Maverick was insanely focused on the road, speeding like he never had before while Ramon was making a call to the hospital ahead. Martin and Grandpa were still riled up with shock. They didn't understand where this kid came from, but it couldn't be more obvious that he was related to their family!
After another five minutes of driving, the car pulled to a stop in front of the hospital, and the prepared stretchers were immediately brought forward. The emergency staff quickly wheeled Richard into a treatment room, leaving Maverick, Luke, Ramon, Martin, and Grandpa Bright to watch anxiously from the waiting area.
Maverick seemed deep in thought as he sat on the chair, his eyes blank. Grandpa and Martin were also lost in thought, and several times, one could see them glancing at Maverick, while holding back what was on their minds for later.
Maverick finally stood up and excused himself. He went to a corner and made a call to someone.
