Scheming Queen B
In the grand library of Orion High, with its towering bookshelves and ornate chandeliers, Janice sat at a polished mahogany table, her phone glowing in the dim light. Surrounded by leather-bound volumes and the faint scent of old paper, she typed away with a focused expression, her diamond bracelet catching the soft gleam of the reading lamps. Janice quietly exchanged messages, her eyes darting around to ensure nobody's around.
Janiceπ§ββοΈ: Guess who I'm spending the weekend with? π€
Celineπ: Ooo, who is it? Austin? No! Did he finally asked you out? Tell me! π
Janiceπ§ββοΈ: Austin of course! But it's a group date, so his gang will also be there.
Celineπ: You mean, Zach and Jake?! OMG, you're so lucky! You know, I love them trio!
Janiceπ§ββοΈ: And guess who invited herself over?
Celineπ: Oh no, please tell me she didn't?!
Janiceπ§ββοΈ: She did. π₯²
Celineπ: Jan, girl, Little Ms. Geek is driving me nuts! π€¬ Just say the word Queen, and she's a goner π‘π‘π‘
Janiceπ§ββοΈ: Chill CC, I'm sure Austin and I will be just fine. I mean, It's Austin. He won't let someone like her...well I actually...π€
Celineπ: What tell me!
Janiceπ§ββοΈ: I think Austin, might get persuaded by her. She's just so good, when it comes to men. Looks can really be deceiving.
Celineπ: Jan, like always, leave everything to me. I'll take care of that geek. π‘
Celine effortlessly shared the new information Janice told her in social media. Even though she didn't name names, people caught on pretty quickly.
Orion High School Chatroom
Candice516π: What's wrong with her? Why can't she leave Austin and Janice alone?
Violetπͺ»23: She likes the attention. I saw her at the lounge earlier. Janice was also there. Ugh, pick-me girls are the worst!
Jet69β€: Thot! Hmmm, maybe I shouldΒ be nice to her too so I can get some.
Beeπ3: Maybe Ms. Geek and Mr. Perfect like each other?

Veronica was walking through the hallways of Orion High, lost in her thoughts about the upcoming mathalon competition. She was taken by surprise when Heti caught up to her, her face a mix of concern and intrigue.
"Ron, my gosh, these people... Have you seen what they've been saying to you in Orion High's chatrooms?" Heti said, trying to catch her breath.
Heti passed her phone to Veronica, revealing the brutal comments being circulated about her once again.
"They're crazy! Why do people think Austin and Janice are a couple, and why do they think I'm flirting with Austin when we literally haven't done anything?" Veronica said, clearly frustrated by the whole situation.
"Uhm, Ron, I just have to tell you what I heard because you might not be aware of it. I overheard that Janice and Austin are practically dating, especially around the time you asked him out. It was also mentioned that Austin only went along with it because he's a nice guy and didn't know how to reject you." Heti said, her tone sympathetic.
"Nonsense," Jake said, surprising both Heti and Veronica as they hadn't even noticed him approaching them. He continued, "Austin and Janice never dated, nor were they ever close to dating. I'm sorry for interrupting, but I just can't help but correct this utter nonsense I'm hearing," Jake said, now seemingly embarrassed.
Veronica breathed a sigh of relief. The last thing she wanted was to ruin someone's relationship. If there was anything romantic going on between Austin and Janice, she believed she would have heard about it from Austin himself.
"Thanks for clarifying that, Jake," Heti said with a grateful smile in her voice.
"Anytime," Jake said as he guided both of them to their next class.
Meanwhile, Austin and Zach are chilling in the secluded rooftop garden of Orion High School. The rooftop garden offers panoramic views of the surrounding cityscape and lush greenery, adorned with statues, exotic plants, and comfortable seating areas for relaxation. Zach scrolled through his phone, his expression turning serious as he saw the new gossip about Veronica online.
"Hey Austin, have you seen this? It says Veronica is getting between Janice and you," Zach remarked, showing the post to Austin. Concern etched on his face, Zach continued, "You should talk to Janice about this before things escalate."
Austin furrowed his brow, uncertain of how to interpret the situation. "I don't know, man. Janice is so sensitive these days. I don't think she's aware of any of this," he replied skeptically.
Zach nodded, "I get it, but it's better to address it sooner rather than later. Clear the air before it gets out of hand."
Austin nodded thoughtfully, the seed of doubt planted in his mind as he contemplated Zach's words.
After the conversation with Zach, Austin felt a sense of urgency to address the rumors circulating about him, Janice, and Veronica. As he sat in his next class, unable to shake off the unsettling feeling, Austin discreetly messaged Janice on his phone.
"Hey Janice, can we talk after school? There's something important I need to discuss with you,"
Austin typed, his fingers tapping the keys with a mix of apprehension and determination. Sending the message, he anxiously awaited Janice's response, hoping to clear the air and put an end to the rumors once and for all.
Finally Janice replied, "It's a date!"
Upon receiving Janice's response, Austin felt a surge of awkwardness wash over him. Her reply left him unsure of how to interpret it, adding a layer of complexity to their impending conversation. Despite the uncertainty, Austin focused on getting through the rest of the school day, looking forward to the opportunity to talk to Janice and set things straight after school.
The King and Queen of Orion High
After school, Austin and Janice found a quiet spot in the school courtyard to have their conversation. The tension was palpable as they both sat down, unsure of how to broach the delicate topic at hand. Birds chirped in the background, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves of nearby trees, creating a calming atmosphere despite the weight of their discussion.
"Janice, I wanted to talk to you about something that's been bothering me," Austin began, his words hesitant as he searched for the right way to express himself. Janice nodded, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern, her eyes fixed on Austin, waiting for him to continue.
As Austin explained the rumors that had been circulating and the impact they were having on him and Veronica, Janice listened attentively, her brow furrowed in thought. She could sense the sincerity in Austin's words and the unease in his voice. "I had no idea these rumors were going around," Janice said, her voice soft with sincerity. "I would never want to come between you and Veronica or cause any misunderstandings. I value our friendship too much to let anything jeopardize it." Her words carried a sense of reassurance and honesty that eased some of the tension between them.
What Austin didn't know was that Janice Hayes is a good actress and Austin has been deceived. While they were talking, Celine was hiding and discreetly capturing their special moments from the sidelines, snapping photos to share on social media.

Subsequently, as Veronica, Heti, and Jake made their way to the parking lot after a long day at school, the sun casting a warm glow over the campus, a sense of exhaustion mingled with anticipation for the evening ahead. Just as they were about to bid each other farewell and head their separate ways, Veronica's phone chimed with a notification, drawing her attention.
"What the heck is this?" Veronica said as she continued to scroll on her phone.
She was confronted with images of Austin and Janice seated intimately close together, their smiles radiant in the captured moment, now plastered across Orion High's bustling Web Forum. A sudden pang of emotion gripped Veronica's heart, a mix of confusion, hurt, and betrayal swirling within her, causing tears to well up in her eyes, much to the surprise and concern of Heti and Jake, who exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of how to comfort their distressed friend in this unexpected moment of vulnerability.
"It was just one date, you guys, just one. The students at Orion High went crazy over just one date with Mr. Perfect," she rambled. "I don't think I want to do this anymore. I'm not even sure if Austin is worth all this drama," Veronica said, tears streaming down her face. Heti and Jake watched helplessly as she sobbed.
