'It's unfair' he thinks as he feels the world fading in a mind numbingly slow manner, almost as if to taunt him. 'Why, why me of all people', the idea that the world simply didn't enjoy his presence flashed across his mind. As to WHY he is complaining, it's quite simple. His life was simply designed to fail.
Even simply thinking of it boiled his blood. To spare the tedious specifics the reason the sickly, short and quite frankly slightly unappealing 19-year-old was complaining, was that in all endeavours of his life; nothing went his way. Be it in education, relationships, family life, career and even genetics he was in no way enviable.
Sure~ sometimes his life wasn't all that bad but even when things went seemed to be going well it was never quite what he wanted. He got into university sure, but it was a low tier one. His family relationships weren't abusive, but he was often ignored – indifference is the opposite of love, eh? He wasn't hideous by any stretch of the imagination, but he couldn't quite confidently say he was average either. He wasn't terminally ill but living a life riddled with minor chronic pain inducing conditions was no walk in the park. A lot of people could say that his life wasn't all too bad, if anything it could be seen as relatively good: fact of the matter was that for some his life would be a dream. But it would be quite difficult to argue against his initial point - 'Fuck this life, and if someone up there's watching fuck you too'.
