That must mean the the closest land to this sea was miles away from him and he was going to be swimming for a long time.
With a heavy sigh, Haze made the first stroke and began to swim in the direction.
The current was harsh and as Haze swam, he had a horrible thought.
What if the black island beast was not a land animal?
What if it was a sea monster?
It made sense, that somewhere underneath these waters, there was a beast monster, quietly waiting for whichever brave or stupid soul dared to cross into its territory.
And here he was, swimming towards it with full speed. Haze supposed there was a thin line between braveness and stupidity.
