The exterior was charming, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light and a small outdoor seating area adorned with potted plants.
"I've heard great things about this place," Vaughn said as he parked the car. "I think you'll like it."
They walked into the bistro, and a hostess greeted them with a warm smile. "Table for two?"
Vaughn nodded. "Yes, please."
The hostess led them to a corner table by the window, offering a lovely view of the street outside. Eliza took a seat, feeling a bit more at ease in the intimate setting.
The waiter soon arrived with menus, and they both took a few moments to browse the offerings. Eliza noticed a variety of dishes, from fresh salads to hearty sandwiches and elegant entrees.
"Anything catch your eye?" Vaughn asked, looking over his menu at Eliza.
Eliza smiled. "The grilled salmon salad sounds delicious."
"Good choice," Vaughn said, closing his menu. "I'll have the same."
