Chapter 144 - Dilemma

Luke's expression was fierce, and he looked angry as he glared at his younger sister's child, whom he had been raising for this day. Yet here was, running away like a stupid bull instead of taking the advantage of the situation!

"Do you know what you're doing?! You damn bastard son of a wench! How dare you leave the party halfway!" He rebuked fiercely, the vein on his neck popping.

Richard took a deep breath to calm the fury he too was feeling as he eyed the man he had grown up calling father. His chest tightened at the blazing fury in Luke's eyes, and he slowly took another deep breath. "I can't do this anymore," he said slowly, softly, calmly, his calm blue eyes, the color of the ocean, holding the furious gaze of Luke.

Luke's whole body shook with anger, his expression turning ugly as he pointed a trembling finger at Richard. "You—You! Do you even know what you're saying? Do you know what you're talking about?!"
