book.

Rest assured, this journey will be interesting and the people around him will be engaging. 

The power system is also original. It's not your usual magic and cultivation, but both of them and many more woven together! (it has it's inspirations, but you get my point.)
