Johan stood tall in front of his troops. His heart was filled with a mix of dilemmas and emotions. Two of his soldiers had died in this rebellion, and although Johan had predicted the possibility, the reality still felt bitter. Johan's gaze swept over the faces of his remaining troops. Those who survived—those still standing before him—deserved a strong commander. No matter how heavy his grief felt, Johan knew he couldn't appear weak.
