"Ma méchante!" Sebastian called out to Aurora with great urgency in his voice. He shoved the woman away, and rushed to his wife, who stood frozen in shock.
"Ma méchante." He called once more, taking her hands in his. "It is not what you think."
"You are covered in her scent." Aurora's voice was flat as she whispered, her eyes blazing with anger, "I have caught that same revolting scent on you multiple times before."
"Your grace!" The woman, enraged by Aurora's words, screamed and stood up.
Sebastian let out a long sigh, gripping Aurora's hands more tightly. "Why are you here?"
"What is stopping you from telling her to leave us?" Aurora asked, glaring at him angrily. "Is this what you have been doing for the last two years? You have been cheating on me while I have been trying to get over our loss."
"I asked you a question." Sebastian asked, keeping his voice calm.
"Tell her to leave, or I will not hesitate to rip her head off her body." Aurora hissed, her tone heavily imbued with fury that ultimately mirrored the fury in her gaze.
Sebastian exhaled. "Leave. Right now." He addressed the woman with a commanding tone.
"Wha...?" The woman was deeply hurt. "But.. but..."
"Sophia!" Sebastian abruptly pulled Aurora's hands, jerking her towards him and away from the door.
Fearing for her life, Sophia ran out of the office without protest.
Once she was gone, Aurora tore herself away from Sebastian and landed a hard slap on his cheek.
Sebastian froze, her unexpected action causing his eyes to widen with shock.
"We lost our child, Sebastian! You must understand that I was carrying our child in my womb!" Aurora screamed at him, tears running down her cheeks.
Sebastian clenched his jaw. "Enough. I do not want to talk about.."
"No!" Aurora clenched her fists, resisting the urge to slap him again.
"You despise me, you lie to me, and you avoid me like a plague. I will continue to put up with all of those, as I have been doing." She pointed at him, her eyes filled with tears. "But I will not tolerate betrayal from you!"
It hurt so much! He was inflicting unbearable pain on her! He was doing too much! Too much... She wasn't sure if she could take it anymore.
"You belong to me." She pushed him, her hands against his chest, but he stood firm, his stoic expression unchanging as he continued to stare at her.
"Enough." He grabbed her wrist, staring at her. Hard!
She returned his stare with an insane, defiant expression. "Let go of me."
Sebastian strengthened his grip. "Whatever you think or say about me is true. I have betrayed you and you should hate me for it."
Aurora couldn't believe him! "You are a coward. You are and always will be a coward."
Sebastian's eyes darkened. "What did you call me?"
"Are you deaf?" Aurora asked, tugging her hand forcefully.
Sebastian hissed, feeling deeply offended by her words and that look in her eye. "Do not provoke me, Ma méchante."
"Let go of me, Sebastian," Her voice was low and drawling, the words dripping with a venomous hiss, a clear warning sign. "Leave me alone!"
Sebastian let her go. But before she could create some distance between them, he swiftly grasped her chin, his hand holding her in place. "Shut that mouth of yours."
Aurora clamped her teeth, clasping his hand in both of her hands. "How would you feel if you found me naked in the arms of another? Maybe that will help you understand my feelings more, coward."
Sebastian's lips trembled. Crouching his face before hers, he tightened his hold on her chin. "Take that thought out of your head."
"I will do whatever pleases me." Aurora hissed, digging her claws harshly into his palm.
He winced in pain, releasing her chin, and she forced a smile to hide her own discomfort.
She locked her intense gaze on him. Her eyes narrowed, searching for any hint of remorse or explanation. She refused to just accept his words. She needed to see the truth in his eyes, something to convince her that her suspicions were wrong.
Sighing deeply, she turned away, her eyes fixed on the door as she fought the urge to leave. A wave of nausea washed over her, and she knew it was time to leave before the situation escalated further.
Honestly, she felt stupid. Stupid for not making a big deal when she caught him with another woman.
By her scent, she was clearly an Omega.
Sebastian.... This was the same Sebastian who had once promised her the world, who had sworn to love her forever. Now, she felt like a fool for believing him.
Taking a deep breath, she moved stiffly towards the door, instinctively shielding her stomach with her hand, hiding the evidence of her vulnerability.
It was not like he could care less about her.
"Let's get a divorce. Right now."
