The enforcers ventured deeper into the forest at a considerable speed.
On entering the border of the safe zone, the enforcers reduced their speed as they encountered a group of individuals dressed in white inmate-like clothing.
After questioning, they weren't able to find out much. Only information like the location of the exit or the fact that there was something scary making noise within the facility. The fear was believed to be exaggerated by the lots who heard because the inmates claimed that just a glance at the direction the noises came from made one shiver while making the body weaker. The members of the squadron just blamed it on a mental issue that was instilled in the victims of these circumstances.
That was only the members though. The captain of the squadron, Captain Sally, her left-hand man and her right-hand man, and the other leaders knew that they spoke the truth.
They all tried to hide their fear and worry from their underlings, but people went perfect. Their eyes all dilated and sweat filled their foreheads at the thought of entering the facility.
Out of everyone there at the moment, only the Captain could fight an Abomination, and they weren't certain she'll be successful at it If it was a normal Abomination, she might be able to, but if it was a Tethered Abomination - one with abilities, forget the facility, if the right people weren't here on time, every sentient being on this planet would be wiped.
At times, Captain Sally was so lost in thought, she forgot to reply to those who were reporting to her. Like how she didn't hear the person that called her.
"Captain... Ma'am... Ma'am..." Her left-hand man kept calling, until he eventually had to tap her.
"Sorry, what?" Captain Sally snapped back to reality.
Seeing he got her attention, the man saluted, "Reporting! We've confirmed 107 individuals that were held captive. It's said that only one of the inmates is still left in the building and during the process of escape no inmate was said to die. Only slight injuries when they all rushed towards the exit were noticed."
Captain Sally brought her hand and massaged her forehead. She sighed, "That's finally some good news I guess. We shouldn't waste too much time. We'll have to face whatever is in there now or later, no need to think too much. We don't even fully understand what's going on in the facility."
The man thought of his words carefully. Eventually, he said, "Ma'am, about that... The signal isn't picking up readings of the energy anymore."
"That..." Captain Sally blurted.
"You guessed right, Captain. Whatever contains that amount of released energy has either controlled the energy within it or it has been suddenly destroyed, hence its energy dissipating." Her left-hand man broke the news to her.
Although it was good news that an Abomination is possibly now out of the picture. But there can only be two meanings that can be derived from this. One, either the facility owners or the anonymous forces has lost the battle, giving the successful group time to seal the energy and tie down the Abomination, or two, there's someone in the facility that had the power to kill an Abomination.
"Lead me to the entrance." Captain Sally ordered.
With a group of 20 armed individuals behind her, Captain Sally was directed to where the inmates came out from. They passed where around 30 backups were dealing with all the inmates, gaining their attention.
Reaching a hatch door that led to a dark underground room, Captain Sally wore a half mask like the rest of her underlings. She gestured to those at her back to stay on guard before she jumped into the dark room.
As she jumped in, some jumped with her, while the rest climbed down with a ladder that was connected to the hatch hole.
After the first 10 followed her down, that was when she instructed, "Stay on guard. Don't falter and fear nothing, more backups are on their way. Immediately you notice anything, communicate. Now, let's go."
"Yes Ma'am!" They all said.
After getting salutes from her men, she walked towards the only door in the room - the elevator's door. As the door opened, it was big enough to fit 5 of her armed men.
She looked at the labeling of the buttons which correlated to the amount of floor. A button that looked like it was once hidden was labeled "—" while the rest were labeled 1 to 4. Didn't need to teach a professional like her how it worked.
She then split her men into four groups, each tasked with investigating one of the four floors. Captain Sally will be following the group that headed to the first floor. And they proceeded as such.
Captain Sally arrived on the first floor. The first thing in her view was a room with a table, multiple couches and other furniture; This served as the lounge for the leaders of the facility. The group searched the room, but found nothing of value.
Then, they moved to the next room through the second door that was mounted on the opposite wall.
A trashed reception-like room came into view and in the middle of the room, a girl laid.
"Check her status," She ordered.
The men carefully hopped over the counter and approached her with someone following him. Captain Sally slowly followed from behind.
With a gun pointed at her, another man turned the girl's head to face up. Her body looked dried, as if all vitality was sucked out of her.
Captain Sally reached the body, ready to hear the report.
"Yes Ma'am. This is one of the Syncro Trio, Ruth. She is dead." One of the enforcers said.
"I see..." Captain Sally hadn't even digested the fact that there were deaths here when two others of her group approached her with information the other groups had gotten from the other floors.
"Ma'am, on the last floor. The last inmate was found armed and soaked with blood. It's suspected that she killed some workers of this facility, she was found in the midst of their butchered body."
"Reporting Ma'am. A huge dead creature was found on the 3rd floor. It was perfectly cut in half. Also, on the second floor, a brain-dead traitor was found."
It didn't even end there. The person that was investigating the first floor also pointed out to her, "Ma'am, please look at the wall."
On the walls, a red colored text was painted boldly, it was still wet, evident that it was painted moments ago. It read, "Let the Crimson Tide Rush - The Hollows."
"Dang! Those bastards aren't even hiding their existen anymore." Captain Sally muttered.

After killing the useless one - Ruth, Moros left the facility, pulling his "prices", Eva and Gallagher by their hair. He walked through a wild tunnel, satisfied by the show he had just watched.
After walking for 15 minutes, he reached the end of the tunnel. At the end of the tunnel was what could be considered a huge warehouse. People moved about carrying crates and dragging some inmates into a big spacecraft that was mounted in this wide space. The main source of light in this underground tunnel was from the spacecraft's body. The workers of this worked at each of their respective corners with their masks lens serving as night goggles.
Moros jumped off the edge of the tunnel and landed firmly on the ground, but behind him, the bodies he dragged hit the floor harshly, creating a thud sound.
Everyone ignored and avoided Moros, going about their various activities, pretending he wasn't dragging two individuals like animals.
Moros walked to the one who coordinated everyone here. He threw Gallagher and Eva at the person.
"67, take care of these for me." He ordered.
"Yes Sir." 67, an individual in his early 20s who worked under Moros, responded with an exaggerated bow. After mumbling courage, he said, "Sorry for the loss sir! I take full responsibility for losing our facilities!"
Moros smirked. He patted 67's head, then said, "Moros doesn't feel sad for something so little. But you should still take responsibility though." Moros moved his hand in a swift motion, slapping 67's head off with strength that even broke his skull, causing a huge puddle of blood to spill on Moros. "You're just another failure."
Everyone tried to avert their eyes but it was too hard to not look.
Moros felt their gazes making him point and the two unconscious beings that laid on the floor, then clapped loudly to attract the attention of the workers."Say hello to my next sidemen and your new superiors, you filths. Call them 68 and 69. Hopefully, these two do better than the others and live longer." He yelled, "Round it up. We leave now."
As he finished instructing them, Moros licked the blood on his face with a satisfied smile. Those who watched him had the usual thought they had when they saw him. His title flooded all of their minds.
'Moros, the Devil's Incarnation.'
