The charity event continues as the number of people that arrives started to die down. Almost everyone is present there and luckily there are enough tables for them.
Kids around are playing while the adults are talking things out. Many of the poor slum dwellers didn't even mind the others nor thanked the crew. It was kind of expected as the attitude like theirs are rotten like their current situation.
But that's no reason for the kind hearted to still reach out a helping hand to them, because among the ungrateful bunch, There are still those who are in great need and grateful for this gesture.
Satoru still continued to give out rations and soups to the kids. He would rather be stuck with the children than be with the adult ones, while also keeping an eye on Astraea.
Satoru: "Well, I guess that's every kid here. I wonder if there are any more coming?" He wondered.
He then proceeded to go back next to Astraea as he was finished with his task, and helped Astraea with the handouts.
But just a few moments then, a new face shows up in the crowd, a high spirited blue haired appears with her bubbly personality and full of energy laughs.
Satoru: "Hm? Ardee, was it?" Satoru asked as he turns his head around to see the blue haired girl.
Ardee: "Eh?! Kaguya's brother, Gojo-san! How nice to see you! What are you doing here? I'm fine, what about you?" Ardee bombarded Satoru.
Satoru wasn't even confused or anything, he was like that after all. But Ardee did confuse Astraea as she watched the two of them.
Astraea: "Ara, Ardee~ I thought you were never gonna arrive. We are just finishing, you know?"
Ardee: "Ah! Apologies, Goddess Astraea, I was a bit caught up upholding justice and keeping the city safe!" She said while posing.
Which now Satoru finds cringe because he also did the same thing in the past, and looking back on it, he wishes he can kill himself.
But Ardee didn't seemed to be anything weirded out as she glints her eyes to Satoru.
Ardee: 'Wow, Kaguya's brother is really a hottie~ I envy her sooo much! If I have someone like him with me everyday under the same roof, I would never leave the house!'
Ardee's mind is a mess as she... unholyingly thought of things that are quite extreme.
Satoru: "Well, we don't have her anymore... We are almost done so I guess I could start picking up everything."
Satoru said as she left the daydreaming Ardee alone with Goddess Astraea, Astraea was quite shocked at Ardee's actions and as sharp as she is... She doesn't get why.
One kid enters the premises, covered in rugged robe and quite famished judging by the looks. A volunteer saw him and quickly made another bowl and rushed to gave it to him.
Satoru looks over and stares for a bit... He have a bad feeling about it, But as he just realized it.
The kid quickly took out a knife and stabbed the volunteer in the neck and deeply pushed it further down her throat. Satoru immediately jumped from his position and kicked the kid away, blasting him through the wall.
He then caught the falling volunteer, as he quickly pulled the dagger out and tries healing her using Reverse Curse Technique... But he was too late, there was no more life in the eye of the girl.
Everyone now just realized what has happened, and are quite panicking as they tries to get away. Astraea and Ardee tried to calm them all down but just them.
The kid took out something from his robe as he tries to catch his breath after being kicked by Satoru. Satoru saw the very thing in the kids hands. It was an inferno stone.
The kid then, with a sinister smile on his face, clenched the inferno stone so hard that it has been activated to explode. But Satoru was much faster as he flicked his arm and sent out the stone flying outside.
"Something's not right..."
Before he could move, another explosion rocked the area. Inferno Stones detonated, sending debris flying and igniting parts of the street in flames. Chaos ensued. People screamed and scattered in terror as figures emerged from the shadows—cloaked individuals with cruel smirks. Evilus had arrived.
Evilus: "Tsk, Satoru Gojo. Our intel are quite few despite us sending many believers to you. Now I want you to show me more."
one of them sneered, pointing a jagged sword at him.
Evilus 2: "We will kill you, and bring forth the promised day!"
Satoru's lips curled into a smirk.
Satoru: "Oh? You went through all this trouble just for me? I'm flattered."
Astraea's eyes narrowed.
Astraea: "Evilus… You dare strike during a charity event?!" Her voice was filled with righteous fury, but she knew they weren't just here for senseless violence. This was a calculated attack.
More explosions erupted, and Evilus members spread out, attacking civilians and causing further panic. A few Familia members and adventurers tried to fight back, but the attackers had planned well—several adventurers had already been poisoned or incapacitated before they could even react.
One of the masked figures lunged at Gojo, blade aimed for his throat. However—
Clang.
The sword stopped midair, hovering just centimeters away from his skin. The assailant's eyes widened in shock.
Evilus 4: "W-what the hell?!"
Satoru: "Ah, sorry, but you can't touch me. Infinity's a real pain, isn't it?" Satoru chuckled, tilting his head.
