Chapter 1 - Unfortunate Endings & New Beginnings

In a stormy and rainy day, A normal boy woke up and got dressed, he ate yogurt and got his bag ready for school. When the time came for him to leave, he grabbed his door key, his bag and left with an umbrella in hand while walking towards the nearest bus stop. They were unreliable, sure, as you never knew if the bus was going to be early or late, never on time. But it was the only option today. His parents were out of town dealing with a familial issue and his siblings had already gotten to school. He himself had a weird schedule today as one of the teachers that was supposed to be there first hour of the morning couldn't come in for class, so they were exempt. Anyway, forget his ramblings :). Alix got on the bus that would take him to school and sat at the first seat he could find.

He looked around, trying to finding anything that would satiate his boredom. And in the corner of his eye he spotted that one of his classmates was on the buss as well. She was a normal girl, neither extraordinary nor shy. They hadn't interacted much since they had vastly different lives. He also noticed that the driver was drunk because the bus was going side to side, but there wasn't anything he could do now. He only prayed to whoever was out there to keep him safe.

He had pulled out his phone and started playing a new game that had just released when he heard a loud honk of a horn and found the bus going straight into the rear of a truck, *Gulp*. Then nothing, he looked at his hands and tried to hold a handrail when he fell down, he had phased in and out of the hand rail. This is when he realized that he was a ghost. He freaked out for a while until he just gave up and sat down on the road, cars passing around and right trough him. He thought about his life, how short and unfulfilling it was. He wasn't able to do anything memorable, not even graduate. Gradually, police and firefighters came to rescue the passengers, but it was too late. He… he was already dead. What would happen to him now? he didn't believe in any religion; would he just disappear forever without a trace?

Alix stayed there for an unknown amount of time, contemplating what would be of his life after such an important event. He saw his funeral… the sight of his family crying for him still reverberated in his mind. Yet when he was left to his own devises once more, an ethereal hand grabbed him and pulled him into the starry sky.

For some time after, he was covered by a blanket of darkness, no body, nothing, only darkness. But as time ticked on, He continued to notice changes in his mind and body. What was once only a lump of flesh started growing. It may have been gradual and slow, but it was definitely growing to form what could be considered a human torso. As time went on, he continued to notice at the changes working on the body in front of him, it had started to become more human like, arms, legs and even a head… WAIT! WAIT! WHAT THE FUCK! The ears are pointy and its gender is female! He started going into deep thought. Would this be his future? had he been reborn into a fantasy world? Would he be a woman?! And even though he wanted to deny it, the signs were all there. The pointy ears, the changed gender… I DON'T WANT TO BE A FUCKING ELF PRINCESS!

Alix started to twist and turn, to kick the living shit out of his surroundings and to do everything possible to protest his current situation. But as he did that, he gradualy found out that he too had arms, he too had a head with pointy ears. BUT, most importantly, HE… WAS… A… MAN!

And for a long time forward, neither would he complain or look at the other body there. Of which he would later conclude that it was his sister. What he would do in the other hand, was cry buckets and oceans of happiness after the prior discovery.

POV CHANGE: (????)

In a peaceful cottage in the forest, A pregnant Elf with long Black hair and deep blue eyes sat on a chair, humming a peaceful melody. But she was interrupted by the sound of the door creaking open.

 - We really need to get that door fixed Adelaid.

Said a maid as she came into the room. She was an Elf with black hair and violet eyes.

 - Do you really think that your father will let you run away and elope with a human? I'm worried that sooner or later, He will find us.

 - Do you really think I had a choice? They found out I was pregnant with the child of a Human. If I dared stay there… They would burn me alive. You know how the Elders are with their traditions. Especially for us High Elves.

They both sighed and looked at each other

 - How long has It been since we left that dreaded mansion Adelaid?

 - We traveled here for two months, making sure to mask our tracks. And we have been here for ten months, so It's been twelve months. They've got to be ready to pop out soon.

Then a man walked into the cottage, he had brown hair and emerald eyes with unkempt short hair.

 - How are the kids Adelaid? It has to be more than one since your belly is so big!

 - Well, they have been getting very active recently. One of them started kicking and the other started to move too. How was business today Avid?

 - Well, you know how it is, trying to get food and trade the gold that you stole from your father. But… We are going to need to move soon, they are catching up to us.

Avid was the only one providing for the money necessary, he was a merchant and was very successful until he eloped with Adelaid and got his possessions seized by her father. After all, he was a very powerful man, A high elf, the nobility of the Elves.
