I woke up in my familiar bed, sunlight streaming through the window, casting a warm glow on everything it touched. The room smelled like fresh haystack and morning dew. Blinking my eyes, I turned to see Tom standing by the mirror, popping zits with his fingers, a bad habit of his. He was in his usual carefree state, oblivious to my confusion which had now casted on my face like what the hell is happening here.
"What are you looking at?" Tom said, noticing my gaze. I rushed to him and hugged him tightly, tears welling up in my eyes.
"Hey...hey...what is up with you?" he asked, his voice full of genuine concern. "Thank God you're alive, Uwaaaaa...Uwaaaa..." I cried into his shoulder.
Tom patted my head, trying to soothe my worries. "There, there...you're being a freak again, little brother," he said, his voice gentle and calming. "Tell me, what did you dream about this time?"