The attacker snarled and tried again, but every strike failed to reach its mark, stopping just before making contact.
Evilus 3:"Tch! Kill him already!"
A dozen Evilus members swarmed Satoru at once.
He sighed.
Satoru: "You guys never learn."
Raising his hand, his fingers curled slightly, and space itself distorted around him.
Satoru: "(Reversal Technique: Red)"
In an instant, the attackers were forcefully repelled, as if a gravitational force had suddenly reversed around Satoru. They were flung back violently, some crashing into buildings while others rolled across the dirt. The sheer force of the technique left many of them unconscious on impact.
One particularly stubborn member rose to his feet, shaking.
Evilus 5:"W-we're not done yet!"
Satoru exhaled sharply, his smirk widening.
Satoru: "Alright, let's step things up."
Without hesitation, he activated Blue, causing the air to twist and pull violently. The struggling Evilus members were dragged toward him, their bodies colliding mid-air as if drawn by an invisible vortex. The sheer force crushed weapons and cracked bones before launching them away in a final, explosive release.
The remaining attackers, realizing they had vastly underestimated their target, faltered.
Evilus: "M-Monster…!" one of them muttered before attempting to flee.
But Satoru was faster.
He appeared before the last conscious enemy in a flash, his blindfolded gaze seemingly piercing straight through them.
Satoru: "You planned all this just for me? I'd feel bad if I didn't give you a proper send-off."
With a flick of his wrist, the air pressure surged—
And in the next instant, the remaining Evilus members were incapacitated, rendered unconscious by the sheer force of his technique.
Silence fell.
Astraea, who had been tending to the wounded, slowly rose, her expression torn between awe and relief. The immediate threat had been neutralized.
Astraea: "You… you held back, didn't you?" she asked, observing Satoru as he casually dusted off his sleeves.
He grinned.
Satoru: "Of course! I'm not a villain. I just made sure they wouldn't be getting up anytime soon."
Ardee, who had been watching the battle unfold in stunned silence, finally found her voice.
Ardee: "That was insane… You didn't even break a sweat!"
Satoru stretched lazily.
Satoru: "Well, it'd be embarrassing if I did, right?"
The charity event had been left in ruins, but thanks to Satoru's swift intervention, casualties had been minimized. The Evilus' plan to capture him had been utterly foiled.
But... was it really their plan? To capture Satoru Gojo?
Satoru: 'There is still something not right. It will take a few more minutes before other Familias arrive here, yet they only sent this much despite knowing me being here'
Just then, with his Six Eyes, he saw that the people wounded in the crowd. Some of them are actually part of Evilus and they are gonna detonate the inferno stones!
One of the robed ones, specifically wearing colored blue, stood up and grabbed a kid from the wounded ones!
Ardee quickly took out her sword and went straight to the Robed man. But she was too late!
Evilus: "COME! GOJO SATORU! LET US GO AND TRY KILLING EACH OTHER TO DEATH! I HOPE THAT YOU ARE READY TO TRY WHILE PROTECTING EVERYONE IN THIS PLACE!"
The evilus screamed as he stabbed one of the kids in the chest. The whole place was in shambles as they were attacked by the Evilus with many suicide bombers.
Satoru: 'I need to keep Astraea-sama safe! FUCKING EVILUS!'
Satoru: "ARDEE! GET ASTRAEA-SAMA OUT OF HERE NOW!"
He screamed as he stopped Ardee from rushing, but Ardee didn't hear him as emotions filled her with anger after the man just stabbed the kid right in his chest.
Ardee: "AAAAAAHHHH!!" She screamed as she brought down her sword towards the blue robed Evilus.
Ardee went in and clashed swords with the robed man as inferno stones around them exploded. The number of people dying are rising as everyone their panics.
Their screams are filled with anguish, fear, and sadness as the explosions continues. Satoru was stuck there. There are many things to be done to help everyone. But he is capable of cold logic, but with this much, he is losing it.
Astraea, she was his number one priority, he has to get her somewhere safe! But the people!
Satoru: "What do I do!"
Just then.
Astraea: "Satoru! Don't mind me and focus your mind! Do what you have to do!" She shouted.
But with her shout, the downed evilus members started to stand back up and rushed towards Astraea.
Astraea tries to use the table as a cover, but she was too slow as those robed ones are Level 2.
Dagger nearing her chest, her eyes widens by how fast things has been... Earlier they were just handing out rations, now it was a terrorist attack...
The peace has made them too complacent. And this is the cause of that carelessness.
But he can't let this slide... It was a true gamble.
Satoru: "(Domain Expansion: Infinite Void)"
